Bleach 290- The broken mask

The chapter begins with Ichigo and Orihime are stunted from Nnoitra’s revelation. Nnoitra then taunts them about how stupid they were to carry such a dangerous person around. Orihime looks at Nell as if wanting to ask what NNoitra said is true.

“N..no….about that…I am not an espada…” Nell replies and that makes Nnoitra to look at her and wonders if she has lost her memories. “N..no. I did not forget. I…am not an espada right?” That angers Nnoitra so he walks toward her and lifts his foot above her head, “I didn’t see you for a while..now you are being annoying on a different manner?” With that he lowers his foot aiming her head but Ichigo comes in between and uses his hand to take to an attack.

“Ichigo..believe me…Nell..didn’t lie about anything to Ichigo.” Ichigo replies without looking back at her “I believe you!” Then turns around and gives her a smile, “Don’t worry, Nell. We wil…” Before he could finish the sentence, Nnoitra’s foot hits Ichigo’s face and throws him back to ground.

“Huh, looks like you really have lost your memories. But whatever, you got smashed on the head like that; it’s not surprising that you’d lost the memories.” His words makes Ichigo asks him if he said ‘smashed on the head..?” Nnoitra admits and then picks Nell above his head and screams “I am the one who smashed her head!!” Ichigo yells out and jumps at Nnoitra but Nnoitra uses his scythe to hit Ichigo’s leg and makes him fall.

Now Ichigo gets beaten by Nnoitra but he still tries to stand up and stares at Nnoitra tells him to let Nell go. Nnoitra doesn’t listen to him so he yells again. This time Nnoitra tells him to shut up. Ichigo runs toward him but this time he lifts Nell up in front of him and that stops Ichigo. With that, Nnoitra kicks Ichigo again and throws Nell away. He takes Ichigo’s hand (the one he holds a sword) and says, “I hate those who cannot win yet just run to me like this. Let’s get it over wit, Shinigami.” Nnoitra squeezes Ichigo’s hand so hard it makes him cries out. Nell sees how much pain Ichigo is in so she screams his name. Right now, Nell is torn between rushing to help Ichigo and just stays put where she is. Even though she’s an arrancar, she’s still a kid at heart and now she’s forced to choose.

Suddenly the blow happens and it stunts Nnoitra. In front of him now there is a woman who her clothes are torned up yet still has a mask that resembles Nell.

The first one NOW CONFIRMED FAKE (less likely to be real, I will go find the kana, it was posted hours ago though) said roughly:
Almost instantly Nell transforms and there is a page title/opening page of her. Then it almost immediately goes into a flash back of her fighting Nnoitra infront of Aizen for the 5th seat in the Espada. Nnoitra sliced Nell and left her for dead. Then it returned to the present and she was going to fight Nnoitra, they also mentioned no Ishida and Renji this week.

Then there was this one which I think is more likely to be real but heck who knows, thanks to Danna for correcting the last line before i posted it:

I have to say, saw it comming, but that doesn't make it any less cool. But I also happen to like what Kubo's done with the Hueco Mundo arc. I really like the parallels to Soul Society. If you stop and think about it for a moment, it really makes sense. You could say Shinigami are "good" and Hollows are "bad". It stands to reason both sides could have more in common than you'd think, and we're seeing just how true that is. Of course Aizen could have some influence on it as well, but someone with that kind of power would influence anything he touched really.

So I really wouldn't say the Nell revelation is a bad plot "twist". There has been enough unique elements in Hueco Mundo aside the parallels to make it a very enjoyable arc. I think Kubo really put a lot of thought into it.

Just my 2 cents.

lol I think I am one of the few who is rather disappointed with this. I have never really been disappointed with Bleach before, but with this I am. And I think that's mainly because Kubo has already done this. I want something freash, something new. Don't get me wrong, I do like parallels, a lot actually, but parallels that have some kind of significance, some kind of meaning as to why they are there to begin with. Maybe there will be something later on, I don't know, but as of now I am disappointed. We've already seen the 'cute cuddly [cat, person] transfrom into a hot big breasted woman' act. I want something new, something different. Something else that will make this arc stand apart from the Soul Society arc. Kubo is more creative than to use one of his old plot twists again.

And also I think it bothers me because I absolutely adored child Nell. I loved her lisp and she was so tiny and cute, and though she did have quite a potty mouth, I just wanted to pick her up and hug her! And now that's all changing and that disappoints me.

So yeah, I know I need to wait for more of this chapter to come out before I judge it, but so far I'm disappointed :/

There's nothing wrong with Nell changing to an adult form....I actually foresaw Nell able to do that, long time ago.....I think it was during the time when chibi-Nell ran to look for Ichigo in the corridors.

If it is true(*her being the Espada, fighting Noitora for the fifth position)....if it is true.....I would be very disappointed. Disappointed because.....that would mean Ichigo has the potential to beat every of the Espada.....because Nell says so......even with the mask, Ichigo is invicible(towards Ulquiorra and Doldonii).

That's what bother me most.....what a crazy power upgrade in like almost 30 chapters.....and there is no journey to find that true in self.

But in that kind of transformation......Ichigo should be dying of extensive nosebleeds.

I don't think anyone can honestly say Nell transforming is a plot twist. We all saw it comming as far back as when Pesche and Dondo started getting worried about "bad" things happening to her.

Yorurichi being a woman was a plot twist. This? Not even close. But it's still pretty cool. And I'd be surprised if we never see chibi Nell agian.

Well thats where I have to disagree.....At them moment this is nowhere near pure 100% bleach goodness....Unless thesres a huge omgaizenisntdeadhyougowhat plot twist (Which of course there will be) This arc is a waste of time.....My actual guess is that Aizen set all of this up...So make ichigo and co. think this is just like SS, therefore they have a chance. Well, IMHO Nell is doomed :
* If she stays in HM, she'll have Aizen's army against her (unless she's in Aizen's side but so far we have no clue about that).
* If she goes to human world, she'll have the shinigami against her (unless she's hidden in Urahara's or vizard's basement, which would be pretty lame).
That's why I think it would make more sense to have Nell sacrifice herself (which is an honorable end to a minor character) than keeping her alive. Of course we wouldn't watch her die, like we didn't watch Dordonni and Cirrucci die.

While people have been saying that Nell Youruichi thing was too predictable, I'm sure Kubo has a reason for the parallelism that he's been setting up in this story. Hollow Ichigo vs. Ichigo, SS vs HM aside from simply introducing all the arrancar baddies, I think this is all just part of a significant overarching theme that will be important some time later in the story. The duality of the zanpakto and the shinigami, the vizards coexisting with their inner demon. Aizen attempting to combine and obtain both hollow and shinigami powers for himself.

And perhaps it really isn't all that deep and was just aesthetically appealing to him. But i'd like to think there's something more to it than that. (I hope):o

Now, looking back at 283 you realize it's a woman telling Orihime that Ichigo is there for her, fighting for her, enduring pain for her! Nell picked up all these things about Ichigo from observing his actions. Even chapter 270, Nell remembered it was Ichigo's reaction to Orihime's name that stood out, not any other name Ulquiorra mentioned. That says a lot. So yey for grown up Nell! Can't wait to see the whole chapter!

After this arc, I suspect that they'll never be there again, so making allies there is, to me, almost pointless. Unless Nell and them can help somehow during WW o__o

Well, 'Hime has the potential to be truly god-like, but her difficulty with healing Ichigo shows that her power is (thankfully) far from perfect. Why wouldn't she be able to help them during the winter war? :confused: If the war takes place in Karakura would it really be that difficult for her to get there? Or anywhere else for that matter? In the end if Kubo likes them enough I'm sure he'll find a way to transport them to any location necessary. Remember that cube thing(forgot name; I fail) that grimmjow used to trap Ulquiorra in disneyland? :/ I don't think its COMPLETELY unreasonable.

We really need to let this whole "throat penis" thing die. What else was she supposed to say? She talks like a little kid. Do little kids know the word "uvula"? Then why would she know "口蓋垂"? She'd know that little thing at the back of your throat by the name that most Japanese kids know it by, "のどちんこ". I'm pretty sure that's what most Japanese people would know it as. It just so happens to basically mean, "throat penis" but it's not strange at all that she would use the word. The reason Ichigo was taken aback in the first place was the way she described the act of reaching in her throat and grabbing her uvula.

Bleach 290- The broken mask

The chapter begins with Ichigo and Orihime are stunted from Nnoitra’s revelation. Nnoitra then taunts them about how stupid they were to carry such a dangerous person around. Orihime looks at Nell as if wanting to ask what NNoitra said is true.

“N..no….about that…I am not an espada…” Nell replies and that makes Nnoitra to look at her and wonders if she has lost her memories. “N..no. I did not forget. I…am not an espada right?” That angers Nnoitra so he walks toward her and lifts his foot above her head, “I didn’t see you for a while..now you are being annoying on a different manner?” With that he lowers his foot aiming her head but Ichigo comes in between and uses his hand to take to an attack.

“Ichigo..believe me…Nell..didn’t lie about anything to Ichigo.” Ichigo replies without looking back at her “I believe you!” Then turns around and gives her a smile, “Don’t worry, Nell. We wil…” Before he could finish the sentence, Nnoitra’s foot hits Ichigo’s face and throws him back to ground.

“Huh, looks like you really have lost your memories. But whatever, you got smashed on the head like that; it’s not surprising that you’d lost the memories.” His words makes Ichigo asks him if he said ‘smashed on the head..?” Nnoitra admits and then picks Nell above his head and screams “I am the one who smashed her head!!” Ichigo yells out and jumps at Nnoitra but Nnoitra uses his scythe to hit Ichigo’s leg and makes him fall.

Now Ichigo gets beaten by Nnoitra but he still tries to stand up and stares at Nnoitra tells him to let Nell go. Nnoitra doesn’t listen to him so he yells again. This time Nnoitra tells him to shut up. Ichigo runs toward him but this time he lifts Nell up in front of him and that stops Ichigo. With that, Nnoitra kicks Ichigo again and throws Nell away. He takes Ichigo’s hand (the one he holds a sword) and says, “I hate those who cannot win yet just run to me like this. Let’s get it over wit, Shinigami.” Nnoitra squeezes Ichigo’s hand so hard it makes him cries out. Nell sees how much pain Ichigo is in so she screams his name. Right now, Nell is torn between rushing to help Ichigo and just stays put where she is. Even though she’s an arrancar, she’s still a kid at heart and now she’s forced to choose.

Suddenly the blow happens and it stunts Nnoitra. In front of him now there is a woman who her clothes are torned up yet still has a mask that resembles Nell.

I was hoping we'd get a fight scene or mini-flashback to Nel's backstory, but I guess we have to wait one more week! I don't mind, I'm looking forward to the possibility of Nel and Nnoitora fighting! That is going to be cool and will probably cause a few nosebleeds or two if Nel fights in her nearly naked state. XD Nel's memory is fascinating though. She knows where the entrance to Las Noches was and how long it would take for Ichigo and co to get there. She has a mouth of a sailor and thinks like a woman especially when it comes to telling a man to lie about a woman's weight! It's been fun going back and imagining all the Nel scenes with her as a woman and now you realize her calling Ichigo a virgin isn't so outrageous! XD

Anyway, if she is the former #5, that means she's most likely stronger than Ichigo. It will be cool if she's the one who manages to save both Orihime and Ichigo. I want to know how she's able to transform from adult to child and back. Is it similar to how Yoruichi transforms into a cat? Usually, we only know Espada to transform when they release so this is an entirely different power altogether.

I don't think Nell can change like Yoruichi, I think it's subconscious thing, to save Ichigo, and right after she done so, she'll change back /I hope so/ OR She'll stay like this forever from now on :S I like her face in the adult form ^^ But the cover will be nice too :3 /that one is screaming for colors :P/
