Bleach OP7 and ED13

Hey guys, for those who reads Japanese and have checked out this week's Japanese Weekly Jump 41 mag, the 7th OP theme for Bleach will be "After Dark" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and the 13th ED theme will be "Tane wo Maku Hibi (種をまく日々)" by Atari Kousuke.

Both themes have been put up on ANN and start on ep. 143 onwards. Asian Kung-Fu Generation has done themes for FMA and Naruto before, while Atari Kousuke doesn't seem to have performed any themes for anime before, his music style is traditional Japanese "shima-uta" (island-song) style.

Don't be too surprised if it's simialar to Tonight X3, in the sense of the filler characters in it, being as how we know there will be a filler arc coming up soon. But seeing as how the filler and the canon material both take place in HM, pretty sure that will be the central theme, still. XD Even if there is filler in it, it is still a good bet that there will be espada somewhere.

It wouldnt make sense. If that was the case.. they should of just added more fillers now.

They might just throw fillers in between the fights in the HM arc like they did with the SS arc? [ The SS arc had like two fillers. A kon Ep. and that Spirital Cat ep. ]

Oh, There is no doubt about fillers. In the volume 29 release of the manga, there were sketches done by Kubo for a HM filler arc to take place in the anime. The pics can be found in the upcoming episodes thread and the volume 29 thread.

The fillers will be put into the story probably before
the good guys inter Las Noches. Past that there is a sequence of events that can't be stopped. Probably in the anime, they will get to HM and arrive farther away then they did in the manga or something and run into some mean bad guys while "looking" for Inoue. Hopefully it's not as bad Naruto "looking" for Sasuke.

I love this song. I have seldom heard AKFG's songs, so it sounds more unique to me. I can't wait to see the animation that will go with it though, hope the producers make one hell of a good presentation.

there isnt any screaming in the song, i think. go visit the fan site www.akfgfan.com they got a high quality 3 minute preview and junk. im a huge akg fan and i was always wondering when theyd make an opening for this anime (cause they usually do openings for these type of animes) so far, its one of my favourite songs. i only found out about it being an opening today, but i knew they would make a single of this around june-ish.

i like akfg, but i only actually like 2 of their songs lol...
rewrite was my fave songs for sooooooo long. its still great.
this new one after dark is cool too, but not as great as rewrite.

all bleach openings have been great imo. the vids get better and better.

Awesome op/ed. I like the ending as it is, because think of it this way: do you want to watch something upbeat or annoying right after Sado gets "it"? I find the ending theme a good unwinding comparison to the arc. The opening animation is beautiful. I am now addicted to it, just like Rolling Star. I think the producers were trying to limit spoilers in the opening since they overloaded the last one with them.

Ok first off, I don't want this to be taken the wrong way. I think the new opening it great, for the most part. Here is why I think this and the previous opening are not to par other Bleach opening, animation sequence wise only. Simply, it's lacking that "kick" to it in the animation, that previous openings like Asterisk, D-technolife, Tonight x3 and Rolling Star had, to make it a really good opening.

Mainly, it's because of timing. Timing in the series that is. Ok, fillers are right around the corner. Obviously, unlike in Tonight x3, they chose to leave the fillers out. Also, because of fillers, they left out anything to do with the upcoming fights in Las Noches, since more then likely, the next opening will be able to focus on that.

So that leaves a window of what really is a couple of episodes, up to where the fillers start, to make the opening with.

This is why we have a lot, too many in fact, of the same type of scenes in the last opening and endings and just random stuff to fill time

The same shots of the group running through the HM desert again. Same type of shots of Inoue's solidarity. There was just nothing to really add in there. So what do we get?! A third of the opening, 30+ seconds of it, is comprised of the explosion effect and random shots of the hougyouku.

The black and white shots, albeit a good effect, are comprised all of scenes that we have seen or will see in those upcoming episodes.

My main point is when compared to oh say D-technolife, Tonight x3 or Rolling Star, the current opening just does not stand up. Blatantly, missing, it is the fanservice and originallity. Just go back and watch the three I mentioned and you will see what I mean.

Nah. I found the opening a lot better because the scenes shown did not show as much of the upcoming episodes (i.e. major fight scenes.) This was one of my major gripes with Alones, albeit an awseome song. Also, the opening was as it should be: short and attention grabbing. It doesen't tell to much about the plot upcoming, but it illustrates som e major mental evolution in the characters and the basics of the storyline. The point of this opening is to grab the interest of Japanese channel flippers because of the short scenes (they are for people with short attention spans.)

Personally, I really enjoyed seeing instead of dull black stone illustrating Bleach, it is red fire. I find that analogy worth the week wait. I also enjoyed seeing Ichigo in that last scene. We all now know where the bleach production budget went to ;-).

I think after a month, people will enjoy it a lot more. People ranted against Alones for a good long while, and now it is constantly appraised. I cannot argue with the craziness of humans, so if you want to mindlessly rant against my post, I suggest you consider your psychological condition.

There doesn't have to be an abundence of spoilers to make it good. Just look at D-technolife, it's comprised more of fanservice and original scenes, that make it interesting. Stuff we haven't seen or maybe never even thought we would see i.e. Rolling Star. This opening clearly lacked all of that and is just a rehash of Alones.

Speaking of, I'm sure some people ranted against Alones when it first started. There are always people that do that with every new opening and ending, but you can usually get a general group consensus on how truly good said new opening/ending really is. As with the previous ending, this one is pretty much the same: fail. Everyone will always have their individual opinions on it, but, majority wins. At least the song kicks ass. :D

The OP has good animation in it, though I'm not wild about the song. The ED just seems ... discordant to me, like it doesn't fit with the arc. Ah well. :)

I like the new opening very much, but I'm not sure if it has the quality to not annoy me for 6 months. I like the short scens with Orihime falling and the black/white scens but the best is the lyriks, they just fit to what has happened and what will happen.

to the ending: I hate it from the bottom of my heart, it sucks so terrible^^.

Dunno how many ppl watch FMA, but the opening really reminded me of the music they used for that show. Loved the opening, not so impressed by the ending.

The b&w of Hueco Mundo was a nice touch. I love the ink look, like it is a moving manga (which it basically is, lol). The scene where the Espada are gathering, I love the fluid movements, especially little details like the end of Ulqui's coat or Grimmy's pants. It looks awesome.
