I am really excited about the spoilers for Chapter 310. Orihime shows some new powers and I can't wait for Kubo to explain whether they came from training with Rukia, her resolve to protect, being in Hueco Mundo or a combination of two or three of those reasons.

I'm excited to see her new and improved powers. This is really the first time she's been able to do something. She couldn't really interfear with the Ichigo vs. Grimmjow fight because of its intensitity, and most of the Nnoitra fight she had his hands in her mouth :(
It more sound like improvements from her old powers but that is still exciting.

So Orihime's power has improved so that her barriers can repel objects from escaping and can remain even with out her full concentration on them, this is certainly interesting. The thing I'm wondering is if that was the healing barrier also, because if this barrier can repel multiple objects (damage and objects from escaping) then that is interesting. Even if it can't, it shows Orihime increasing awarness of her powers and how to use them.

i just reread the chapter, and relized how confused i was when i last posted

the shield that stops Ichigo from moving was in fact the healing shield:eek: not the barrier shield like i had originally thought

so now that shield is similar to the barrier shield in that in rejects all things trying to pass through it from the inside, and it reverses time

i wonder if her other shields all have a secondary ability too:D

I think Orihime's compassion for the two arrancar girls really terrified them because they could not comprehend it. Rain, I don't think you're delusional in saying it takes strength not to hit back in anger. In my personal experience it's a challenge to turn the other cheek; that's probably why some fans don't understand why Orihime just stood there since the normal response is to retaliate.

As delusional as this statement is it made me think :D
I was wondering if Orihime has improved her offensive abilities. We have all ready scene in the past few chapters that Orihime other abilities have improved greatly. Her healing abilities have improved as she was able to rapidly healing Lolly and Molly in what seemed like a matter of minutes with their extensive damage. In the more recent chapters her healing barrier is able to also repel objects away keeping anything trapped inside. Orihime also showed that she could keep a barrier up while focusing on other things and use two techniques at once, keeping Ichigo inside the healing barrier while also putting the protection barrier in front of Yachuri. So it wouldn't surprise me if she had improved offensive abilities, I also hate to think that all of her training with Rukia didn't produce improvements in her fighting abilities.

I agree Rain I don't think she'll be killing any body of strength any time soon but I think she could be of value in an fight besides just healing. Even her healing barrier can potentially be used to trap opponents since it can reject objects inside from moving out, it depends on how fast she can set up a barrier and how strong it is.

I agree Rain she seems more confident. Its nice to see her take an active role by protecting people instead of hiding behind others like in most of her previous fights. We're seeing a more hardened Orihime also. In the past she was quick to fight but wouldn't last long especially when the fight went bad like against Yammy and the fights in SS, but here she is still standing and fighting even after the Ichigo & Grimmjow fight, being taken capture by Nnotira and, seeing Ichigo trashed.

What i really like is that although orihime seems more confident, she hasn't become she jaded warrior or anything.

Orihime looked great in the anime on one shot. (I personally dislike the anime with a passion so I hate all shots. Its very rare for me to love the anime as a whole.)

She looked gorgeous.

Well you know what I think of that. The scene in the anime was tone down because in the manga it was pretty brutal the way they beat Hime up.

I am waiting for Ulquiorra's returned, as he is Orihime's keeper and Ichigo wasn't able to defeat him, it makes me wonder if he will decided what will happened to Orihime. Will she be recaptured and stay on Hueco Mundo... or by some miracle will she be rescue?

I would love to see her safe and sound but... wouldn't it sort of defeat the porpuse of her being captured if we never know what exactly Aizen's plans where with her?

Orihime has become key to the plot of Bleach in recent chapters and this Arc. Many things revolved around her so I am curious to see her fate as this Arc seems to be coming to a close.

Um...I think Inoue will be recaptured, and forced to do whatever Aizen wants her to do. After she does it, he might have no use for her so he would probably try to kill her.

Ichigo will save her again before that happens.

I think Orihime will be recaptured, a sense of this rescue attempt failing has been around since it began.

I think it will be better for Orihime developing her powers if she stays in HM. Aizen appears to have serious plans for her, and I think will pusher to develop all her powers more than anyone in the real world or SS will. Urahara hasn't expressed any real interest in developing Orihime's powers and wants more to keep her back so she won't bother anybody. She has trained with Rukia, but I think Aizen will be better to bring out her full power. Aizen appears to have real interest in her powers and wants to use them for his own gain. Who better to train the person with potentially the greatest power other than the person who wants all the power.

I think she will continue to be central to the plot. Orihime has potentially the greatest power in Bleach with her ability to reject reality. I think the development of her powers and how she uses them will have some of the largest influence on where the story goes.

I too think she'll be recaptured, but not recaptured in the normal sense.

It will be a tactical decision to leave her there, and let Aizen think they escaped leaving her behind. Then later they re-charge into HM and that may be the culmination of this arc.

But i can't see Orihime getting recaptured, and Ichigo and co still being alive:D

Orihime's main drive is being able to prove herself and help her friends. That's what has her most depressed, so it does seem very likely that if she doesn't do something soon, she'll stay in HM. Her self-worth isn't going to be improving if he gets dragged back, knowing the kind of sacrifices her friends made while still feeling that she has yet to contribute.

I dont think anything consequences served to grant her any favour; since being recaptured will crush her wills seeing that her friends are getting beaten by her captors; and that she escaping will fail herself. Either way she's damned - she escaped, she failed herself, and if she stayed, she failed her friends. I'm kinda adamant into thinking that she may not be rescued, but even if she is, that's not a bad thing in general. Kubo had been trying to have her fight her archetype in the latest chapters, ie being more of an offensive type rather than healing type, and doing something we could consider outta character (can anyone see her binding somebody/imprisoning at all?), so for her, the best is yet to come!

my crazy theory. They all know right now that they can't get out of HM with orihime. So what if they make a plan for orihime to get "recaptured" and then she can try to maybe get more information on the hyogyoku or soemthing, and Ichigo and co leave and prepare to storm HM with more than 4 captains

if she gets recaptured on purpose, then that means she isn't being abandoned, she is being included in a plan and trusted. and she also wouldn't be putting her friends in danger (which she kind of feels like shes doing)

that would be a big boost to her self-confidence

Well Ichigo is pretty much straight on when it comes to matters like this - i mean he's hellbent on the black and whites in fighting, and sure as hell there wouldnt be a chance they are leaving her there though. However, i still do not discount the fact that she her fates will go both ways...whichever still spelled her development, so i dont mind...

Ichigo and company failed in their primary objective to save Orihime.

You know for save the girl arcs...Ichigo fails a lot. He watched as Aizen cut him down andput his hand through Rukia's chest and now Orihime disappears before his eyes. Man! KT needs to stop writing rescue arcs for Ichigo. But this is definitely interesting for Orihime's pro active development. Lately, I haven't liked Ichigo, Grimmjow, and now Kenpachi telling her who to heal because they get themselves battered up like idiots. :hm Aizen is so gentle...last time he was that comforting with a woman he put a sword through her.

Well, i really loved for some possitivity you know, fail is not a nice word. Especially when it is used in so many ocassions for the very wrong reasons. Let's just say that it's an unfortunate obstacle which mar the success. I dunno, it's clear that this arc isnt over yet, as the last pages suggest, Ichigo and co is still in HM, why decide so early that 'ZOMG, poor Orihime!!!"

I think this is a proactive manner in which her character could be developed, i mean she's made as a heroine already!!! What else could we want? It's unfortunate for her, but hey, nothing says better storyline than would some catharsis effect around.

I'm really excited about these up coming chapters. As bad as this situation is for Orihime and I feel really bad for her, being taken away after being so close to escaping, I'm really excited for her also. What ever happens now it appears that she will have to act on her own with none of her friends around. This is something she hasn't done before and I really want to see what she dose. I don't know what will happen, I do think that Aizen is trying to manipulate her though. What ever Aizen's plans for her are I think she will persevere. I think she realizes that she's in the best position to stop Aizen.

My guess is that next chapter Orihime might think of going to destroy the Hou Gyoko. I don't want to be a pessimist but I don't think Orihime can own Aizen anytime soon. He is always two steps ahead of her and everybody else.

Is going to be a long a battle to stop Aizen. A very long one.

While I still think that Orihime will play and important part, as after all she inspire a whole Arc, I don't think that her reverting the Hou Gyoko is the only thing that will stop Aizen. He is cunning and I wouldn't be surprised if he is using her for his own ends.

Time to see Orihime fighting action!

I would really like to see her fight also Rain. I have a feeling she will play an active role in the fight at some point. She has been wanting to prove her self all this time and I think this will be the first battle she'll actually have a chance to fight in. I think Aizen announcing the everybody that she is worthless, will give her some extra motivation, and after not being able to do anything in the last two fights, I personally think she will help defeat Ulquiorra. She showed greater control a variety of her powers briefly in the Nnoitra battle, so I think she has more she can do. Also Ichigo can't defeat Ulquiorra by himself, and he was the only one heading to the tower, so he's going to need some help to win the battle and Orihime is the only one who can off support. Well that's the way I see it :D

I don't have any particular favourites in crack Hime-pairings... There's one, but I wouldn't call it crack. Some other people might, though :p

I don't want to start a war or anything, but... :cry A few of you are GrimmHime fans, yet you do not mention GrimmHime as a crack pairing. Um, it is crack :oops Just because they've seen each other and talked with each other doesn't make it less crack XDD There are female and male characters who've interacted with each other, but they couldn't by any means be called canon. So, umh, imo, you GrimmHime fans "should" have listed it as your favourite crack pairing :huhuh
I put it in spoilers, just in case...

I don't mean this as any offence to anyone. :( But umm, I think it isn't canon at all. Either way, let's not start talking about this pairing here. There's a FC for that. :D

And~~ even if GrimmHime is crack, but i'm semi-believing into UlquHime. To think that it's crack will hold as much waters as IshiHime, which is something not entirely favourable, IMO. Let's just have fun with the listings, and nobody forgets GrimmHime, k? What i mentioned, and most probably everybody else, are those which are like "ZOMG WTF is this" type of suggestion, which is why we had HachiHime and all.

Orihime x Shinji is not bad pairing since we know Shinji likes her although he does flirt with the pretty girls.

If we're talking about Orihime crack pairings, I think Yamamoto x Orihime would be one. I think Orihime is attractive so she is shipped with many characters even if she barely interacts with them, like Shuuhei. She would look hot with Shuuhei but they hardly know each other.
