Aw, man. So the U.S. won't get it until later 2008 :( I hope the ending is a FMV like the opening.

Well FF3 DS got a beautiful opening and ending so I'm sure they will do the same with this one.

I don't recall FF3 having a FMV ending.

For those who haven't finished the game yet:
They just showed a village w/ something(probably the crystal) sparkling.

Oh uh lol no idea what I was thinking about then. >_> Anyways they might do an FMV for the ending as well.

The carts increase in size each year. There is a decent chance that they can cram an fmv for the ending in FFIV DS.

What differences are there going to be that wasnt in the original?

3D graphics obviously, and the following:

According to executive producer Takashi Tokita, the scenario writer and lead game designer of the original release, 3/4 of the original script had been left out from Super Famicom original release, but this lost material will be reworked into the remake, while some new events will also be added.

The player will have the possibility to use the Nintendo DS stylus to move around similarly to the Final Fantasy III remake, while some minigames will require this usage of the stylus. Additionally, the developers are currently working on a feature which should add replayability to the game, although it will not necessarily be a New Game Plus feature.

Images in Weekly Jump magazine appear to show a new Ability system similar to Final Fantasy V, including a tandem magic attack by Rydia and Rosa.

It was also revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2007 that the game will feature voices for important scenes. In June 2007, Square Enix held a casting for a vocalist to sing a version of Final Fantasy IV's "Theme of Love" rearranged by Nobuo Uematsu.

I thought some of the plot elements were cheesy, hope that gets better.

And they better decrease the difficulty D:<

Meh it's an old game, they tend to have cheesy elements. XD

The difficulty wasn't that bad in IV, I never really had any problems until I met the four fiends or whatever. XD
