A disturbance in rukongai! (Plot thread)

[Primera Espada]

In the 78th district of rukongai's south quarter, one would expect violence. However, there has been suspicious activity as of late.

Crime rate has gone down.

Something seems to be changing, and not for the better. A man known only as "Boss" has moved in, and is attempting to organize the people of the district, with intent of working his way up.

Sereitei obviously is concerned of what an organized group of malicious individuals might do, and so they encourage their shinigami to investigate if they are in the area.

In addition to all that, the local rukongai citizens are becoming frightened, and are attempting to hunt down strong men to help break up this future mafia house.

Everyone who posts at least 5 posts here gains 40 points.

in an alleyway in the 79th district Kenpachi Zaraki suddenly wakes up

"i have a good feeling about today"

starts wondering twords 78th district in search of a fight


A little later in the day Kenpachi Has entered 78th district and notices 3 shady guys following him. abrouply he stop and turns around to face them but they are gone

"that was odd" thought kenpachi


later that day as kenpachi was sitting down to eat a group of guys walked up behind him each carring a weapon

"we want you to come with us, our assosiate wants to discuss somthing with you" said one of them

"im eating, tell your assosiate that if he wants somthing he can come to me presonally or just shove it" replied kenpachi
"WHY YOU INSOLANT LITTLE WHELP!" Said one of the men raising a bat "ill killyo......" was all he got in before his head bounced down the street the other men backed away slowly
"anyone else want to try and persuade me cause i havent had a good fight in weeks" growled kenpachi "WE WONT FORGET THIS!" yelled one of them as they ran away
*Pfft..weaklings* thought kenpachi as he sat backdown to eat

this was going to get interesting

"Ora!" Nobuo called out to the crazy acting rukongai citizen.

He was perched up on a rooftop, having watched the whole situation unfold.

"Try not to kill the next one. I could have interrogated him," Nobuo added.

He didn't care much what happened in this district, it was a dog eat dog world out here. But orders are orders.

"Besides, if you get to be too violent, you'll meet your end prematurely,"

Nobuo hopped down from the roof, and approached Kenpachi with caution.

"Your too brash to be from this district... lobbin off one of the boss' thug's head... you must not know what's goin on,"

It was a simple tactic, bring up the subject without revealing too much, to see what the man knew.

"boss? hahaha" stands up and gets in his face"what are you talking about, what boss" to command weaklings like that, must not be much of a boss"

...."wait...who the hell are ya and what do you meen ill meet my end prematurely, are ya thretening me guy?

Sigh...78th District and 11th Division, not my cup of tea. Still, he had to admit though 11th Division was a bit rough in the way they did things, they got the job done at least

"He means to say that if you piss the wrong people off in this place, you're going to die," Keiji stated bluntly. "So it'd be in your best interest to play nice hmm."

Zaraki laughes "ok fine this sounds like it could turn into somthing fun" sits down "explane it to me then"

Nobuo noticed Keiji, and wasn't all surprised. Keiji seemed to pop up everywhere.

"This guy, he's a local mob boss, no one knows how he is exactly. But he's runnin the show down here, and those goons are his," he explained.

Eyes shifted back and forth a moment, and then Nobuo stepped to the side, pulling a curtain from the doorway.

"How about we get somewhere not so... easily heard?" he suggested.

Keiji watched as Nobuo pulled the rukongai citizen aside Hmmm, wonder where they're heading of to. O well, time to look for some information on my own as well. Keiji had donned the wardrobe he owned before becoming a shinigami. It was better to blend in for these kind of things. Course, he still kept both of his zanpakutou on him, wearing them on his back for the moment however. Always better to be safe than sorry, and besides, like 90% of all the citizens here were armed anyway.

Let's see a mafia boss...man was this troublesome. Wonder how I'm supposed to find this guy he pondered as he started wandering the streets. He stopped by a dango stand.

"One order of mitarashi dango please." He then eyed a pretty shady group of guys a small ways off to the right. Well won't this be fun.

follows him inside and sits down at a table in the corner of room

"soo this mob boss. is he strong"?

[Primera Espada]

"strong? Well we don't know. We don't know who he is. However, if thugs like the 78th district follow him... odds are, yah."

"Do us a favor, if you find out anything, let us know. If you find him and want to "solve" our little problem for us... hey, that's out of our hands," he added with a smile.

"Just make sure you get the right one, or we'll have to come get you, instead of him,"

"Those thugs you just scared off will likely come back soon, with reenforcements. I'll question them"

[Mystic Serenade]

"Hey guys," Keiji casually said as he walked towards the bunch whilst eating one of his dango. His reply was simply met with some glares and grunts. So much for the friendly approach...

[ZarakiKenpachi]

"hahahaha reenforcements!!! GOOD this should be fun!" Pauses..."hey you seem strong... wanna go at it?"

[Primera Espada]

Nobuo rolled his eyes a bit.

"Now, think about that for a second. If we fight, and one of us is injured too much to fight, doesn't that mean the chance of my job, taking down the boss, being completed goes down?"

He smirked a bit "But hey, You've got good style. Us 11th division are like you. We love to fight. But there's no point in fighting if it keeps you from possibly fighting later, right?"

Then, there was a commotion. A crash as a table in the market was turned over. Loud noises as well...

"Seems like your buddies are back."

STANDS UP AND GRINNS EXPOSING FANG LIKE TEETH
"I LIKE THE SOUND OF THIS 11TH DIVISION REMIND ME TO CHECK IT OUT LATER BUT FOR RIGHT NOW IVE GOT SOME MORE HEADS TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION" WALKS OUTSIDE AND DRAWS HIS SWORD AS HIS SPIRIT PRESSURE SKYROCKETS "HEY GUYS IVE COME TO COLLECT SOME MORE OF YOUR BODYPARTS HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!:rofl

He rolls his eyes.

"Hey! Crazy guy! You gotta leave them alive for questioning!"

Did he not listen to a word Nobuo just said?

It might be too late, the mob rushed him...

"Ara, this place has been pretty quiet lately don't you think. It's quite boring," he stated trying to stir up some conversation, "any of you guys know anything about this boss guy?" He took another bite of his dango.

His last response finally got him some response, as one of them grabbed him by his collar. "What's it to you?" the man stated, getting his face a little too close to his face than he would have liked.

"Ara, ara, I have proximity standards so please back off a little please. I just want to know what's making things so boring here.

Another man spoke, "Shut up, you think we're idiots? You think we don't know anything way out here? We know you're one of those shinigami rats trying to mess with the boss. Well we ain't gonna let ya!"

Looks like my cover is blown...heh Keiji gave a small smirk. "Oh, so I see you're familiar with this boss eh," he took a last bite of his dango and waved the stick around a bit. "Looks like you guys will be useful to me then."

"We ain't gonna tell you anything, piece o shit shinigami," another said while drawing his sword, his companions followed suit.

"Wrong ganster-san," he said while pointing the skewer at the citizen. He then focused a bit of reiryaku into the stick and threw it at the man, impaling him in his arm. "You'll tell me everything."

"You, you, YOU BASTARD!!!!" The man rushed at Keiji followed by his companions.

Heh, they always end up wanting to do it the hard way. He jumped upward into the sky, drawing his zanpakutou.

Rushes at the charging group of thugs

blocks a swing from a crude sword
"hahahaha is that all you got"
Swings sword and cuts the man in half at the waist laughing
"you know what"
sheaths his sword and opens his robes exposing Rock hard battle worn upper torso"
"ill let ya all have a free shot at me, all of you at once comon! HAHAHAHAHA"

As the thugs look at each other confused, one charges and then the rest follow ,all the blades connect with kenpachi and the thugs smirk,
"is that it....?"
with the battle suddenly horribely one sided the men start to back away and run
"no no no that wont do you all had a shot at me....."eyes glow golden"NOW ITS MY TURN" suddenly kenpachi and his sword are a blurr of flying limbs,blood and screams

suddenly its over and the only things standing are kenpachi and a thug teetering on the edge of shock in kenpachis grasp

"there is your survivor" he says to the 11th division shinigami as he sheaths his sword

Nobuo walks over to the remaning heavily shaken rukongai citizen.

"Play nice, tell me where your boss is, and then this big scary man will go after him instead of y-"

"West! In the center building! Top floor! By the Gong! He's old! Bald! With a beard!"

That was quick, Nobuo started to walk off but...

he sighed.

"Dude, you made him piss himself..." he said, noticing the dark puddle.

"Seriously gross. Get lost kid," he said to the shaken man.

Once in the air, Keiji got a good view of his situation. There were seven of them, none of them had particularly high levels of reiatsu. Scratch that, the majority pretty much had zero reiatsu, save one. Logically, he'd probably be higher up in the hierarchy of whatever gang this was. Looks like you're my man.

He came down fast, breaking two of the men's blades, seeing as they wielded pretty low quality swords. He sheathed both his zanpakutou after his initial assault, it would be a waste to use them on these men.

"Cocky little shit!!!!" roared one as he rushed Keiji from behind followed by another. As he swung down his blade on him, Keiji temporarily flashed from their view, only to reappear behind him.

"I'm sorry, I just have a job to do," he quickly roundhouse kicked the man who ended up flying a few meters ahead. He then followed with a quick elbow to the other man's gut, knocking him unconscious from the force. "Anyone else want to give it a shot?"

One of the men tried running away, but was quickly met with the fist of their leader. "Worthless scum," he said as he spat on his felled companion, "Come on, we're gonna take this guy down and bring him to the boss." They both came at him.

Heh...funny... "I'm sorry, but you two aren't strong enough to take me down, he dodged the incoming swing from the weaker one, and slammed down the side of his hand on the man's neck, effectively knocking him out. Then something happened that he did not expect, he found that he could move neither his arms.

"Ha, don't think you shinigami are the only ones that know kidou," he raised his sword and dashed towards Keiji, "DON'T UNDERESTIMATE US!!!"

Right as the blade was coming down and about to connect with his skull he flared out his reiatsu, breaking the kidou restraints, and caught the blade with his hand. "Sorry, I wasn't underestimating you. I told you already, you are not strong enough to take me down." He then broke the blade with his hand and punched the man with his other fist, punching directly at his solar plexus. The man began to gasp for air. Keiji knelled down next to the man. "So, again, tell me about your boss," he asked while raising the man's head up by his hair.

"...I'll never tell you..."

"I beg to differ," he then noticed a large group of men heading towards the west, the man looked at them with a bit of familiarity and hope. "Heh, guess you're not needed after all." And with that he left them.

"bahahahaha that was fun. now where are we going from here i have some more killing to do, my blood lust is up and if i dont kill soon i dont know what il do HAHAHAHAHAHA"

Nobuo figured he'd just have the freaky rukongai guy do the job for him.

"You heard the man," he spun around and pointed in the direction of the building mentioned earlier.

"My guess is, it's that room there, next to the bells,"

A grin crept across his face.

"Let's go bust heads!"

"So this is the place," Keiji commented as he just arrived at the place were all the goons arrived at, soon following them to the top floor.

Well, can't be nice all the time.

He kicked down the Shōji door, "Hiya fellas."

"Come on boys!" Nobuo said, rushing past the other two, "Let's beat them like souljas!"

A grin plastered on his face, he bolted through the room, slicing down man after man.

fft fft fft

Nobuo ducked under a table as arrows struck the wall behind him.

"They've got long range too! Get crackin!"

A lot of noise came from above... footsteps stomping.

"Hear that? Sounds like panic!"

"Bahahahaha this is more like it"

*Kenpachi stands up and gets riddeld with arrows*
"huh.....now im mad"
*eyes glow golden drawing sword*

"it would seem that i have finally found a fight, and im going to enjoy every frigging second of it"

*rushes them hacking off the arm of a bat wielding man while blocking a thrust of a spear, then kicks a man in the chest sending him flying into 3 other men, one of which is impailed on his own wepon, then with one stroke takes off 3 heads while laughing like a madman, with the next swing he cuts a man clean in half* <half a minute later> *stabes a man through the neck getting blood all over himself* "was that it, is that all of them damn it?"

"i want to kill MORE!! he yells while removing the arrows from his tourso"
"oh sorry did you guys want in?"

Fight smarter, not harder...

Nobuo jumped up onto the table after the arrows stopped flying. He was muttering something to himself.

"Shakkahō!" he yelled out, letting a blast of fire loose from his hand, obliterating the ceiling above him, and setting the entire building ablaze.

"Hot enough for ya, guys?" he asked the comrades in arms. The "Boss" an older, fat man fell onto the table in front of Nobuo.

"You're him? Pathetic" Nobuo reached down and grabbed him.

"Yo! Let's clear these guys out, and head back with the prize!"

Ah 11th Division, they were a little...really rough around the edges but like he told himself earlier, they got the job done. Though setting the roof on fire was a bit much...

"Hai, hai," Keiji said as he begun to knock out a few guys with his sheath. No need for the needless violence all the time.

*SWINGS HIS SWORD DECAPATATING THE FINAL GUARD*

"HEY IS THAT THE BOSS YOUR HOLDING?"


"THEN LETS GO THE PLACE IS BURNING TO THE GROUND"

*jumps out oof the building window and falls 3 stories*

Nobuo carried the fat man out of the burning building, and then turned to the others.

"I'll take him in. Good job you two." he said with a smirk

"Just doing my job," he stated as he too left the burning building. He headed back to the dango stand one more time, it was nice to have a treat like this every once in a while.

Wonder how the "kid" is doing.

With that, he left, dango in hand. Man I need a change of clothes.

"hey where are you going!!! was that it?

"i only got to kill 53 people!!!"

"there must be some strong people where your going. Im in the mood to fight more. Bring me with you"

Nobuo laughed a bit.

"If you want to fight real monsters, you'll have to join the Shinigami. Which means you'll start on bottom, and have to work your way up. Unless you get strong enough to challenge a captain, of course. But It's been awhile since that happened."

With that, Nobuo left.

so this is on my first official missions as a shinigami after graduating he academy huh...pft. i guess i didn't have to do this, but it was recommened for us beginners...as if.

i'm no beginer. nakamura-sensei us taught basics; like how to fight, sense reiatstu and use my reiastu effectively way back when...i shouldn't need thses kidy missions...

well wateva...as long as i can get stronger and to put things right, then thats allthat should matter.

hmm...seems like theres been quite alot happening here (thats the understatement of the century). hey, i may actually get to fight sum1 strong...yeah, so i guess it begins now...

History
- fostered by a mysterious hermit known by him only as Nakamura-sensei.
- fostered with 2 other boys, considered practically his brothers.
- The hermit had great powers and taught Kai and his brothers how to develop and use their own powers.
- After a freak hollow attack he found that he had died and was then sent to soul society by a Shinigami who stopped the hollow attack.
- After witnessing the Shinigami in action, he vowed to become a powerful Shinigami and prtoect thoe close to him.
- Due to his strong power, he easily unlocked his own Shinigami powers.
