How or When did you start watching Bleach ?

Back in Dec 04 I and my friends used to share anime a lot and we had quite a big group .I do remember FMA was our favorite anime and unfortunately I was not downloading FMA . I was waiting for my friend to arrive with episodes of FMA and One Piece. It was 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. He arrived with the anime I had hoped but instead of getting with FMP he got a new series called Bleach .

He said it was a new show and had heard it was really good he had only the first 5 episodes and the series was ongoing . I grumbled he mumbled regarding FMP, It was dumped on my pc and till January 05 I did not watch it. I was busy watching FMA and Naruto. One day I was hunting for something new to watch as the final episodes of FMA were getting downloaded . Then I watched Bleach and yes I grudgingly watched the show..

And know what I really liked the show. That’s how I ended up watching Bleach. I started following the manga around episode 17. Curiosity got the better of me

After I watched Yu Yu Hakusho I wonder if the creator made anymore anime other than this. I heard Bleach had to do with spirits so I thought that was it. But than I found out it was Hunter x Hunter. Too late though, I was hooked onto Bleach. I can't remember when though.

I think I began reading Bleach at somewhere around chapter 25. I was really bored one day so I decided to read it. I was pretty off and on with the manga until around the end of the SS arc. It's so weird to think that I was only 14 when I first read a Bleach chapter :O

Uhm, you know those hate wars you sometimes see on boards about Naruto vs. Bleach? Well, I just happened to read the board and felt like watching it at that moment in time because most people were defending Bleach. I read it first, but the scan that I was reading was too small and made it seem boring, so I just watch the anime first. Then, after, I read the manga starting Aizen's betrayal. Now, I have the manga. Gasp.

So, hate wars made me start watching/reading Bleach.

Some time in 2003, I read Bleach in my friend's PC. He only got the first two volumes. I read it and got bored and thought "this is a 'monster of the week' shounen with ghosts and I bet they will have a tournament later >_<". I dropped it.

Some time in 2005, my LJ friends had been mentioning Bleach a lot. It was during chapter 150s, and as we know Bleach was on a high then. I just graduated from college and have plenty of time in between job-hunting. Scanlations of the then-latest chapters piqued my interest, so I downloaded the whole series, just to find that this was the manga I dropped before. This time I read it through and by the time we get the Menos Grande arc, I'm hooked. SS arc is even better, and I catched up the rest of the chapters when JUMP is on chapter 160-something. Right in the middle of Ichigo vs Byakuya.

I cant remember exactly, but my brother originally found it and he downloaded the episodes, it must of been just before the first fillers began that i started watching it, about episode 55 or something. After the first arc finished, he stopped watching but i continued.

In about September 2005, I began to get really really bored with Naruto. A friend of mine recommended Bleach. So I waited until my final assignment was handed in before I collected episodes 1-50 from her.

Wow.. I'm looking at my Shonen Jump right now and.. has it really been that long? Crazy. In the June issue of Shonen Jump in 2004 there was a manga preview for Bleach. I thought the art was way classier and cooler than anything else I'd seen before, (I was still kinda new to the anime scene back then) so I searched for it and found the manga online and read it all. I think Bleach was on episode 10 when I finally started watching it (I wanted to start earlier but had some computer troubles). I've seen most of the episodes since then, but not the filler. I'm not really a watcher of the anime anymore, I like to get my fix on the manga. Sometimes I watch the anime if I'm feeling especially Bleachy that week >D.

October 2004, I was looking for a new anime as FMA just ended; then some people on an anime forum where I hang out recommanded to check out Bleach when it'd come out. Since we had similar tastes, I thought I'd give it a try...
Episode 2 I was already ranting about Inoue but someone told me she'd get cool powers afterwards. I lasted roughly a week before giving in and check the manga (I read ch1-120 in one night). But I've never been a fan of Inoue in the end, and I still think that her fairies look lame (sorry, I do like fairies, maybe that is why hers never appealed me XD).
Ichigo and Rukia captured my attention right away though, as they made me laugh a lot. Mizuiro and Keigo completed the hilarious trio, with some randoms moments from Chad too XD

I think about 30 Anime episodes in i began to watch it. I was going through the phase of just watching any animes that came about and began to try a few. Naruto and Inuyasha lost there shine, and i had watched all FMP so i decided to try something new so watched Bleach. I wasn't sure on it at first but stuck at it and well here i am today watching the anime and reading the manga.

I got into Bleach in March 2005. I first started with the anime and got up to date with it. That time the anime was at 16th episode. What got me to watch Bleach was seeing only a single group picture of Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, Ishida and Chad. I thought "they look nice", and I showed the picture to my sister, and she agreed. That day we got the first episode, watched it and wanted to see more.

At that time I also showed the same pic to one of my friends, to which he said: "The art doesn't appeal to me". Even he is now a Bleach-fan, and he probably started to like its art too. When the anime was at 21st episode (if I remember right), I started being accidentally spoiled of the manga. Shortly after that, I started reading the manga, partly because of being spoiled but also because of being eager to find out more.

That male friend of mine is now up to date with the anime, and I'm up to date both with the anime and manga. Even now, my sister watches and reads it with me. :)

a good friend of mine told me about this series weeks before but I didn't feel like checking it out. then on one night I just felt the need somehow to see it..and I loved it!>.<
I checked out episode 1-110 in one week and was completely hooked.

some time after that I saw the episode with Ichigo's dad being a shinigami and I wanted to know what would happen next..enter the manga. I've been following the manga since chapter 262/263 now.

It was sometime back in 2005. My brother's friend gave him a disk with the full Bleach chapters (up till Volume 19 or 20) and my brother lent it to me. I only got to chapter 8 though since one of the chapters was broken and I didn't like reading things out of order. :o

Well I didn't pick Bleach back up till around Volume 21 (well, the chapters in this volume anyway), but since then I've been downloading the chapters faithfully. ^_^ I saw the anime too, up till a few episodes into the fillers, dropped it, and stuck to the manga since then.

I started to watch it at the time the SS arc ended about 59-60. I was watching Naruto and One Piece before and Bleach was the only Top Shonen Show i wasn't watching. So a friend of me sent me some eps, and i got addicted to Bleach -.-

Lets see... Probably around May 05 is when I saw my first episode of Bleach. I think it was about episode 25. I was was into anime, but not on the computer. Mostly because I just didn't know. My friend showed me this program called 'bittorrent' and some of the shows he was watching and I was hooked ever since. I think I watched all 25 episodes he had on his comp that night. After the fillers started at ep 63, I started following the manga weekly also.

There was this one topic of BLEACH in another forum, and some guys were talking about how they really liked the Ichigo vs. Zaraki fight and all, I even remeber one of my friend's quotes, he said "I cant wait till the start using Ban Kai. Im gonna start getting spaz attacks" lol. And so I got curious and decided to see what the fuss was all about.

The first episodes were meh, but my friend adviced me to keep watching, that it would only get better. And it did, I caught up real fast with the anime and decided to read the manga 'cause I was so hooked on I wanted to see what the hell happened. I was still a noob in reading manga, BLEACH was actually my second one. >.<

After watching FMA which was my first ever anime, I had a hunger for more! MORE!!! RAWR! So I lent my portable hard drive to a friend and he gave me Samurai Champloo and Bleach. I watched Samurai Champloo first then started on Bleach and o_O! HOLY! I was blown away, insanely hooked.

I started reading the manga after watching episode 26. Since there was a break between seasons and I couldn't wait so I started reading. I think the anime doesn't do justice to the manga, it started off quite good but has deteriorated since then.

I think it was 1~2 years ago (after SS arc had aired). I was bored one night and decided to watch something (not necessarily anime). Went to some forums and saw that many people were into Bleach. So I started watching it since youtube had all the episodes. To be honest, it wasn't that interesting (to me) in the beginning. Fortunately, I made it to episode 15ish where Rukia was taken back to SS. From there on, I got addicted...

I looked up the mangaka and saw he created another series and incidentally, that day, my brother came home and told me he has a new anime entitled Bleach. I remember I was really into Naruto. In the forums there was a lot of talk about which manga was better Naruto or Bleach. I didn't find it interesting since I thought it might be the same as Yu-Yu Hakusho, but I remember someone mentioning that Nemu looks like an older version of Hinata. So, it spiked my curiosity and went looking for the chapter Nemu appeared. I stumbled in the fight between Ishida and Mayuri. I remember crying in anger for what Mayuri did to the Quincies and wanting so much for Ishida to win. I didn't understand most of the attacks but I kept reading on and I was so angry that he didn't die. When Ishida made the comment about rescuing Rukia I decided to not spoil the story and read from the beginning. From that point on Bleach took my #1 spot, FMA into #2 and pushing Naruto to #3.

September 2006. A poster in a Sess/older Rin forum told me about ByakuRuki and that got me interested so I decided to read all about them on wiki and other sites and also looked for fanfics on them. One fic mentioned episode 93 so that became the first episode of Bleach I ever watched. I got addicted to Bleach and decided to veg one whole weekened just watching Bleach episodes and reading up on the manga. Been a addicted ever since. What's funny is that my nephew told me about Bleach in 2005 and showed me one of the earlier episodes and I was like, "I don't like it, I didn't see any swords." XDDD Boy was I wrong about that one. However, now I can proudly say I'm a bigger Bleach fan than he is and he still is wondering how that happened. :D

I remember in Febuary 2005 I was bored jobless and looking for some anime to watch. I remember I was thinking of either Naruto or Bleach. I liked the character design for Bleach so I went with that and downloaded all the current episodes. I watched them in the space of three days and it was at the start of the Soul Society arc. I wanted to know what happened next downloaded the manga found out about Aizen, hit the roof with the "omg shock".

I was really hooked after that. Also trying to keep the manga secrets from my flatmates was fun at the time. It was fun when they got to the parts I'd read and we could share with the "OMG!".

I got interested in Bleach when Naruto was in a filler period, and the manga had yet to deliver any news of Sasuke (Sasuketard here lol), so I happened to see a cool coloring with Hitsugaya, so i thought I'd start reading it. The early manga was really awesome and I think I read like 90 chapters in 1 go. So then I downloaded all the episodes, and watched those. Bleach's anime style was very refreshing to me.

Soon after I started reading up till the most recent manga, that was around 190, then I saw the Arrancar and Ulquiorra and Grimmjow and I was addicted even more.

I guess since 190 was the newest chapter, I started reading almost 2 years ago.

Sometime early Fall last year.

After drinking about 4 cups of coffee and 2 cans of energy drinks (amp gives quite a kick) for reason i cannot recall (it was Saturday night, so i didn't care much), I started flipping channels on TV. Incidentally, right at the time when I changed channel to cartoon network, 1st episode of Bleach started. The intro really got my attention (Asterisk if I can remember). The anime itself wasn't anything special, at least in my opinion, but since viz decided to dub it, i thought it wouldn't hurt to check it out. Downloaded episodes and, with few sleepless nights and naps in school, i finished in middle of Bounto arc, after which i proceeded to read all the manga and caught up on anime once I heard fillers were over.

I bless that night for getting me hooked on bleach and curse it for stealing many days of my life ^_^.

Although I don't remember the date, I remember the chapter which was released that week. It was chapter 165 so it must be around two years ago.
The reason why I started reading it was that I was waiting for my weekly Naruto fix and I was bored. Since I saw "Bleach" on every website dedicated to mangas, I decided to try it to end my boredom. It worked and now, it's my favorite manga. Then, after having downloaded all the chapters, I started to watch the anime.

After growing weary of the war between One Piece and Naruto fans, I found Kenpachi. He asked me if I wanted to see something cool. Before I could argue, I was glued to my seat by his overwhelming reiatsu. Following Ichigo's defeat of Byakuya, I scurried off to the manga, to find that Tousen had de-armed Grimmjow.

Armed with this knowledge, my faith in that character (which had been at about maybe a 7 out of 10...starting at 5, minus 3 for the defeat {it was Kenpachi} and minus 2 for the arrogance, despite his 'peaceful' nature. Then he gained 3 points for his reappearance as a villain {honestly, noone saw that coming} and quick genjutsuing of Renji {thus letting Renji still look badass, despite being in a precarious position}, and he gained 3 more with the utter removal of Grimm's arm coupled with the oh so lovely way Aizen's team crosses dimensions.) and the series was resurged, and I've enjoyed the chapters for the most part ever since, occasionally popping back into the anime to find little tidbits like the Jaguarjack Shuffle.

Upon my first (Of many) periods of living in America (Just so you know, im orginally Scottish. Somewhat of a traveller), I broke my leg, fell of my crutches and broke my hand, all in about a week. A friend came to visit me in hospital, and brought me my laptop and this new manga and anime she had been watching. There where only 10 eps at the time, I cant renember how many chapters. Thankfully, i was only in for a for short time, but it was enough to start the addicition.

I wasn't planning on ever watching bleach until a friend of mine gave me the first 40 or so episodes on disc for christmas. I figured, what the heck and started watching it. It was pretty fun, but i didn't start to really get into it until the vizard/arrancar showed up. Now I'm following along with the latest manga chapters although I usually prefer to watch the anime first, because it's all colorful and the action sequences are more fun over all.

Right after I started reading the manga about ...2 years ago? or was it 3?...When I realized the anime was already in about episode 50 something I quickly watched as much episodes as I could daily. Up until now I'm pretty much updated in all Bleach. I am in the latest chapter and in latest episode. Thank God i wasted all those hours in my life to watch and read xD.

I started watching Bleach because buddies on this one board I frequent started watching it. I was resistant to anime so I ignored them most of the time they talked about it. A couple of months ago, I found out it was on YTV late at 2am so I decided to give it try. My first episode of Bleach ever was episode 4 with the talking bird. I had no idea what the circumstances were. So I occaisianlly watched at 2am for about 2 months I guess. Then I confessed to my messgae board buddies that I was watching on YTV (Sidonzo being one of them). One of them gave me the link to TV links where I could watch it online. I caught ep 1 on youtube and the next 40 eps I went through on TV links. After seeing things in order and not waiting a week, I was obsessed. I even bought the manga which in my whole life I never thought I would do.

Anyway, Bleach's Sealed Sword Frenzy was thrown in there, too, as a freebie (along with some older titles, like Ninja Scroll.) I watched it and realized that it was cool but had too much unexplained backstory so I better watch the series if I wanted to make sense of it all. (The ending credits really puzzled me: who are all those people?!) Within two months, I watched most of the available episodes and spent a mint buying all the available volumes of the translated manga.

My path to crackheadedness started like...almost 3 years ago mebbeh? I mean, I wasn't instantly hooked (oddly, but understandable cuz it's not quite so good at the start) when I was borrowing the manga from my friend, back in 8th grade.

Then next year, they showed the 1st few anime eps at a meeting of our Japan Club (whee, one of the perks of starting high school :3), where I thought "Hey, the anime's not half bad." (& sadly, was also the 1st time I learned the word "shinigami" XDDD Funny how they can completely omit it from Viz's English manga, ain't it...>.>)

So I got a bunch more fansubbed eps on discs from a friend or two, watched several & then just...kinda came to a standstill of sorts...

And for some reason the actual hardcore Bleachaholism didn't actually set in till about a year ago--y'know, the analyzing, squealing-fangirl-ness, buying/drawing/writing stuff kinda mindset--that's when it just HIT.

To this day I haven't a clue why it picked the start of sophomore year to attack me and possess my brain. Maybe it's like cancer :p. But I prefer "Bleachohol"; they're both liquids & you can also say that it's bleached your brain XDD Or that you're in rehab...

As for me. The few things I like about Bleach is the variety of characters and it's comedic relief (mostly the shinigami cup segment).

If I remember correctly... It was at least a year and a half ago (I BELIEVE). I finished reading the series 'Legend Z' at the bookstore. I looked around for something new to read- and I saw BLEACH.

"BLEACH....? Who would name a manga series after a cleaning product...?"

I picked it up anyway and read, read, and read. I managed to finish reading all of the volumes there at the bookstore. After that, I 'forgot' about BLEACH for a while (months I believed passed) and read Naruto and D. Grayman instead (along with Law of Ueki). But, when I was home, I was bored and decided to catch up on BLEACH.... I read OVER 100 chapters that night! The last chapter I read that day was when the Arrancars just appeared (at least, I think so...). And, that is how I got 'addicted' to it... I think it was because of the storyline- reminds me of Yu Yu Hakusho (which I stopped reading around the time I reread BLEACH) and DBZ too (along with other things). And now, I'm hoping that my favorite Arrancar will live (Grimmjow) !

It was a little more than three years ago, I think. I remember there was much talk about the upcoming anime back then. I was getting bored with Naruto and I think I saw an ad for a Bleach website somewhere, and thought the art was nice.

I decided to give it a try, so I found scanlations of the manga. I started reading and couldn't stop until I got to the latest chapter at the time (150~ish, Rukia was about to be executed). Instantly hooked! I especially loved the characters and their interactions with each other, the way they were drawn, and how deep they were. Still do! :)

In '04, I read a chapter or two of the first volume that Viz had translated. I liked it, but I didn't get into it until '05, when I bought the first two volumes. By '06, I was reading online scans. Though the place I read them at only went to when they first see a Menos. Some time after that, in the summer, I started reading the volumes in the stores, until I'd caught up to the English releases. I first saw an episode of Bleach On adult swim, it was always the hype of the converation during the Filler arc in Naruto. I just didn't see what was so special about it. Then I met Kenpachi Zaraki. Just his appearance alone made me an addict. Then I got more in depth with the manga via my best friend drake.

Well, my sister and I have always been into anime. She started watching Bleach shortly after we started watching Naruto (we'd download the episodes). I remember I would watch glimpses of it every now and then, and I think I saw part of the SS arc finale. So I looked it up...and I felt I had to watch the whole thing from the very beginning to refresh my mind. And somehow...it feel way more awesome than the first time I watched it...I got hooked at once....and in a couple of weeks I caught up with the HM arc. However, I remember the last episode I watched from the HM arc was at a huge cliffhanger so in my desperation to know what was going to happen I went to onemanga and started reading the manga and fell even more in love with Bleach.

My dad had a computer, but it didn't have internet, so whenever I got bored, I would sit and watch cartoon network on the TV.
On that Staurday, I found tht I couldn't get to sleep, so I just sat up and watched TV for the night.
When the channel went to Adult Swim, I decided I would stop watching after Futurama, because I didnt like the rest of the shows on that channel.
(This was about the time they were still playing Bleach at 11:30, so it came on right after Futurama, but I didn't know that, and had never heard of it, anyway.)
So I watched the episode, and was about to turn of the TV, when Bleach came on. I heard the opening (which, at the time, was still Asterisk*) and I thought 'A Japanese song for the opening? It must be like Naruto, then :cookie'
So I watched the episode, and ended up liking it. (Quincy Archer Hates You. I forgot the number. The one when the Menos Grande appeared, and Ichigo was planning to chop it to his height, and then smack it over the head with his giant, bad-ass, un-named sword)
So, when I got home from my dad's on sunday morning, the first thing I did was go online to find more Bleach episodes (by now, I was already watching the Japanese dub of Naruto. I had gotten bored with the Gaara/Naruto fight, and episodes wee only coming out once a week. Not like now. They come out two episodes a week.)
I was too lazy to go to the site I was getting the Naruto episodes off of, and I had figured they didn't have Bleach... (it's SaiyanIsland by the way, and the did have Bleach. :cry I wish I had known that at the time.)
So, the SECOND thing I did was set my DVR to record Bleach whenever it came on.
Then I went to the library, to pick up the new Naruto manga, and low and behold...
BLEACH MANGA was sitting right next to it on the shelf!
So I read the manga.
(Then my cousin convinced my to watch InuYasha and FMA... and the librabry had an entire section of just manga, so I read almost everything there. Fruuba, XXXHolic, Tsubasa(which I love :love), the .HACK books, and basically everything else...

LOL I can remember it like it was yesterday...

It all started back in June of '04. I'd just finished 10th grade, and had been following the American Shonen Jump for about a year (Issue 8, August '03 to be exact). I picked up Issue 14, which had the first 20 pages of Chapter 1, and gave it a try.

I loved it at first sight. And there was so much to love; the quirky, hilarious characters, the off-beat humor, the unique visual style. I read that preview a dozen times, at least, and got Volume 1 from Borders the day after it came out. I found Manga-Rain's scanlations via IRC, and I've been reading ever since.

I started watching the anime as soon as it premiered. I actually dropped it after the first few episodes--I found the art subpar, and hated all the random plot changes and censors. The SS Arc fit much more closely with what I expected the anime to look like, but it's been a love/hate relationship since episode one. I have similar relations to the manga now, too, since a lot of what drew me in only pops up in flashes now.

In spite of all that, though, I still love the series.

I first officially heard of bleach at AnimeLA 06, Some girls where dressed in the shinigami uniforms, and singing to "Shimpaii naii onee-san" and i was like O.o;

Summer of 07, I really got into Anime. I'd been a manga fan for awhile, but wasn't very well read. (Kenshin was my main sqeeeeze) My friend encouraged me to watch Fruits Basket. I did--it was sweet and all, but...well, I like ACTION! ANOTHER friend had leant me a few volumes of Full Metal Alchemist, so I watched all of those. Made it to the end...needed...more...I had heard the name Bleach, and seen the books. I knew it was pretty popular and heard it was rather good, but had absolutely NO idea what it was about. hmm...while I was on a computer shop playing addictively on an online game...the person next to me is watching bleach 58...I was amazed Ichigo zipping around senbonzakura...I was like "that was f***ing awesome..never I seen that before on any anime" lol my character died because of I was distracted by the episode... :lmao

my bro was watching it a couple of months ago, it made me go hmmm... snuck into his room and 'borrowed' his dvd's and now I'm an even bigger addict than he is :)

Sometime this summer, my friend and I created a fake facebook profile to show how easily they could be created, to my non-private profile friends and we got a bit carried away with it. When we were putting random t.v. shows under the t.v. show section, we just decided to put the top ten animes in Japan. And then afterwards I found myself slightly intrigued by the name, so I decided to check out the anime. After watching all the episodes, I eventually got hooked to the manga as well.

somthing happend to me like that once, but i was playing the bleach game and i got distracted by somthing of bleach xD i think it was like the i was watching an episode at my grammas house or somthing, and i was like DISTRACTED by the episode xD and then i died on teh came ;_; sad life xDDD

If my memory's working just right, I think I began watching Bleach last 2006. I saw a dvd of it and thought "why not?"
