Okay i know this seems like a stupid question or anything but back in a recent chapter of Bleach..part of Ichigo's bankai outfit is now white instead of Red..does anybody know why?

Maybe Kubo draw it by mistake white?:D
I don't think this is a stupid question at all.
Kubo may have made a mistake, but making such a huge mistake on the coloring doesn't seem very likely.
My guess is that it has something to do with Ichigo's inner hollow and his control over it. But nothing has been explained, so we can't really tell just yet.

It might have something to do with the Hollow...maybe because they're in Hueco Mundo, where everything's stark white...who knows. XD

probably.. or probably it is a result of his training with the vizards?

Could you be more specific about what's changed? I can't see the difference.

Like, in the colored version of when Ichigo first tranforms into Bankai form in Soul Society, his outfit is black and red. In the latest chapter's colored thing, it's black and white. I think that's what she's talking about.
btw, it was it chapter 286 :D (so you people won't have to dig ;))
It might've been a mistake.. but who knows :p

Ichigo's outfit has always had black and white. However, previously, the inside was red. Now, it's all black and white.
I thought the red looked really nice on the inside of his Bankai, but I guess Kubo either thinks otherwise or made a mistake.

Yeah it sound reasonable that it mighht have something to do with the hollow.
The red/crimson color he used to have is the color of the Shinigamis spirit thread afterall... White beeing normal though.

I guess the next time we see Ichigo in his bankai colored, we'll know if it was a mistake or on purpose.

I hadn't previously noticed that, but you're right, it IS Black and White now...which I find kinda ironic...seeing as his mask is getting more red while his outfit is getting more white =P

Ugh.
Darn the anime for drawing it red.
Ichigo's mask is BLACK and WHITE. And always has been.
Or at least, I'm pretty sure it has always been, unless there's a color spread that features a red/white mask.

pretty sure it's black and white too. I think I even saw a color spead that features that...
Yeah, the mask has always been BLACK and white in the manga.
Just look at BA banner up there :P
I dunno about the outfit.. But I think Kubo draw it white in that color spread, just for art sake. It fit better with that kind of sky. Not a major change in his powers, or it would've been noted in the manga too..

Besides the fact I was kidding (hence the =P)...I DO prefer thinking of it as RED...excuse me if I offended you.
On topic-It quite possibly could have been simply for artistic design, lest it would have been noted earlier. But it's Kubo, so anything's possible.

Nah, not offended. It's just that so many people think it's red and white when in fact it's BLACK. And since there's only one or two spread with the mask, most people don't believe it when I tell 'em :/
Anyway,
Yeah, the mask has always been BLACK and white in the manga.

I kinda lawld at this because of Ichigo's plot induced mask "limit". Nonetheless, I don't think that his increase has anything to do with the change in color of his bankai.
Ichigo's bankai was white in the newest chapter once again, so I guess it wasn't a mistake

Hm...that's really odd....Kubo's subtle foreshadowing perhaps? I dunno...with Kubo...it could be anything...
I wonder when will the anime team will change the color?

I think Kubo might of made it white because of him finally making his mask last longer and his hollow powers maybe

I don't know why he may of changed it, but I think it's nicely done.
It also fits the "Black and White" theme.

The inside layer of his black shirt is red, maybe that's what you're seeing.

The original under cape for Ichigo's Bankai was red at the beginning. It appears that it has changed to white since the "Tooth and Nail" cover page and "The Scarmask" color page.
It's all about the "Black and White" it seems.

Everything seems to be about the battle of Black and White in Bleach nowadays. That is a cool theme though. I wonder what this is foreshadowing? The return of Hollow Ichigo? Temptation from Aizen? My own imagination running wild again? Probably the last thing I listed?
Yeah.

It could be simply an artistic thing and Kubo prefers Ichigo to be black/white.
Or, it could also mean that Shirosaki is gaining more control over Zangetsu. Bankai, imo, allows the zanpakutou and the user to be 'one', and if Shirosaki is the predominant soul in the Zangetsu/Shirosaki pair, then Ichigo's bankai losing color and turning to black/white makes sense. It also ties in with the fact that Ichigo could suddenly use the mask for probably 15+min or however long that fight lasted, even after the mask was totally cracking.
