Oh good i am not up for paying the price of a PS3 yet. I hope it will be for the PSP that would be great.

I think it would be near-impossible for many reasons to port the game to the PSP :p

The only logical platform to release it on (other than the ps3 itself) is the xbox 360.

i certainly hope it stays exclusive to PS3. anyways, atm its too expensive to develop FF13 for multi platforms. SquareEnix has already poured lots onto this project, so i don't anticipate them spending anymore money that they already have.

Damnit. I wanted it to be ps3 exclusive. Cuz that's where Final Fantasy belongs. Not effing Microsoft. XD

This is very interesting though...are they planning to make it compatible on the wii? Cuz that'd be pretty lol. :p

Porting it over to the Xbox360 would be a good financial move though. If its the same engine, it shouldn't cost them much at all. The extra sales would help a lot, especially considering the small install base on the PS3.

Let's get one thing straight, NOTHING has been confirmed thus far, so as far as we're concerned, it's still a PS3 exclusive. :3

No, it's true. The game Final Fantasy XIII: Agito is a cell phone game within the Fabula Nova Crystallis world of FFXIII. There's some artwork out there, if you can find it. Since it's a cell phone game, it's unlikely it'll be released outside of Japan. Unless they port it to the DS or PSP, perhaps...or maybe downloadable content on PSN...

Anyway, this cross-platform engine was talked about in the context of a new MMO. It is the famous White Engine though, which is also running FFXIII. Don't get your hopes up for FFXIII(or Versus) on the Xbox360, but this info would make it a lot easier for SquareEnix to port it over.

As far as I know (and I am a huge FFXI nerd, so I keep up on this) the reason for the cross-platform element of the White Engine is for the new FFMMORPG they're developing.

The new FF MMO will be cross-platform for PS3, 360 and Windows Vista, but everything I've heard so far pegs FFXIII as being PS3 exclusive. Not really sure how to feel about this. "Yeah, go PS3!" "Nuts, I can't play it 'cause I can't afford a PS3."

The one thing I -can- agree on with myself is that the new FF MMO is going to look awwwwwwwwsome on the White Engine. :3
