Karakura arc

Ichigo vs Grand Fisher - This just had lots of pride and meaning riding on it so I thought it meant a lot. Mostly because of the emotional significance rather than the fight itself.

SS arc

Ichigo vs Ikkaku - Just really fun and jumpy, trash talking. Anything with Ikkaku is fun XD

Ichigo vs Renji in soul society - Bwahaha Renji gets destroyed. Ichigo gets his revenge, good ol' testosterone fuelled meathead fight:p.

Ishida vs Mayuri - A clever fight between two of the most intelligent people in Bleach. Similar to the Ichigo vs GF fight since Mayuri butchered Ishida's people and the revenge and pride thing.

"Quincy no hokori ni kakete!"

Renji vs Byakuya - Renji gets destroyed again but I liked how he was fighting to save Rukia though. Fighting between the number 1 and number 2 on the same team is really cool:p well not cool but intriguing. Where your personal interests take precedence over what you're ordered to do by a superior.

Kenpachi vs Tousen and Komamura - Just freakish, shows how insane Kenpachi really is. Taking on 2 bankai's well :( just one and just about to take on another before Komamura fled. Kubo made the Kenpachi vs Tousen's bankai fight a bit forced and drawn out. Tousen really could've just cut off Kenpachi's head and be done with it than talk to himself.

Yamamoto vs Ukitake and Shunsui - GAH! If only we could've seen what they can do! The 3 most powerful shinigami in SS I'd say. I would have loved it if only they showed what happened!

Ichigo vs Byakuya - BIG BIG BIG!! This is my absolute favourite fight of them all! The most technical and most dramatic fight with all the pride riding on it. The anime butchered this fight, not happy at all, like when Ichigo went bankai for the first time they played all this happy music. I thought it was a serious and dramatic moment not some light hearted child's play.

Aizen vs Renji and Ichigo - Just goes to shown the supervillain is a supervillain for a reason:p insanely powerful. Defeated Hitsugaya, Komamura, Renji and Ichigo. Renji and Ichigo were 99% dead anyway but still to beat 2 captains, barely lifting a finger, thats something.

A fight is called a fight because it is a battle, not a parlament session. I hate it when combatants in shounen manga just stop and go blabbering around. Grimmjow vs. Ulquiorra was brief but opponents used their brains and reflexes more then just power..

Those fights had a lot of meaning, and the combatants who fought each other had a lot of history which indicated that they "had" to fight at some point. Some examples include the Renji vs. Byakuya fight or Uryuu vs. Mayuri.

all of the major SS fights had huge displays of power. HM arc just has a lot ceros and fast paced h2h combat since that's how arrancars prefer to fight, for the most part. The only thing that's dbz-ish is the cero, but people are just overreacting >_>

Soul Society battles were the best, imo. It's still soon enough in the series so that Ichigo's improvement is marked and significant...yeah, totally. WAY cooler than pre-Soul Society or HM, probably.

#3, Hiyori vs Ichigo (loved the panels from Ichigo's POV & overall fight flow)

HM arch has good fights too, but I haven't savored any of them panel by panel the way I did the aforementioned fights.

So yeah, wow.. In retrospect, I guess I find the arrancar arch to have the best fights!

Despite my Szayel fandom, I really think his fight was too long and interrupted to be considered GREAT, it's just nice

I like some fights from the Karakura arc for their hilarious moments:

- Chad and Rukia vs. random hollow ---> Chad punching things he can't see and Rukia's launched like a missile! WTF? :D

- Orihime vs. random hollow ---> Man, she was so beautiful with her primal angry teen girl thing. I don't she was ever shown as empowered as she was during her first fight :(

- Ichigo and Don Kanonji vs. random hollow ---> the one and only time Ichigo's zapankutou is stuck to the ceiling. I loved that moment. He was SO INEPT! "I'll just kick you to death!" Yeah, right. It took Don Kanonji's wee little canon ball to free him... :D HAHAHAHA.

- Ichigo vs. 20% Renji and Byakuya

I like the rest for their blood and gore!

The best fights were in the SS arc. Who could forget Ichigo vs. Byakuya fight? That is an all-time favorite. Furthermore, the fights in SS arc showed Ichigo's growth as a fighter and as a shinigami.

Though I would credit the HM arc for a wonderful Rukia vs Kaien/Aaroniro fight and Byakuya vs. Zommari. The fight of Szayel vs. Mayuri was creepy yet amazing.

Favorites fights, I'll go with one each from each arc

Karakura arc- Ichigo vs. Grand Fisher, so much emotion, and this was the first fight in Bleach where you really began to see the relationship that would evolve between Ichigo and Rukia, great fight.

Soul Society Arc- Ichigo vs. Byakuya, very hard to pick in this arc, lots of good fights, Zaraki fights, Ishida's was very good, even Ichigo-Ikkaku was very good, but this one wins due to the emotion and end like quality that it had, everything had built up to this one and it delivered.

Arrancar Arc- Ikkaku vs Eldorado, this arc is interesting in that I felt that not a single fight really overshadowed the rest in the arc, Ichigo's hollow stuff was cool, but I felt the most umph out this fight, Ikkaku is simply a badass, and that really does help in a arc that provides a segway to the next arc, so this one wins the award for simply having a cool new Bankai and a lot GAR to it.

Hueco Mundo arc- Rukia vs Aaroniro, for me this one is not that hard. I have been bored by most of this arc, partly because Orihime's rescue has seemed stupid for me, and also because I felt like a lot of the fights have been bland without much to offer except giant power blasts. Rukia's fight wins for being her first major major fight, and for the emotion again that is involved in it. Rukia really shines in this fight since it reveals light on her past, her inner demons, and her skills, though she won somewhat cheaply, this fight still wins due it partly being Rukia, and also for having some strategy in the fight.

Loved the Ichigo vs Grand Fisher one, I still consider it one of the best fights even without the flashes and bangs of the later fights. Pity they never got a rematch.

Rukia vs D. Roy. It was so cool to finally see Rukia's zanpaktou, and she just raped the fool out of the sky.

Byakuya vs Zommari is my favourite by far. It would have been nice to see more of Zommari, but I can't complain, Byakuya radiates pure awesomeness in that fight.

Ichigo vs. Grand Fisher. Simply for the fact of all the emotion put behind the fight. It started the whole "Memories in the Rain" and started to develop Ichigo's character into being the protector. He loves his family and his friends. A good base to start off.

Soul Society arc

I liked the whole arc, but these 3 fights stood out.

Uryuu vs. Mayuri. Not only was the battle epic, but it had a lot behind it. It was in this fight that I truly respected Uryuu's character. He proved to be quite the fighter and protected his honor. Plus his God mode was just freaking awesome.

Ichigo vs. Byakuya. The development of Ichigo's character. Over the course of the manga we are able to see just how much he has improved not only as a Shinigami, but as person. His resolve is strong and he is able to show to Byakuya just how strong he has become. It was simply great.

Hitsugaya vs. Aizen

Isshin vs. Grand fisher. Honestly one of the biggest shocks in the manga. Isshin a Shinigami? And Captain class as well? God damn, he just got 100x as freaking cool as he already is.

Ichigo vs. Shirosaki. The whole Killer Instinct speech instantly made me a fanboy. Shirosaki is just so freaking awesome. He needs to come back during this current arc so I can awaken my fanboy after 97 chapters.

Hueco Mundo arc

Ichigo vs. Grimmjow. My favorite fight easily. The fact that Ichigo improves hold on his hollow mask, as well as the development we got from Grimmjow plus his release was great. Two great rivals finally finishing it and it was simply great.

Karakura/Substitute Arc:
-1.)Ichigo vs. Grand Fisher: This is where I think Bleach first acquires depth as a story. The fight is so fraught with Ichigo's emotions and Rukia's, as she struggles not to intervene in a fight yet again, despite what happened to Kaien.
-2.)Chad + Rukia vs. Shrieker: The fact that Chad can kick this guy's butt without even being able to see him, is sheer fried gold. Also, he picks up a freaking telephone pole!!!

Soul Society Arc:
-1.)Kenpachi vs. Komamura and Tosen: You were expecting Ichigo vs. Byakuya weren't you? Surprise! But really, I like this fight so much because it really shows off how good a fighter Kenpachi is. In his fight with Ichigo, we see his power, yeah, but here we see how good he is at finding his opponent's weakness. The dude destroys Tosen's bankai and goes toe to toe with Komamura all without taking off his eyepatch! Warning: A blind and deaf Kenpachi can still kill you.
-2.)Byakuya vs. Ichigo: Yes, yes, here it is. It's a good fight, but a tad overrated I think. You know why it's good, I don't have to explain.

Arrancar Arc:
-1.)Hirako Shinji vs. Grimmjow Jeagerjaques: Um...what's not to love about this fight? The music rocks (jazzy piano + crazy cool mexican guitar and eerie echo-like sound=amazing!), not to mention Hirako dishes out some uber pwnage (he overwhelms Grimmjow with JUST a cero, when Ichigo couldn't do crap with his bankai!!)
-2.)Madarame Ikkaku vs. Edorad Leones: Ikkaku is batshit crazy. He's probably only a little more sane than Kenpachi. But he's got such a great balance, and to see him fight all out, loving every minute of it was just great. Plus, that bit with him asking to stay at Keigo's house had me rolling on the ground! On a side note: Edorad Leones is an extremely cool name.
-Honorable Mention: Urahara vs. Yammy, either time. The dude TOYS with Yammy and pulls off some sweet dramatic entrances. Go geta-boshi! This is one of my favorite pages ever: http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/193/18/ (The music notes are what do it for me)

Hueco Mundo Arc:
-1.)Grimmjow vs. Ichigo Round 3: I think it's fair to say that this is definitely THE most fast paced, brutal fight in Bleach. Grimmjow has so much to prove, as does Ichigo. Even though the whole Orihime believing in Ichigo thing was a bit cliched, the sheer scope of it and power displayed by the two combatants definitely makes this my favorite fight overall.
-2.)Nnoitra vs. Kenpachi: Nnoitra was probably one of the more fascinating hollow characters. His past with Nel was very compelling and I loved his flashbacks. Only Kenpachi could've given him the death he wanted: standing on his feet, in battle. The only bad thing, is the whole kendo thing. It shouldn't have been that simple.
-Honorable mentions:
-Ichigo vs. Dordonii. Dordonii reminds me of Ichigo's father a little bit. Also, I loved that he finished it so quickly in the end.
-Chad vs. Gantenbaine: Chad is such a bad@$$ here, finally! He deserves to be cool!

Turn Back the Pendulum:
-Okay, it's not really a fight, but when Urahara goes all stealth mode on Aizen and clips him, that definitely warrants a mention. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that that's probably the closest Aizen's ever come to getting injured.

The Future:
-Chad vs. Yammy: It's gonna happen. Mark my words!

Chad & Rukia vs that serial killer Hollow. Chad punching nothing was just plain hilarious. And this fight made me love Rukia more. She was powerless yet she went head on to the point of letting Chad launch her through the air to attack the Hollow however unsuccessfully. ehehehe :D I guess it was because of her Kuchiki/Shinigami pride. :)

Ichigo and Grand Fisher - the mnga version. very angsty.
Ichigo vs. Renji Renji was soo full of it in the beginning only to be saved by Byakuya in the end. Lovely.

Ichigo vs. Byakuya - including the short fight on the bridge..."I can see you Kuchiki Byakuya" I find Byakuya amusing. how he thinks he is superior than any other Shinigami and how he was totally caught offguard when he saw Ogihci out and Ichigo pawning Ogihci. How Ichigo defeated Byakuya's Shikai and how he lauched to Byakuya's neck. and loads of other things.......

Ichigo vs. Kenpahi - It was soo funny to see Ichigo sh!tscared then defeat Kenpachi in the end. Zangetsu and Ogihci made an appearance here. How Ichigo cut Kenpachi's nose. Kenpachi's power-up and that ewwww looking reiatsu-eater-whatever.

Ichigo vs. Renji Seeing Ichigo's resolve and the reason why Renji wanted to defeat Ichigo so badly.

Ishida vs. Mayuri It was interesting to see two nerds fighting.

Yourichi vs Soi Fon Hand-to-hand combat...awesome. But soi fon's crying in the end killed it.

Tousen vs Kenpachi I thought Kenpachi was all brawn until i saw this fight. Awwwww..kenpachi is also using his brain. I agree with Memnarch, that a blind and deaf Kenpachi (who didn't even take his eyepatch off) can still kill you. He doesn't have Bankai yet he is still powerful.

Arrancar Arc
Grimmjow vs Ichigo Grimmjow's "Ali-moment" was soo cool. The animation of this scene in the anime was the best i've seen so far.

Hirako vs. Grimmjow how Hirako saved the day and when he said "Nandeyanen" was hilarious.

Ikakku vs that big-Arrancar it was hilarious when all bloodied Ikkaku approaced Keigo to tell him that after he saved him Keigo should let them stay in his house..hahahaha! :rotflmao The animation for this was also very good.

Yammy vs Urahara too bad it wasn't finished...but the fight showed the tip of Urahara's strength.

Hueco Mundo
Rukia vs. Aaronerio (did i spell it right?) How the espada mentally tortured me Rukia, how i Rukia was impaled, my her Third Dance and my her resolve to save Inoue was just *hands-down*

Nel vs. Nnoitora when Nel turned back to a kid at the end killed it though.

Byakuya vs the octupus arrancar *hands-down* to Byakuya. I liked it when he used Yourichi's technique to pawn octupus guy.

Not a very exciting arc, but I'll go with not awakened Chad + Rukia vs. a hollow (was it ever given a name?). Just for the lulz factor, really.

Soul Society Arc:
Tousen vs. Kenpachi - You'd think I had a blind kink, wouldn't you? XD

Arrancar Arc:
Grimmjow vs. Ichigo #1

Hueco Mundo Arc:
Szayel Aporro vs. pretty much half of the opposing force in Hueco Mundo - I mean, I don't think any other fight is going to top this one. He eats his creations, takes a short break to change his clothes, made people into voodoo dolls, randomly impregnated a woman, and continued fighting with his clone! Really, I think Bleach jumped the shark there. XD

Her defending of Tatsuki was quite admirable...And having just watched Chad fight, you knew she was going to gain a power, so it was exciting to wait and see exactly what she would get. Poor Tatsuki :(


Soul Society:
Ichigo VS Kenpachi
This is no question for me. Probably my favourite fight in the whole thing, it just overflowed with coolness, and I love how Ichigo got beaten, yet still won a couple of chapters later after going to his inner world for a bit. Was not expecting that. Best comeback ever.

Renji VS Byakuya
This deserves a mention to. Just when you think Byakuya has a bit of a struggle on his hands, he wins without breaking a sweat. That explosion of blood is still so so cool. And yet Renji still stood up and carried on fighting, earning Byakuya's respect...I'm just a sucker for comebacks.

Arguable the most gorgeously animated fight in the Anime ever besides maybe Ichi v Grimm Round 3. Bankai!? Yay unexpected. And what a Bankai it is :'D

I'll explain some of the fights that don't seem to be too common:

Karakura Arc:

Ichigo vs. Renji - This was the first time we truly saw two Shinigami duel, and we were introduced to the idea of Zanpakutou release. The fact that a Zanpakutou could release to a stronger form was simply awe-inspiring. The brutality of Renji, the shock of Shinigami abilities, and the triumph of Ichigo was enough to put this fight as my favorite from this arc.

Soul Society Arc:

Ichigo vs. Ikkaku
Ichigo vs. Renji
Renji vs. Byakuya
Gin vs. Hitsugaya - The fact that we saw two Captains fight was very surprising, though the events prior to this fight led up to that. The sheer magnitude of what was going on drew me into the fight. Gin and Hitsugaya were both very diverse, and it was interesting to see how calm Gin was when fighting Hitsugaya, and to see some sneaks of what his abilities were.
Yoruichi vs. Soi Fong - This fight was interesting mainly because it was mainly speed based, as well as based on hand to hand. We got to see a lot of great tactics, moves, and positions in this fight.
