Well, we didn't have a thread on this here, so..
Well does anyone like the old stuff? Like the older bands? Their weird fashion? Drug inducing hippies?
We'll talk about them here!

So which of the old bands do you like?
I personally like Queen, and The Beatles best, of course there are other bands out there like Nirvana and Guns and Roses, or those with the softer approach like Pink Floyd.

DUUDDEEE

Pink Floyd is GORGEOUS. Queen is t3h smex. Pearl Jam because they're awesome and I'm from Seattle. Some Rage Against the Machine is excellent. Jimi Hendrix is a god: also from Seattle. Smashing Pumpkins have some excellent old stuffs. Steely Dan is excellent.

Also just getting into Guitar Hero too...XD

OMG, i forgot Jimi Hendrix! and yes, he is a guitar god, i have to admit that. too bad he's dead already. infact, it seems like the most amazing musicians of the day are all dead, its sad, they could have been entertaining more people if they were alive today.

Or, they would've been embroiled in random legal lawsuits and stuff.

XD

I mean, the lead guitarist for Queen is still alive...he just got a frickin Ph.D in astrophysics too...jeeez. :p

David May is great, but he still doesn't hold a candle to Eric Clapton, the true guitar god.

Eric Clapton ... ever notice he does his best work whenever there is a tragedy in his life!? 'Tears in Heaven' is one of my fav' songs :(

Not entirely sure how you classify 'classic rock', like how far are we going back here!? There are mention of The Beatles, so I'm guessing Elvis can be included too? Not a huge fan of The Beatles, but Elvis .... :inlove .... he ain't the king of rock n roll for nothing :p

Erm ... Aerosmith, Genesis, Eagles, Queen. I used to love playing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on keyboard XD
Oh ... Meat Loaf's 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' used to be my top fav' song :nuts

There is only one Jimmy Hendrix song I like, forgot the name, but we used to play it in band ... will go home and check the album >.<

Other not so 'rock' classics : Michael Jackson, Elton John, Bee Gees, Beach Boys, U2? U2 is still around, but they go waaaay back :p

LOL

Michael Jackson isn't called the King of Pop for no reason. XD Yeah, he's not classic rock. U2 is I guess.

Eric Clapton is a god. Holy crap. I could listen to Tears in Heaven all day. I'd then feel like committing suicide, but it's still an awesome song. XD

Ooh, classic rock! Love listening to the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hendrix, Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who etc. Yeah they're not my generation, but it's the guitar man.
