I think, as far as fights go, Rukia is the one who's put the most emotional effort into saving Orihime. Think about it, here's what's left of Kaien, the man she loved and respected, and put on a pedestal above even Byakuya. Even if he was just a shadow of the man, she could have pretended it was Kaien and let him live again. But she didn't, because she knew he wasn't really Kaien and because she needed to save Orihime. Rukia did the thing that broke her heart all over again, both because she wanted to preserve Kaien's memory and because she wanted to save Orihime. That just amazes me.

I am joining, if I haven't already. When Rukia and Orihime meet back up I can totally see Orihime crying and being like 'YOU FOUGHT SO HARD! I LOVE YOU!' and Rukia patting her on the back and saying how happy she is to see her. If that happened, I would be a puddle of squee.
Oh I can't wait for them to see each other again. :crazy At least a big hug should happen and maybe some hand holding for those serious and soft moments. Or a hand to the cheek. But more hugging! :yell And kissing! :yell:yell:yell

Glad you like RukiHime! I do agree that it is the most canon in Bleach. :)

Agree! Even though I'm a huge IchiHime shipper, but with this part I agree a lot. She defeated that Espada and screamed out her reason on why she did. To save Orihime. That made me fall in love even more with Rukia x Orihime when I read the manga. Even when she ways saying, "I will not die until I save her." Oh my gosh. *squees*

I'm positive their reunion will be GREAT! :D

Also just a note: No bashing other pairings in this fc. Thanks. :) I don't think anyone bashed but just incase. ;)

i think when they meet up, this will happen:

Rukia will be all healed and rush over to where she senses Orihime's reisitsu and sees Hime sitting down on the ground shaking. Then when Hime looks up and sees Ruki she will be sooooo happy and start smiled and calling out Ruki's name. Then Ruki will rush over to here (on the way, knocking the injured ichigo out of the way :D) and embrace her lover friend in a caring hug. Then Hime will be like to ichigo "fuck you" then Ruki will pick Hime up and they will run to the horizen with sappy music playing (im sorta watching soap operas at the moment :D)

........ok so maybe im a little crazy and this will NEVER happen, but a full-fledged RukiHime fan would probably say something like this ;)

Rukia just shoving Ichigo out of the way is very believable :D The only thing that'd seem weird to me is Rukia carrying Hime. I can't imagine Rukia carrying anyone bigger than her.

I still think they will hug each other and hold hands. A few tears from Hime too.

You know, I wish Rukia was living with Hime :cry There's enough people in Ichigo's house to keep him company.

I actually think Orihime would carry Rukia... lol

and oh man! That would have been awesome! If Rukia lived over with Orihime... hey! It could happen. I mean, if they were to rescue Orihime then perhaps Rukia would volunteer to stay at Orihime's house to keep her protected. :love

@ AF: Hitsu and Matsu already moved out when Yamamoto called them back did they not? Unless I'm missing something here.

I haven't seen much (if any) moments where Rukia's lifting strength was portrayed. I'm not really sure about it.

@ starry: Yeah, I thought that too. Hime doesn't seem all skin and bones like Rukia. Hime carrying Rukia would just be easier.

That's a good idea, having Rukia protect Hime. :D They can spend more time together! Remember the scene where Matsu comforted Hime? If only that was Rukia instead of Matsu! :cry :cry

Really? When did Rukia carry Ichigo? Dragging his body or Ichigo collapsing in Rukia's arms don't really count. (not much lifting involved here cause most of the weight is on the ground)
When I think of carrying, I always think that no body part is touching the ground.

As for Matsu and Hitsu, they did leave. They MIGHT come back to Hime's house but they did get called back to the Soul Society. I can't remember if they left any equipment back in Hime's house. (Maybe that giant tv screen?)

Btw, I love the fanarts! :D LOL, there's a hentai manga in there :lmao Not 1 kissing picture?? :O

Strangely enough, I never have seen any RukiHime doujinshi. Mostly only MatsuHime and ChizuHime. I have never seen Rukia in any sort of yuri doujin. :cry

I finally got around to translating a bit of what's on that sample page of that doujinshi:

Orihime: Because you're my friend... Because I admire (love, like you a huuuge amount) you...

And then she says something about Rukia's eyes, but the other kanji is a bit too small to read. I used 'admire' in the sentence above because she used 'daisuki' which can be read as deep admiration, like, or sometimes even love. Take your pick. :D

See, I had this HUUUGE post about it earlier in this thread, but I'll say it again. Since 'suki' means 'I like you' and 'daisuki' combines the kanji for big and like, it means liking a whole lot. But on the other hand, saying something like 'kimi o suki' is usually translated as 'I love you' when it's between a boy and girl. 'Daisuki' is also used for love confessions, but stronger ones. 'Aishiteiru' actually seems to be rarely in use nowadays (the literal 'I love you'), except for by more mature people, I think. So using 'daisuki' to mean love or deep admiration isn't that much of a stretch. :D

my reasons for liking rukihime (because i can tell you all want to know):

i feel that rukia can understand orihimes feeling better than ichigo and most other characters (tatsuki is the only other one)

and rukia has also been in orihimes current situation (captured and such), and that will definetly bring them closer

I think their relationship is very sweet. From their first meeting up to now, they have really developed a close relationship with one another. I think its because Inoue has always tried her best to make Rukia feel like she was home whenever she would come there. And agreed, Rukia is perhaps the best person to understand Inoue's feelings and situation right now. They really did become each other's support during the time they were training for the arrancar battle. Perhaps its this reason that Rukia's determination to save Inoue seemed to outshine everyone elses, IMO.

@ StarryInoueSky, LOL. It would be sweet to have Rukia staying at Inoue's house. I can only imagine what would be going on there.

I agree so much with your comment! Orihime was trying to make Rukia feel at home and comfortable. And I agree about her determination. I take it as Orihime being Rukia's first friend that's a girl who is close to her. So Orihime is a precious friend to Rukia and doesn't want to lose her or have anything happen to her. That's also another source of the determination, in my opinion.

Well seeing as Rukia 'touched' Orihime's boob in the beginnings of the story, I'm sure it wouldn't take long before other mischiefs began... XD

From a quick read-through, the plot basically seems like this.

Rukia and Orihime are training. It begins to rain. Orihime stands in the rain for a while. There's a big conversation about the rain, and Rukia says something about not having many friends. Cue Orihime hugging Rukia and saying "You're my friend!" and Rukia smiles. The rain stops and they continue to train, and Orihime says something about how Rukia is always so cool. The end!

ya no, i was reeeeeally squeling in the last episode (160) were Rukia was thinking to her self as she was dieing that she knew how Orihime felt, being trapped and the happiness of her friends coming for her

right then and there, i pointed out that Rukia is the only one who understands Hime position, there for the only one who can really save her ^^

i :cry when she was like 'Inoue, Im on my way' and collapsed!! i was like "NOOOOOO!!!! RUKIA GET UP!!!! SHE NEEDS YOU!!!!"

it was beutiful when orihime was crying when she sensed Rukia's reisitsu weakining in this episode (161)

It is truly amazing! I like it. It's so emotional too! I actually teared up during Rukia's little speech in the manga. I didn't in the anime but the first time I read it I did. It was so sad and you could definitely feel/see the strong emotions/feelings from each girl to each other.

lolz i really hope so :p i strongly belive that Rukias one purpose is still to save Hime.i no Bleach is a shonen anime and all, but theres obviouse shojo as well!! just putting purely shonen in the chapter is gonna turn Bleach boring.and ya, i think thats wats happening.

hehe oh don't worry Arf-san...we should have complete faith that these two will be super happy to see each other again after they meet up. Inoue always wears her heart on her sleeves and Rukia has been shown to also get super emotional if the situation arises, so I am sure they will have a very sweet reunion. And yes, its because her entire purpose for being there is to save Inoue. She understands Inoue's situation, since she has been there herself. And of course, there are shojo elements weaved here and there. After all, the girl talk on the rooftop was a very wonderful bonding for Rukia and Inoue, who I'm pretty sure never really had a chance to talk about such personal things. And it was a great way for them to start understanding each other without one of the gang members barging in (well, technically one did in the end *sigh*)

ya, its obviouse that she cares about saving hime then removing the pain of killing Kaine from her consious. that shows that their relationship is a little more deeper then her realtionship with Kaine :eek: which is shocking cause she had been carring the burden for years and then she finally has a chance to lift it, but denies the chance cause she needs to save Hime. the girl talk was also very sweet.Rukia was so pissed at Urahara and pissed at Hime for beliving that she cant fight. and then thats when Hime started to cry and Ruki pushed the tears away and i was like "YESSSS!!!" also, in episode 161, it also proved that Ruki is the only one who can connect to Hime's position right now!!

I don't think her relationship with Hime really makes her relationship with Kaien any less. She was willing to give her life to him in exchange that she would get to at least do what she came there to do, which was to save Hime. After that, who knows what Rukia would have done. But yes, I think her relationship with all of her nakamas have gotten to the point that even Rukia wanted to step aside the chance to alleviate her guilt in order to go help Hime. And YESH, tis Rukia that is perhaps the only one that understands Hime's true potential and that Hime isn't one that always needs to be protected...she can protect just as well :yell

u no something that pissed me off?? thers a dub on youtube called "whos strawberry - Rukia & Orihime" or something like that and it was that scene when they were sitting on the roof top, talking about wat Urahara said. someone dubbed it that Orihime and Rukia were fighting over who ould have Ichigo and Hime was talking bout her feelings towards Ichi but Ruki got mad and was like "no! hes my strawberry! u think he would like someone like u?". now, i ship IchiRuki but that has to be the worst parody i have ever seen. it wasnt even funny and it ruined one of the most touching scenes in Bleach. i cant belive it was accepted. but then again, it was created by some immature IchiRuki shipper. u no, peeps like that person really make me question if i want to continuse shipping IchiRuki....

my dear, to be fairly honest, there are people like this from all sides. I have seen such things from either side, so I never even bother trying to understand it. You should seriously not base your pairing preferences based upon such antics because you will be going back and forth. Choose who you love based on what YOU think, not because of the actions of others.

Rukia really does care about Orihime a lot. I think it's comparable to when Orihime said she had a one-sided sympathy for Ichigo, except I think Orihime and Rukia have a mutual sympathy, knowing what it's like to live with the worry of not knowing if you're gonna die tomorrow. I swear, Rukia may just charge straight in once she finds out where Orihime is.

They were friends before, but it was more along the lines of how everyone else was for the girls. But now they are developing their own form of friendship that only they share.

Yeah. >__> Ichigo was actually with her and then he lost her. If Rukia found out, I can imagine her hitting him again.

I suppose Rukia would go alone if she had to. I mean, what could possibly change her mind? Nothing. Even after her battle with Aaro, she wanted to keep going.

About their friendship, I'd give it some time. Their relationship now is obviously much stronger than it was before. Can you just imagine what they'll be like 2 arcs from now? Yeah, there's just lots of patience involved.

Perhaps some people don't realise that these two lovely girls care deeply for each other or perhaps they simply skipped over and missed the lovely interactions between the two in the manga? Especially the manga chapter where Rukia gets mad at Urahara for saying to Orihime that she has no use (I can't remember what chapter #). I especially :love that chapter for the fact that Rukia is able to show Orihime that she is important and that there's no need for her to accept the feeling that she's just a burden. Rukia helps her to realise that accepting this is wrong because no matter what people say, Orihime is not that, which to me shows that Rukia deeply cares for Orihime and has never considered her to be someone that holds everyone back or someone that can't do anything. Rukia's words are so :love

At least that's my interpretation and hopefully I'm making sense. ;)

Nevertheless, i think you really made sense, Erre. I hate that people are depicting the non-existing rivalry in fanfictions. It didnt exist, and never will. I love how Rukia is adamant in getting Orihime back, and how she actually tried her darndest to save her because she understood her. Comparing to Loly and Menoly who beat Orihime out of jealousy, Rukia's affection is godsent. The girl is being treated unfairly. People ostracize her for her hair, and people stigmatize her for being pretty. Even Ukitake noted that Rukia made a great friend.

I also love how Orihime is practically Rukia's first female friend. She needs someone who's tenderly loving her for who she is, respecting and admiration. I love how she's propagating Kaien-ism by guiding and supporting Orihime. In fact, Rukia reacted the strongest among the shinigami present to save her. They both need each other - and it's a healthy relationship for both i will say :love

fly - Of course, Rukia's first female friend has to be Orihime! Because as you said, Rukia is the one who will help guide Orihime and support through her times of trouble. And of course she reacted strongly to Orihime's kidnapping because Rukia understands the feelings that Orihime is enduring during her time of being kidnapped and also because she has made a strong bond with Orihime during the time that she has gotten to know her. It's not just this, it's also because Rukia can really understand Orihime and her feelings and knows how to help bring Orihime back to a positive state of mind (as shown when Rukia was telling Orihime that she wan't a burden). She knows how to keep Orihime grounded is what I think, and I really love this part of the relationship, that they have a bond like this, if you can understand what I'm saying :sweat.

Part of the bond they share is when they were connected by similar experiences. Even if they arent by same circumstances, it's how they were caught against their wills that caught my attention. And the bond actually was forged before Rukia knows that she will be Aizen's target. And this is the proof that the bond strengthened during her capture, because Rukia knows how is it like, and she mentioned it herself the pains and complications that one's heart suffers. It's a pain that nobody understood, even not the main rescuer. In fact to say the least, Ichigo even served as the main rescuer, or the captain never actually understood how either Rukia or Orihime felt as the captive. Look at how Rukia's whole fight was actually illustrated in Orihime's mind. Kubo is so sadistic, he had to make Aaro an Espada with such abilities to torture Orihime :cry

Orihime fell apart largely because she had her eyes on the fight the whole time, and that shs is indeed watching her getting beaten, impaled...seeing her all helpless and being able to do nothing hurts Orihime. If slapping Ulquiorra is is her first sign of retaliation, her banging on the door asking to get to her is probably the first sign of her defiance for Aizen. She could claim that Aizen owns her, but her heart was with her friends. and i'm glad that it was Rukia who made it happen. Even when Ichigo fell, she was simply there, shocked, in the aftermath of realizing the fallen nakamas. Rukia's condition made her forget the futility and charged straight to the invincible door. That's true love i tell you :cool:

But even Orihime was disgusted at her own jealousy towards Rukia. And even after admitting her jealousy and saying how repulsed she was at herself for it, she said how much she liked Rukia (from the translation I read) and didn't want to feel jealousy towards this person that she really admired and cared about. For people to bring that up is just nonsense and pointless and they obviously disregarded the lines that Orihime said after she announced her jealousy. The jealousy she held afterall was only because she had the inability to do something that Rukia could at that time (because Orihime just couldn't see that her injury was what was upsetting Ichigo and her trying to cheer him up wouldn't work because it was coming from her, the one who was hurt anyways so of course she would be telling Ichigo to not worry -- that's what Ichigo would have been thinking. So to have an outside source cheer him up by kicking him in the head would make more sense rather than the person that he believed that he had failed.) Can't people understand Orihime's resentment towards her own jealousy at that time? That's one of the things that bothers me.

Orihime's admiration for Rukia reminds me of Rukia's admiration for Miyako: seeing her as a beautiful, kind and strong person. Except the Rukia and Miyako relationship seemed very distant, and RukiHime is much closer. I think, in a way, Rukia is Orihime's Kaien. She's her mentor and friend, someone she truly admires.

They really have a beautiful bond. :wtf

I believe, personally, that Orihime and Rukia's friendship bond is stronger then any one elses. they understand each other better then others, and they can relate very well. they are similar in so many ways then one that its like their real sisters! like u guys said, Orihime was Rukia's first girl friend and they got along very well from the start. they clicked just like that, though Rukia was a little distant at first (u cant blame her, she wasnt even sure she should stay in the human world or report to SS about her position). in HM, i feel Rukia put more of her heart and soul into saving Orihime. she even denied to remove her greif of Kaine's death when she believed A.A. was Kaine. that shows true strength and a bond with a character on like any other ;) i dont the Orihime could see Rukia, but she sensed her. Banging on the door was the only time she showed that she wanted out to see Rukia. did she do that when she sensed Chad dieing?? no, not really. Did she do anything when she sensed Ichigo dieing?? no not really either. i believe her bond with Ruki is stronger then her bond with her friends that shes known the longest!!

adding on: when people attack RukiHime by saying Orihime was jealous of Ruki the whole time, i get disgusted and throug their words right back at them by saying she was very disgusted with herself for being jealous. jeez, some people >.>.....

Whoa, thanks Arrancar_Fan and Rain (although I don't think I deserve praise since I write crack anyway), I totally agree with your points. Rukia at first was unsure about starting a relationship with Orihime but as we can see from the series' progression, Rukia has really warmed up to Orihime's idea of friendship and has now come to the point where she has a strong bond with Orihime because she can understand what she may be feeling but she also knows how to resolve any hurting that Orihime may be feeling. But my favourite RukiHime interactions would of course include the chapter where Rukia told Orihime she wasn't a burden and the chapter for the conclusion of the SS arc where Orihime hands Rukia the dress, completely misunderstanding the reasons behind Ishida's work. Not only because it was humourous, but because Orihime really showed her character here to Rukia and even though Rukia was slightly knocked off balance because things Orihime say at times are just so LOL-worthy, it's also because Orihime was treating her so casually like she were already a close girl friend. I also love the couple for the fact that Rukia is one of the few people that Orihime can confide in, which shows real meaning to me, that the fact that Orihime is able to open up to Rukia so easily is proof of a strong bond to me. :cool:

Kisuke is the man who gave her a body to stay in while living in the real world. without it, she would have died out (as i recall). so now shes saying she will never forgive the man that saved her just cause he didn't want Hime in the war!!! now that is saying something. u can tell her relationshop with Inoue is much stronger then her other relationships. Inoue was the last thing on her mind before she collapsed from the fight with A.A and yes, the last pic we saw (in the anime) of her thinking of her friends was Ichigo, but her last sentence/thought was 'I'm coming....Inoue'

Once again Arrancar_Fan, a good point you have brought up. Her reaction to Urahara's words causing her to say that she'll "never forgive him" can show her bond growing stronger with Orihime (although her opinion with Urahara would've changed a lot anyways after finding out that he had singled her out to stick the Hougyoku in her :p)

But don't forget about the last manga pic we saw of Rukia where she was wondering about Orihime's safety. :love During the whole of Aizen's talk and this is all she thinks about. Orihime has really become important to her and for Kubo to show her saying this rather than her freaking out about the revelations Aizen was presenting, means something to me. Rukia's mind is filled with Orihime. :inlove

I think Inoue is someone who can befriend pretty much anyone. Her personality is such, that its almost impossible, if not to at least become friends, but to really appreciate her and her qualities. I think Inoue and Rukia always had a friendship ever since the SS arc, but it just that they didn't really have anything to strengthen such a bond. Up until the scene on the roof of course. So far, Inoue has always shown a sweet, bubbly self in front of Rukia. So when Rukia gets to see the more vulnerable side of Inoue, it really touches her heart and the two get a chance to really communicate and find that both are pretty much in the same position, or at least were at one point. Rukia understands Inoue's helplessness at being considered a 'burden', and she tells her what she herself was told...that Inoue is not a burden, and that given time, others will realize that. I think once Rukia and Inoue came to that understanding, their friendship began to become stronger. Because they found something that really connected them on a level that they didn't share with the others.

They agreed to be each other's strength, and to help one another become stronger so that they could prove to those who doubted them that they were very capable of being beside the rest on the battlefield.

Welcome, Fly! :D Thanks for joining! I love reading all of your great posts along with Errechan! Sorry I'm not very active anymore! But I try to visit once in a while. ^^ I'll be updating the members list after this post!

I did notice that in the beginning, Rukia did try to have her distance from Inoue along with the rest of the Earth people because of the whole shinigami thing, but after they rescued her and showed her what true friends were, Rukia welcomed friendship with open arms. (wow, what a long sentence... XD) I think from then on she allowed to get closer to Orihime (as well as the rest of the guys) and I think that seeing as Orihime is her first real best friend as a girl, Rukia has learned to cherish that friendship/bond. That is why her feelings on saving Orihime are so strong. Because she cherishes it so much and wants to do anything she can to protect her precious friend. Same with Inoue, Rukia has come pretty close next to Tatsuki and being Orihime, she suffers seeing what her friends are going through... especially when she thinks it's her fault or something. Though I don't think Orihime has ever said it was her fault... has she? I don't think so... I could be wrong though.

RukiHime tag team would be great! It would be a nice surprise. ^^

Oh my, I forgot about the fillers having possible RukiHime moments to cherish! :wtf Hopefully you're right Starry and not only do we get some more RukiHime interaction but scenes that will actually show how strong their bond is and really show how far they've come in the development of their relationship since the beginning of the series.

Maybe we'll get an episode like in the Bounto filler arc where Rukia was possessed and fought Orihime but Orihime being herself couldn't bring herself to fight Rukia and simply embraced her and healed her of her possession. That particular scene, I simply loved. :love I'm not saying we should get an episode in this filler exactly like that, but I'd like to see some RukiHime interaction that would show like in that scene how much they value each other. ;)

But really, I'd love to see some RukiHime interaction in this filler and if it means and girl's night out, I'm all for it. :love Or if it involves Rukia and Orihime together looking after that Filler girl, or whatever, I don't care what it is a long as there's a scene of them together or working together, I'll be satisfied. And also, I'm sure that showing such a scene will help to show other people that there is a strong bond between Rukia and Orihime and that both are effective in contributing to their relationship which seems to be growing stronger every time Kubo shows them together. Such a scene would help to reinforce their relationship and show how much the two have developed in reference to each other.

But as you said, yes, any scene with them together in it will have me happy. :inlove And already proven in the previous filler arc, the Bounto arc, is the fact that Pierrot does recognise and acknowledge the strong bond that Orihime and Rukia have and how much it has developed since the first time they established their relationship. So I can't wait to see what Pierrot Studio may have in stall for us in these fillers. And I wouldn't mind if they had a simple episode or scene of Orihime cooking for Rukia. ;)

Methinks if that ever happened Orihime would have so much love for Rukia who she already respects and admires anyway. I think that would give us more reason for canon, even if it were anime! :love

omg, u read my mind :wtf IVE ALWAYS WANTED A RUKIHIME TAG TEAM MORE THEN ANYTHING!!!! (yes, its true, more then any thing else, including a meeting between other pairings!!! RukiHime is my number one OTP!!!!)

i hope SP (Studio Pierrot) give us wat we want :love. i swear i will love them forever, even if they mess up on any other scenes, if they would just put more and more RukiHime scenes >.<!!!
