anywayz, i wanted to hear peoples thoughts on this:

i heard from an ichiRuki friend of mine that Ruki and Hime's friendhsip seemed way to forced and more on Ruki's end then Hime's cause Inoue might be showing her jealousy of Ruki.

somehow, i can really doubt this comment because Hime seemed like she relaly wanted to be friend with Ruki at the beginning but Ruki distanced herself because of the whole shinigami things. and i dont really see any signs of Ruki being more friendly with Hime :/

Does your friend happen to hate Orihime? Just curious because that statement about Rukia and Orihime's friendship being forced reminds me of certain Orihime haters who have said as much about their friendship. That Orihime is selfish and fake in her friendship with Rukia, while Rukia is sincere. People seem to ignore the timeline as well when they talk about Orihime being jealous. She told Rangiku that she was jealous of Rukia back in chapter 199. She was jealous, but she also knew it was wrong to think that way (i.e. she wants to get rid of that feeling). Then we got chapter 228 where Rukia and Orihime's friendship got closer. They also spent a whole month in SS together. That's a long time for Orihime to fake a friendship.

I'm guessing people are also saying that just because Rukia said Orihime's name more in the HM arc, she's thinking about Orihime more than Orihime is thinking about Rukia. But Kubo gave us this:

Tell me that part again where Orihime's concern for Rukia isn't sincere? Her reaction beats all the others reactions, IMO. 'Course the haters will just say that Orihime was faking her tears, that those are just crocodile tears. Really? Are they blinded by their hate that much? What's wrong with Rukia and Orihime being close friends? Not only that, per Ukitake, Orihime being a close friend is good for Rukia. It's the first time Rukia opened up to anyone, and Orihime was the one she opened up to.

RukiaxOrihime

The sun twinkles around them in splendid repose as the warm spring air touches their skin, perfuming it with scents of bellflowers and buttercups. Orihime lays on her back, Rukia beside her, their heads touching, hair tangling together and becoming a mess of vivid auburn and raven locks. Rukia's hand finds Orihime's and she laces her fingers between Rukia's, lifting their entwined hands up and giggling as Rukia squeezes a bit.

“What do you think that one looks like?” Orihime asks, her free hand rising and pointing to a cloud.

Rukia's brow furrows, concentrating on the cloud and trying to make out what she sees. “Hmm, it sort of looks like . . . a bunny. A very chubby bunny.”

Orihime's tinkling laugh rings out around them like tiny silver bells and Rukia warms at the sound, squeezing Orihime's hand before placing them back on the grass, keeping their hands clasped together. Orihime's laughter subsides and she turns her face, tilting her head cutely to one side, and looking at Rukia with warmth and curiosity.

“Kuchiki-san, have you ever been kissed?”

Rukia inwardly fumes at the question, giving her answer without saying a single word. Orihime’s face lights up and she rolls onto her side, gently brushing her free hand lightly across her face, each stroke just as gentle as if she were touching a doll made of porcelain. Slowly, she moves closer until their faces are a breath apart. Her fingers trail down Rukia's cheek and her lips press against Ruka's softly. Rukia's face flushes before she allows herself to raise her own hand on Orihime's face and turn it, brushing the back of it against her skin.

Their hands are still weaved together between them as the kiss ends, Orihime beaming happily and Rukia flashing a small smile in return. Rukia's hand runs down Orihime's cheek and she moves her fingers across Orihime's lips, her smile growing at the feel of how soft they are under her fingertips.

“I have now,” she murmurs and leans in once more, kissing Orihime again.

I think that translator made a mistake since she didn't specify who she likes in the sentence, and she'd just mentioned Ichigo that she was talking about Ichigo. But the whole time she was talking about Rukia, so it's assumed that even if she doesn't use a subject, she's still talking about Rukia. Even when she was talking about Ichigo, she was talking about Rukia's affect on Ichigo.

That scene to me shows that Orihime doesn't want her feelings for Ichigo to negatively affect her relationship with Rukia. When it does, she thinks it makes her a bad person, because she should simply be happy that Ichigo feels better. Not be regretting that she wasn't the one who affected him.

That's one thing I love about Bleach is that Kubo really likes to develop the dynamic of a pair, and he makes the RukiHime pair so squishy.

I think Rukia might be the most forward one to confess. Her personality makes me think she'd be the first one to make the move... then again I can see Orihime making subtle hints and moves to try to confess to Rukia.

Probably a walk by the river? I think that would be cute and very fitting. Especially since in the beginning of the series they walked on the sidewalk by that one river. It was a nice scene. :) I really enjoyed it. Then they'd eat cotton candy and hold hands before skipping together.

Ooh man this is a hard one... I guess I could see both girls being equal in affection. They both bring out different sides to one another. :)

I actually don't usually join yuri fanclub, normally the yaoi fanclub......Rukia and Orihime together are the first club I join into. They are so kind, gentle and loving to each other. I felt the emotional attachment between the two girls.

I like how Captain Ukitake said that he was glad to see Rukia finally having a good friend. It just shows that there are someone who acknowledge the bond Orihime and Rukia have and how it positively affects Rukia.

And yes, I'd have to agree manfan, I love the fact that people notice their deep relationship and point it out, and the fact that they realise that the relationship has resulted in positive things. I began to like their relationship after ch 288;), Rukia said exactly what Orihime needed to hear. Orihime seems to look up to Rukia and I believe Rukia sees herself in Orihime from her lonely days in the shinigami academy. They kind of became BFF in just one chapter:XD. I hope we will see more of them in the future

It wasn’t so long ago I noticed this “Hime-“ and “Rukia-hate” , first I thought they were just being funny but some of them actually seem serious:err. I’m not sure if Kubo really cares about bashers, must be pretty annoying though.
