Welcome to the fanclub dedicated to the relationship between the characters Aizen Sousuke and Hinamori Momo! During the SS-arc and the arcs that followed it, if you think that the relationship between the previous Fifth Division Captain and his Co-Captain captures your attention, then please feel free to join us. :)

But first, please bear in mind a few rules:
If you do not like a pairing DO NOT post in that pairing FC. If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically recieve a ban.

You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

Neg reps to rival pairing fc posts over such things won't be tolerated. I consider this being in an FC of a pairing you don't like therefore breaking a rule.

I'd suggest just totally not reading the fc of the pairing you don't like but I know that is never gonna happen. You all wanna be able to talk about other pairings so much well fine but just be prepared for others to do it about your favourite pairing also. These rules were changed as per YOUR wishes so don't come complaining to me when you decide you don't like the change.

Please post these rules in the first post of your pairing FC.

At this point in time any pairing/ship/ship wars issues will be dealt with by: spacecat. So please contact spacecat if there is a problem and not another mod.

And after stabbing her, how is it that she's still alive anyway? Surely he's not that incompetent. Or is Unohana's healing powers just really that strong? (for that matter, how come Histugaya's alive, too?)

Nah lol don't be paranoid, you make sense. I think the main factor is Unohana. Kubo even joked in a new omake about how 4th squad can bring the dead back to life. I am pretty sure Aizen did mean to kill her but knowing how weak she is compared to him he probably didn't go overboard. Same with Hitsu. I got the whole vibe that he didn't really want to fight anyone, he only fighted the people who attacked him or wouldn't get out of his way. I don't think he was trying really hard or anything (well he wasn't and he didn't need to either).

...wonder if that's Aizen's (effed up) way of showing fondness. :p

The letter is a part of Aizen's scheme to divide and conquer Gotei 13, I think. By that letter, he frames Hitsugaya and forced him to face someone he can never hurt. And then he also manipulated Kira, maybe hoping between him, Hinamori, Matsumoto and Hitsugaya would kill, incapacitate or at least occupy each other while Aizen carries out his plan.

Or else he just gets off from playing mindgames.
Maybe I should join this FC. I had liked it more than HitsuHina back in "those days" and they totally slept together, and I still like it now for totally different reasons. (Hm, does the FC needs to have spoiler policy?)

Personally, I see romance in Hitsugaya's feelings for Hinamori, but I ship HitsuHina too, so I'm bound to be biased, heh, heh. :p *multi-ships excessively* I also don't think Aizen loves anyone but I do think he is sadistically fond of Hinamori, LOL

Oh! Was that what the letter did? I only remember Hinamori reading it (that time, before she made her escape to see him) which is why it's always a mystery to me. Why write a letter to just her? She is already trustingly blind towards him, continues to trust him to a fault. It seemed overkill. Add the fact that it seemed like she was called just to be stabbed, and. Bah. (then again, I get if she was the bait to lure Hitsugaya or something). I totally forgot the reason you mentioned, haha!

1) Otherwise I'd gladly provide a link to the sources of the fanarts but unfortunately, I have tons of bookmarks (and it'd take a good while to go through them) and as far as I know, some of the sites aren't up anymore. RE: Musicals -- furato, space, please enlighten me to the AizenMomo-happenings in the musical! I know nothing about it! >_<
For starters... SEE ICON PLZ. Ookuchi Kengo who plays Aizen is IMO the handsomest guy in the crew, and Saitou Kumiko who plays Momo is really cute and camera-shy. Both of them's among the best singers in the troupe which results in pretty scenes, including a duet. I think Kengo's totally playing up the Aizen/Momo, especially in Bankai Show (the 'live' show where there's not much story but more songs and dances).

One time, the whole cast was to sing Rangiku's part in a Gin-Rangiku-Hitsugaya-Hinamori song. It's a gag they do because Rangiku's actress was absent from the show due to pregnancy. All the cast take turns singing her part, and in one of the show Gin says everyone shall sing (it was hilarious). In the last part Gin-Rangiku and Hitsu-Hina do some dance in pairs (basically just hand gestures), so the whole cast are acting silly like they're in love with Gin; Ikkaku and Kira even get in a little fight over being the closest to Gin. However, Aizen's the only one standing furthest from Gin and closer to Momo (the original formation is left to right Gin-Rangiku-Momo-Hitsu), looking at her and she acknowledge him too, like she's dancing with both Aizen and Hitsu and not Hitsu alone (LOL).

Another is during the rehearsal for the last show. There's a song titled Fuyu no Hanabi, sung by Aizen, Momo and Hitsu in the scene of Hitsu's birthday (Bleach omake -12.5). At the end of the song, the three of them pose in front of the stage. He doesn't do this in the actual show, but in one of the rehearsals Aizen stood on his knee next to Momo like he's about to propose. I squeed so much ^.^

Chap Goh Mei is a Hokkien term for ‘fifteenth day for the first lunar month, the first full month of the New Year. This occasion is marked by various festivities, namely Lantern Festival, Chinese Valentine Day Festival and eating tangyuan(normally done on Winter Solstice Day). These different festive celebrations have their own separate celebrate date, but somehow they are brought together to be celebrated on one day.

Lantern Festival >> There are two types of Chinese Lantern Festival, one that is celebrated on 15/first lunar moon and the other one is celebrated on 15/eighth lunar moon.

The First Lantern Festival(15/1)
Long time ago, an emperor dreamt about his home palace being burned down, believing that it was a bad omen. Some of the court officials used the emperor’s dream as an opportunity to set thousands of concubines and female servants free from the home palace, by telling the emperor to that the dream was indeed a bad omen and the palace would be burnt down to the ground by deities. In order to avoid impending disaster, each female resident in the imperial palace must carry a lantern and go home, thus fooling the deities in believing there was already a fire in palace and people were fleeing, and every one would return to the palace afterwards. The emperor agreed and of course, there was no fire at the palace and the emperor credited the supposedly successful aversion of the disastrous fire with what was done, and hence he decreed the event to become a regular festival. As a result, the festival eventually became a family reunion day(the girls went back respectively to their homes) when it merged with other Chinese traditions of various regions in China over time.

The Second Lantern Festival(15/8)
It is sometimes referred as Mid-Autumn Festival. Originally intended for friends and families to gather together, to eat moon cakes and pomeloes and enjoy admiring the bright mid-autumn harvest moon(which happen to be the brightest and roundest throughout the whole year). Mid-Autumn Festival also has a romantic Chinese eternal love story that is similar to the Tanabata story, about a couple(HouYi and Chang Er) who were separated from each other and could only come together during the Mid-Autumn Festival, when the moon itself is in it’s fullest and brightest (bright mid-autumn harvest moon).

Chinese Valentine Day (15/1)
Chinese Valentine Day is also celebrated on Chap Goh Mei, but on a smaller scale in compared to the other festival during the Chinese New Year. However in compared to the other Chinese Valentine Day (7/7, Tanabata), the former one is preferred because Chinese Valentine Day (7/7) falls during the Chinese Ghost Month (possibly they don’t want to mingle love and ghost together, or making their love to be forbidden). It is also my opinion, that Chap Goh Mei is a much more happier occasion than 7/7 Chinese Valentine day, because there is no rain, and unmarried girls would be able to go out and meet their prospect suitors on a date throughout the whole night. In certain places, the girls would throw tangarines into the river / sea in hope that the tangarines that they throw, would be picked up by their fated partners.


Rules & Regulations:
Chap Goh Mei Night is also a Chinese Valentine Day, like Tanabata 7/7 Night, but with a slight difference. The moon on Chap Goh Mei is a full moon, while the Tanabata moon is a sickle moon.

RenjixRukia is the main couple for the love contest Chap Goh Mei. Totally agreed. Hinamori was pretty corageous when she was at shinigami school, and she is tender and loving (except when she got hysterical after Aizen's death, but I mean, Aizen dying is a good reason to get hysterical ;-) . It would be a damn waste of a character if she was kept crazy and indignified in a hospital room.

Well, it's mainly up to Kubo. I honestly think Hinamori's popularity has got him off-guard. I hope he gives a little time to her, since she's grown so popular in Japan. I fear Kubo might have designed Hinamori as a character meant to define Aizen (both taicho and the throne-usurper). But since she is so much loved, I hope we see more of her.

Besides, I wish we saw more of her as herself, and not because Aizen asks for her. She should try to recover on her own. It's going to be hard, and possibly it's going to be asking too much of Kubo, but I wish we saw her trying to become independent of Aizen. Whether she manages to do so or not.

I half-agree. I think Aizen liked Hinamori his way, but not as a collector (that would be Orihime), but as a pet owner. Hinamori is gentle, sweet and loyal, like a puppy. She's grown stronger to please him... like a good breed of dog if you train it. Yep, it's wrong to compare Hinamori to an animal, but that seems to be what he feels for her. If a person had to move to another country (or plane of existance), and became too busy (like trying to conquer the afterworld), what would that person do with a loved pet that he cannot carry? They would pat the pet in the head sweetly, say "thank you for everything, goodbye", and then sacrifice it.

That's what Aizen does. He treats Hinamori as loved, loyal, useful, well-trained dog. She's sort of important to him... just not important enough. But he cares for her enough as to be kind when trying to kill her (no sadistic tendencies or needless pain here, a perfect stab in the chest). Besides, he spares her the worst: if he had said that he always considered Ichimaru as his vice-captain while Hinamori was listening, that would have hurt her more than the stab. He waited until Hinamori was unconscious to diss her. I don't think it's coincidental.

Maybe Aizen can love somebody, and certainly he can respect the people he consider his equals. Problem is, he does not consider Hinamori his equal. He acts towards her like you would act towards a pet. The fact that she admires him and looks up to him doesn't help at all. In short, it's a totally unequal relationship, from the very base: he looks down to her and she up to him, and both are content (well, she's happiest) with that state of affairs. Bad start. And that's not counting all the things that are wrong with it (and that make it so interestingly dangerous): we're talking adult/teenager, mentor/pupil and boss/employee. There's so much space for things to go awfully, and I mean AWFULLY wrong in it all, that the possibilities are amazing.

Three hoorays for Tite Kubo for making them the sweetest couple ever (even if it looked one-sided), when Aizen wore glasses. I guess that the fact that Aizen, with our withoug glasses, is the most gorgeous character in all the manga, also helps (feel free to disagree with me, I think bespectacled Aizen was the pinnacle of hotness, and the fact that he was good just made him better).

Erm... Do I need to say I want to be counted in? I want to be counted in, I really want some Aizen-Hinamori action. When they were sugar, I wanted it. Now it's angsty, I want it too. Four hoorays for Tite Kubo for being able to create sexual chemistry between two characters who seemed to be goody-goody. I mean, normally the good guys aren't that interesting, but Aizen was charismatic and hot, and his way of treating Momo was... well, hot. That's possibly why I forgive Momo her mistakes: she didn't fall in love with a bastard... she fell in love with the hottest, most charming man of all Seiretei (no, no one is hotter than bespectacled Aizen, not for me). When someone fools you for fifty years of perfect deception, you have a right to be wrong. Heck, everyone swallowed Aizen's story. In fact, Byakuya Kuchiki almost participates in the execution of his sister, and Renji almosts kills Ichigo, so he also participated (at first) in Aizen's attempt to kill Rukia. So, yes, Momo attacked Hitsugaya and that was soooo wrong. But everyone fell for the trick. If Momo is stupid, everyone else in Soul Society is (save possibly Ukitake).


So... I like the pairing because the possibilities are inmense and the chemistry could melt a furnace. I thought Aizen-taicho was a great character, and one difficult to make, since it's difficult to make a good guy so charismatic. I like Momo because I love girls who choose the good guy (I'm a girl myself) instead of the bad one, plus she's sweet, kind and corageous. I like the pairing because there was sexual tension even when they were sugarcoated, and now they're bloodcoated the situation leaves a lot of opportunities.

Plus, they look cute AND sexy together. Maybe it's because he's drawn so huge in comparison to her. She seems fragile, he seems protective, and when they're together I see sparks flying. Damn, more fanfic is needed with them.

Did you notice the difference between Aizen and Momo's "last night" together in the manga and the anime?

I saw the anime first, and that's why saw Aizen-Momo as tremendously one-sided. He seemed to care a bit for her, but nothing else. In the Anime, when Momo is worried because Renji's been beaten, she goes to Aizen's room at night to seek comfort. She is dressed in her full shinigami uniform, arm-badge included, and perfectly hairstyled. She is also awake, as if she hadn't gone to sleep yet. When she wakes up, she isn't in a double futon, she sleeps in the floor, and she's been tucked, but with Aizen's robe, not with a blanket.

When she wakes up, she still wears her uniform and her hair is combed. In short, the scene says "nothing happened there", except Aizen being a darling and tucking her for sleep (wasn't he the sweetest guy on all planes of existence when he chose to).

The manga is very different. She gets to his room somewhat drowsy, with hair uncombed, and in what looks like a nightgown (a very chaste one). When we see her sleep, she is sleeping in a double futon (OMG), with hair more or less undone (though she still wears a tail), and pillows scattered. When Momo wakes up, she looks for Aizen. The reading of the scene is completely different. I am reluctant to think there was sex there, because I can't believe Kubo being so cruel as to have those two at sex and not showing us (bad, bad Kubo). But I understand that the people who saw the manga first, must have thought there had been sex there.

Now, what happened there? Do you think Kubo wanted to leave the hint in the manga and it was undertoned in the anime? Do you think Kubo did not want to leave the hint, but realized he had done so unwillingly, and asked the scene to be toned down in the anime, so it was clear that nothing sexual had happened between those two?

I am pro "no sex involved yet", but maybe that's because I saw the scene in the anime first. I guess people who saw the manga first think otherwise.

If they did: Momo has much more reasons to be hysterical the next morning. Between having your boss killed (no matter how much you admire him), and having your lover killed, there's a whole order of magnitude of difference in your right to be royally pissed off. More so if it had been their first night. Hey, work up your ass to be on par with a guy you've loved for fifty years, and when finally you get him, you find him dead the next morning. If that was the case, Hinamori HAD to go hysterics, or I would have thought she was a cold and uncaring hypocrite.

If they didn't: well, then Aizen is maybe a better guy than we thought and thought such an abuse of Hinamori's goodwill was too much. Or maybe he didn't like her because she's not good enough for him. Or maybe he thinks bedding her is like bedding your kitten and it's beneath him.

In short... What do you think about that scene? What on Earth did Kubo mean?

Another funny thing is how censorship sometimes is worse than leaving things alone. It's in volume 12. Just after Renji gets beaten badly, and Byakuya orders him to be imprisoned for having lost a fight. The chapter is... just a moment, I was just re-reading it... OK, chapter 100, "Like the Flower on the Rock Wall", second chapter of volume 12. It's basically the same scene that it is in the anime, only Kubo put Hinamori to sleep in Aizen's double futon, and the imagination of the fans flew off. In the anime, she's perfectly combed, sleeping on the floor, and covered with Aizen's night robe. I think nothing happened there.

I don't believe they ever were lovers, precisely because he treats her as a pet. You don't go to bed with people you consider your inferior (well, at least I don't). You pat your pet in the head, don't have sex with it. And Aizen's displays of affection towards Momo are the same you would give a puppy who's growing into a loyal dog: it's pats in the head, trying to calm her, covering from the cold. I guess the possibility that they had sex is there, but I don't think so. But then again, that's because I saw that scene in the anime first.

I don't think Aizen would have risked his perfect-guy facade for some sex with a girl he (sadly) doesn't respect that much. He not only has to put the good-guy act in front of Hinamori, he has to convince everyone that he's the good guy. Getting your young lieutenant in bed could be seen as abuse of power, authority... and an abuse of Momo's naiveté. I don't think anything happened. But then again, that's me... I understand that the scene, as it's put in the manga, leaves much more space for interpretation.

I'm not that sure... He seems to treat Gin and Tousen with respect. I guess if he accepts somene as a more-than-occasional lover, it will be someone he sees as an equal. Then again, the problem with Hinamori is that he doesn't see her as worthy of him (and she doesn't help by totally agreeing with that). However, Hinamori is not a cat, but an attractive and nubile young woman, men have certain needs, and if a guy has a willing girl who adores him and eats from his hand, he could well take advantage of the situation. But as you said, considering he treats her as you would your kitten, the relationship happens to be, not only embarrassing, but quite sick. But if he wanted happy-ever-afters we'd be going for IchiRuki or IshiHime, right? :D

If you have a look at Aizen's behaviour, there is a great difference between his treatment of people he respects (Gin, Tousen, Ulquiorra, Halibel), and people he doesn't (Grimmjow, for example). I really think that even ambitious as he is, he could love someone he thought to be his peer. Hinamori would have to get rid of lots of insecurity, prove herself his equal, AND believe it, for Aizen to consider her seriously. And that's not likely to happen, at least not soon.

Still, Aizen was self-disciplined enough as to mantain a false image during more than a hundred years. I don't believe he would risk it by bedding Momo, frankly. Heh, I wish, but that's what fanart is for :D And aren't they CUTE in capitals. :)

I just hope they manage to see each other before any of them dies. I really want to see some more of the... weird relationship between those two.

For starters... SEE ICON PLZ. Ookuchi Kengo who plays Aizen is IMO the handsomest guy in the crew,
Better said, he's the handsomest guy in Japan ;) I many times had seen pretty and beautiful Japanese girls and women, but Japanese men had been a sore disappointment until I saw the Bleach musical. Many of the actors are gorgeous, with special mentions to the guys who play Ichigo and Byakuya. But Kengo beats them all, he's gorgeousness personified. And classy, and with delicate features (I just don't like Brad Pitt's style).

and Saitou Kumiko who plays Momo is really cute and camera-shy.
She's even cuter than she looks in the musical. As she tries to sing and act very well, we usually see her face with not-very-attractive expressions, with her mouth too wide (because she's singing really well), or looking sad or astonished. Still, she is cute, but she's prettier than she looks in the musicals.

Both of them's among the best singers in the troupe
I must add they are the BEST singers in the whole musical, at least in the shows I've seen. The best female singer is Kumiko, and by far the best singer of the whole cast. Kengo is the second best singer, and the best one among the males. He has an added advantage of having and impressive stage presence. The guy steals all looks when he appears. He has aura. For example, most of the cast wear their costumes somewhat weirdly, as if they aren't used to them. Kengo wears his captain dress as if he had been wearing it for years, sort of like Peter Ustinov wears his Nero velvet cape: not as a costume, but as we would wear a sportsuit. I don't know how to explain the subtle difference, but Kengo just looks easy and at home in his uniform, and the rest of the cast just doesn't. And he not only looks at ease... he looks impressive, as an Aizen should. He has presence. And isn't that important in an Aizen.

As for gestures, I think the actor who plays Gin is the best one. But he doesn't match Kengo's stage presence. The guy steals the show. frankly, I thought it was impossible to find a guy who could play Aizen believably, but they did.

I think Kengo's totally playing up the Aizen/Momo, especially in Bankai Show (the 'live' show where there's not much story but more songs and dances).
That one includes lots of really funny jokes. Like when Rukia and Hinamori are discussing with Yoruichi because they are sort of ashamed of their breast size and... I laughed out loud with that.

Ikkaku and Kira even get in a little fight over being the closest to Gin. However, Aizen's the only one standing furthest from Gin and closer to Momo (the original formation is left to right Gin-Rangiku-Momo-Hitsu), looking at her and she acknowledge him too, like she's dancing with both Aizen and Hitsu and not Hitsu alone (LOL).
Huh? I hadn't realized that, but I'll have to watch the musical again.

I find that part of what's funny of the musical is the audience reactions. Like, when Ichimaru gets dangerously close to Kira, and it seems there's going to be a romantic scene, and the girls in the public go: KYYYYYYAAAA!!! It's really funny, specially because Japanese girls do their Kyas! so cutely.

Another is during the rehearsal for the last show. There's a song titled Fuyu no Hanabi, sung by Aizen, Momo and Hitsu in the scene of Hitsu's birthday (Bleach omake -12.5). At the end of the song, the three of them pose in front of the stage. He doesn't do this in the actual show, but in one of the rehearsals Aizen stood on his knee next to Momo like he's about to propose. I squeed so much ^.^
