Okay whatever you call it this is the place to talk about it (unless of course the search engine decieves me and such a thread already exists)? Well a lot of new seasons have started worldwide so who do you cheer for and what are your predictions etc etc?
Edit by spacecat:
Ok we have started a weekly guessing game for the scores in the premier league. The winner gets reps.
We are also doing the champions league so feel free to join in xD

They won 2-0 this week though so it's a bit better i guess. They only just got up in the top division again heh

I follow Real Madrid when at my parents place, sadly i don't have the channel here(spc corse that channel would be my pick if i could choce just 1)
It was justified that Sevillia took the hmm...was it the supercup(champions vs copa del rey winner) or is the Supercup the upcommin Milan vs Sevillia?
Anyway Raul made a goal there and again this weekend in there 2-1 win over Atlectico. Im usually satisfied if Cassilias,Raul & Robinho have a good game^^
I still miss the real playing style from 2000-2002(Followed the club since 98)
N.B. Atlectico vs Real was canceled on that Tv channel corse the spanish media wern't sure of who had the rights -_-
Atleast i saw a tempo filled match vs Getafe & Sevillia. 2 were send off, 1 had Heartproblems and collapsed, Laudrup into football again and a good amount of goals.
Germany won against England last week (2 : 1) => +whahahahahahahaaa+
That just had to be said XDDD
But David Beckham <33333

Anyone had a real Football mania year?
I mean a year or more where your brain just went around football all the time?
98/99 was my football year. Played it at school, Played Fifa and Primier Manager when at home either for Pc or PSX, Followed u-16,u-17,u-18 and u-21 championships, read the football news 2 a day at CNN and once a day at Eurosport, visited Realmadrids homepage a few times a day, followed 2-4 matches of the Primeria division a week aswell as 4 champions league matches, Copa Del Rey, Eurogoals every monday, national team games for both denmark & Spain aswell as any big national teams matches i stumbled over, talked about strategys for Real, there likely lineups etc. etc. etc.
1½ year later i changed my interest to just be Real's games when possible, and some national games.
Had gotten enough of all the stuff i'd seen, but was pretty cool knowing the names of the later big stars like "Ronaldinho", "Saviola","Xavi","Cassilias" etc. years before them getting to there star status or some even before becomming first team players^^

Yeah well the players just go where all the money is and England is one of the places with the cash $$ The Australian leauge sucks cos they can't keep our good players here as they simply can't pay them as much as those huge clubs. Chelsea is a good example of a how money can make the club.
Vancouver Whitecaps!!! Currently USL first division champion :yay
Well ... actually, I don't follow them much ^^; ... safe to speak I only follow football every 4 years, when it's WC time, that's when I don't sleep for a whole month :p
Oh ... and I don't think Beckham playing for the Galaxy is a bad thing, at least I get to see him play in person now, it's a good thing for us North American football fans :)

It's not just the Premier League that is flooded with foreign players but every successfull league. But that's business. But what I really don't like is if I see National Teams which are in-patriatin (have i spelled it right?) foreign players only for the sake of scores. National Teams should consist of Players who are proud to play for their country and not of Moneylovers who're just playing for fame. Luckily that's not so extreme atm, but I'm sure in about 5-10 years it will be flooded like the City Teams :/

gatorade is a sport drink like powerade
www.gatorade.com (http://www.gatorade.com)
its more common in the US and around the region where I live. i've had powerade too but gatorade is just more available. atm, i take the powdered form and mix it myself, its cheaper and much more convinient, since i can make it at home any time ^__^
as much as i would like to see england win, i have this feeling they won't. england hav been shit at best for the past 4-5 years, and i don't see them doing a u-turn anytime soon.
oh and the guy with the long legs is peter crouch. i remember when they made fun of him during the world cup when he did that ridiculous dance. totally hilarious!

now he's just a has-been
spacecat
09-09-2007, 01:07 PM
Yeah he was good but he has had too many injuries. He really has never done anything good for Australia. All he really did was go play some good football in England and pretend to be british, he even tried to steal David Beckham's squeaky annoying voice. I doubt he will ever be back in form.

Were doomed anyways since when have the English football team been on form? Not for a very long time from my knowledge >.<. Though they didn't play too bad yesterday. Just need to keep a good attitude. Keep of injuries. Get all the good players we can on the pitch. Slap them all round the head before they enter the pitch as so not to swear at the ref and we should be ok i hope. Gah were doomed.
Congrats to Newcastle XD

Yeah England are. I pray somehow we'll pull through, just need to get rid of all the drama around the team and am sure we should pull through. England are third in the table and if they beat Russia then England will be second so hopefully we can just beat them.
