rofl Not a bad accidnet babbo hopes? Babbo got bumped by a Grand Cherokee once while he was biking. The guy ran through a stop sign and hit babbo in the middle of the cross walk, and while babbo's getting of the ground and wiping off the blood and dirt the douche told babbo to watch where he was going. Similiar situation?

The story goes as such;

I was biking towards a friends place to relax before going to a concert around 7:00. Because it's heavy street traffic, I mostly stick to sidewalks and sidle along at a relaxed pace. I hate exertion after all. I come up to a crosswalk, a van comes up to a crosswalk. I stop, he stops. I look, I (assumed) he did the same. A safe number of seconds pass (5, 7? Enough time to register the world around you while standing still).

I go, he goes. But wait, it gets better. Someone speeding (on a bike. And I mean like impressive speeding especially just after going up a hill) appears out of nowhere on his other side. Cautious to not hit the young woman, he swerves...all of 2 feet into me. Thud, whack, warp (the metal was a silent sufferer, as was I aside from the fall noise). The impact is sudden enough to pop my oft loose shoulder from it's socket before ground impact.

The two keep going, she (the biker) never even slows down. After all, it IS a heavy traffic time on a busy street. The van driver eventually pops a curb in his van to help me up and freaks out over the shoulder. After attempting to placate him and tell him to hold my arm so I can fix it, things are worked out and he agrees to fund the repairs of my bike. (I'm not as bad as I think I am, I guess.) and so the story ends...

Btw off topic but did you see Ugins sketches? Kinda usless as they are but babbo likes her style, kind reminds babbo as a mix of kubo and Yellow Tanabe ;D

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC (but hell so is half the forum) Yeah they are great XD Are they doing some concept work, anything confirmed? I told the artists that all we need is a front and side shot of a character that is confirmed and we will make it....Beth says ask Aquarius and Aquarius says ask Beth so I just dunno what to do @@ We can't really make those kidou effects without a character to attach them to...is there at least one confirmed char sketch by now? No one has contacted me so i presume not and I have lurked the site quite often. Should I just talk to this Ugins person? I feel really out of the loop with all that stuff....

Beth is unreachable at the moment so babbo's having Aqua and ugin work on shinigami designs (beth said she was doing freischutz anyways so babbo's gonna leave them be for the moment) since they should be the most straight foward. Babbo told them to try to get some player character sketches (as well as different eyes, mouths, ears, noses, tattos,scars, hairstyles, birthmarks, clothing, accessories etc. etc.) out as quickly as possible. Mostly been doing it on gmail, but babbo told them to keep in touch with you. Gonna have to bring that up with them again babbo guesses.

And Aqua acts quite clueless whenever I ask so maybe if you chase up some sketches for me (i think you are more in her time zone) I'll get pat and shiro on it since they are really keen for modelling. I was gonna stick mostly to the animating/rigging. Shiro is going to texture though...did you see his work...he is amazing :wtf

Aggy, unless you're some psycho murder (i.e. someone really evil at heart), you don't deserve to be hit by a van. I've had lots of close calls in my car, never a crash though. I do hope it never happens. Sometimes though your luck just runs out and you can't avoid these things, no matter who you are.

Is there anything you want babbo to tell them? Gonna ask for them to have a good discussion at length on what they're planning what not, but if there's anything babbo can shoot out in an email now babbo needs to know *is going for lunch soon*

We just need a definite (as in something that will actually be used) character design. If the best they can do is just a front facing pic in proportion that would be great but it's even better if we get a matching in proportion side on pic. We can mage with front on if they can't do that though. We sort of use it as a template on an image plane while we model that's all. It's a lot harder to just make it up as you go along, the proportions go out easy. That's all we need really. I'll try find a pic of an example real fast and pm u ok.

we only ever model half a character and then just double it over and stitch it up so that's why it doesn't matter if half isn't so detailed like in this pic. Obv we don't need it so details, but the more the better.

Anyways ... to Ag's topic :

I tend to overthink things most of the time, and a firm believer of everything happens for a reason. Perhaps, if the van didn't hit you, it might have hit someone else more seriously? Or that maybe there is something wrong with your bike to begin with ( which you didn't know about, and might cause a more serious accident on you eventually ), and this damage will get you to repair it before it gets to that stage? Could also be that with the injuries you sustained now could lead to other things in the future ...

I don't believe in karma. Just that stupid people do stupid things and say stupid things. Like the van driver crashing you and blaming you. He's just an idiot, things like these only happen because of careless people.

Natural occurance is what i put it down to. People get hit by vans all the time just nature. Can't help it really. I don't really think i believe in Karama but i would say thats its probably not bad Karma if it is.

Karma's for past sins. If it were for future crimes, then that'd suck ass. And besides, that would imply that there was predestined future for all of us, which I don't think Hindus believe in. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

A corellation to the story. Mayhaps even an epilogue. Yesterday at 11:45 am I recieved my bike. 4:45 the man who hit me was kind enough to pay for the damages. 6:45 I flipped over the bike at a fence warping the same front wheel was damaged. It's like a bad joke.
