I bet the elites would end up being like the aliens from Alien though.

Hope they have FPS angles like Doom. That was the best part of the movie. That movie was trash though ><.

I hate to dissappoint you but all 3 of those were promotional movie clips for the release of HALO 3. They were just part of a mini series like clone wars.

I wouldn't get excited over a videogame-based movie. The problem is that they don't stick true to the storyline. They come up with something completely new. They should treat it like manga->anime or book->movie.
It's these new storylines that made me not like Doom or the Resident Evil movies.

I think Halo looks awesome from the trailers, looks way better than Doom.

They shouldn't have touched doom. It's a classic example of what was going on games at the time. Focus on graphics and game play and not much on story. It wasn't worth making into a movie no matter how awesome and classic it is as a game.

How about the lack of a strong central plot and the fact that it was simply a bunch of fan service fights mashed together? Even answerman holds that opinion (actually surprised babbo there) >.>

I think Doom should've been based on the first 2 games and it would've done so much better. Who really cares about some stupid new game with zombies or mutilated humans with weird virus junky blah. Give us weird fireball shooting monsters and ugly men with shotguns and pigfaced thingys throwing green slime at you!! XD

Now that would've been epic, all the weapons and what not.

Well stopping Sephiroth from taking over the world was the plot and I think all the fights did that quite well. Thats the plot, perhaps its too simple for the liking of some. Was quite fanserviced yes but its not a bad thing in my opinion, still added to the plot and was nice to watch XD.

As for Halo, I believe its quite easy to do seriously, just stick with the game storyline, make everything look like it does in the game and its a perfect movie!
