*If you do not like a pairing DO NOT post in that pairing FC. If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically recieve a ban.

*You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

*Neg reps to rival pairing fc posts over such things won't be tolerated. I consider this being in an FC of a pairing you don't like therefore breaking a rule.

*I'd suggest just totally not reading the fc of the pairing you don't like but I know that is never gonna happen. You all wanna be able to talk about other pairings so much well fine but just be prepared for others to do it about your favourite pairing also. These rules were changed as per YOUR wishes so don't come complaining to me when you decide you don't like the change.

Ch27: Ichigo and Rukia at Don Kanonji. Ichigo noting Rukia having gentle side to her. First time access to Ichigo's thoughts of Rukia.
Ch33: Ichigo, Rukia and friends were brought to the principal's office for showing up on National TV. Rukia got them out of trouble, Ichigo and Rukia walking next to each other and in Ichigo fidgeting about the possibility of rumours being close to Rukia.
Ch34: Ichigo getting nervous when he feels rumours spread about him and Rukia. XD (Refer Chapter 7, Ichigo told Mizuiro that he doesn't care what other people thinks of him, but this chapter he became inconsistent and anxious about the rumours. XD) Slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 6:
Ch52: Rukia is running away, and remembers the lunch she had with the girls. Slight Rukia --> Ichigo.

Volume 7:
Ch53: Ichigo worries, and find her with Renji and Byakuya.
Ch54: Ichigo-Renji first fight. Renji explaining how Rukia protected him by going out. ^^
Ch55: Rukia understanding Ichigo's reaction, and still wanting him safe, helps him out. He freaks out, and is about to defeat Renji when Byakuya helps his VC.
Ch56: Rukia wanting to be by Ichigo's side, who is deeply injured. Ending up helping him and saving him. Is taken away, leaving Ichigo in despair.
Ch57: Ichigo's despair (not wanting to live anymore) and resolution to go and save Rukia, to become stronger for her.
Ch58: Ichigo's sad when he understands that no one reminds of Rukia, and left pondering when he realises that the world still continue to live without her.

Volume 9:
Ch79: feel the life coming back to Rukia when Renji told her about Ichigo barging in. ^^

Volume 10:
Ch81: Ichigo's talking with Ganjuu about Rukia, slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 11:
Ch94: pure IchiRuki goodness, brought by Hanatarou and Ichigo reminding Rukia.
Ch95: Ichigo and Renji second fight ^^ Ichigo saying that he doesn't care about his opponents, and he'll save Rukia.

Volume 12:
Ch105: Ganjuu insist on going to save Rukia, because that's what Ichigo wants the most.
Ch106: Chad explains that Ichigo went all out for Rukia, just to save her
Ch110: Ichigo's resolve to fight and save Rukia saved him against Zaraki (Zangetsu bringing him into his world).

Well Syn mentioned the subject of "mood rings" some time ago, and I felt inspired to do a workup of Ichigo and Rukia and how "compatible" they may or may not be using real-life standards, even though they're not real. Written while under the influence of caffeine.

Sure Ichigo & Rukia are characters in an Epic Romantic Tale, and they have mad chemistry, but like, are they really compatible?

Astrology, as a couple:

CANCER AND CAPRICORN

There’s an initial sexual attraction because they are a polarity in the zodiac. If they can overcome their opposites in temperament, they can make a winning combination. I tried put myself in a zen state to do a tarot reading, but kept getting readings for my self instead, will try to focus harder next time!

I don't really think this can be used to judge anything much cause "mood jewellry" utilizes a type of liquid crystal in it's base that twists and changes the light refractioncolour depending on body temperature. The crystals are calibrated to be a green/blue for a person's normal resting temperature.

But anyway:

The top of the list is the warmest temperature, at violet, moving to the coolest temperature, at black.

I would like to point out that to tell the compatibility of two horoscopes, you do not use only the Sun signs, but also the Venus and Mars signs. By using only the Sun signs, it isn't very accurate. Venus and Mars are the planets which relate to romance and sexuality, respectively. However, in order to find out what Ichigo and Rukia's other signs are, we would need the year of their births, which Kubo-sensei isn't telling.

Can anyone do an accurate guess? I wouldn't mind helping to check up the compatibility of their signs... :p.

I know that I (and others) have pointed this out before, but the number SIX (6), rather significant for Ichigo and Rukia, because:
Ichigo and Rukia are both male and female n.6 in their class. Their birthdays are 6 months apart... Renji and Byakuya are both in the 6th division, and Grimmjow is the 6th Espada...

Interestingly, 6 is also a 'perfect' number in maths, and is the Lovers' card in Tarot reading. (It's up in Wikipedia.)

There's still the symbolic yellow rose. 'Dying love', debbiechan had said it meant. It is very true, if you were to retense it to 'dead love'. Rukia is dead, afterall.


Signs being uncompatible doesn't mean a couple cannot be together. It's just that they would have more problems to overcome. If they do manage to reach the finishing line, their relationship would end up a lot stronger, for they have gone through the hardships.

That's what I believe.

Finally found time to watch 144!
*Urg* I don't like the opening that much *_*. It's a fact that it's not shippy. If one compare it (again) to Ichirin no Hana (SS arc theme) opening it's shippy and Rukia didn't really look like a damsel in distress (-_-). Orihime...just keeps falling that made me think she wants someone to catch her. AKFGeneration's opening of Naruto and Naruto fits the series more. The ED is good. Ichigo lying thinking about his friends, yet when he pictured Rukia in his mind he woke up :D Sort of opening his eyes to reality, just like what Rukia is always doing to him.

That Shinigami mizukan...they actually showed IchiRuki moments at the last second. I definitely love it :D

I'm seeing that in the future chapters Ichigo/Rukia will talk how they met fatefully. It's not a mere coincindence, coz' they both change each other lives.

Tarot cards: I'm fond of this since x/1999. And if ever Kubo will incorporate this in Bleach, I might've want IchiRuki as the Lover Card :D And it has good interpretations. Someone draw a fanart of this...

Ichigo is someone who will be able to create his own 'destiny'. IchiRuki's caption is 'the story of destiny begins' -- Ichigo is the one who started that isn't it? If he didn't made his presence known to Rukia then they wouldn't have met. (but of course everyone knows that). Ichigo didn't let go of that destiny with Rukia, the proof is his firm resolve to save her. If ever it will be their 'destiny' to be apart (which will be impose by SS, or Rukia(?) herself in the future), I strongly believe Ichigo will not accept it, more so, he will change it. Go, power of love!

As far as the tarot cards go, I think trying to equate the major arcana with characters is a mistake, as generally they represent influencing forces or significant events. If you want to look at characterisations in the cards go for the court cards in the four suits of the minor arcana.

I actually don't believe in those kind of things. "Opposite attracts" & "Like characters attract" It doesn't really matter 'cuz it's just a text. A written speculation. People have different attitudes and way of thinking. No matter how incompatible you are with another, there will always be a bridge across that incompatibility.

Like people saying, IchiOri is more compatible VS us saying IchiRuki is more compatible. What matters is their interaction and what they do to nurture that compatibility. That is where IchiOri is lacking.

yllanger, but Bleach is all about fate and destiny! Ichigo having the power to crush destiny is still based on the fact that 'destiny' exists. It's possible that Kubo-sensei had reserched on everything, including horoscopes and hidden symbols, before he'd written BLEACH.

IchiRuki can be said to be 'opposing fate', but in the end, they would still be trapped in fate.

It's like the chicken and egg question, I suppose. After escaping fate, they would drop simultaneously into another fate; there isn't a starting and ending point?

Talking about Tarots and astrology, I must admit that I'm rather pagan, too. I used to have a teacher who told me that everything is 'coiincidential', that there isn't such a thing as 'telling the future'. But astrology is the reading of the stars and planets, and God (sorry, shouldn't be talking religion) had created the heavens, yes? The stars are destined to move on and on in their orbits, and astrologers are simply reading their movements. People have found that the star-charts do affect our own lives, so could we also say that the stars have been created as God's way to guide our lives?

Aww, fwiw, I had a slight jumpy moment when you mentioned the major arcana being forces and not people--I went THAT'S RIGHT, LOOK ANOTHER TAROT READER! I haven't read the Tarot in years, though. It never occurred to me to do a reading for the outcome of Bleach but I suppose any reading would follow the natural course of "me and Bleach" and my own personal relationship to the story. Maybe if I get bored enough, I'll post a reading for you guys. I'll ask the question "what will happen between Rukia and Ichigo in Kubo Tite's Bleach story?" and see what I get. Could be fun. Should be worthless, though. ***looks around*** I'm not a good reader.

Liz, you're one the best things about IchiRuki, LJ and the Bleach fandom. *snort* I was a lousy palm reader. In fact one of the first things my future husband did to catch my attention happened when he first met me reading palms at a party. He grabbed my hand and said "hmmm, I see a LONG UNEMPLOYMENT LINE."

Back to IchiRuki, another relationship that was born in sarcasm, I think it's great how Ichigo doesn't believe in horoscopes, Shinigami and is not a fan of Don Kanonji in the beginnning of the manga. He would have to have the most resistant attitude to destiny. It'll be neat if at some point in the story he'll have to acknowledge the two, three, several dozen coincidences that had to come into play for he and Rukia to meet. For some reason, I can see Urahara performing the wedding. :lmao
