Well...I'll start...My favourite character is Gintoki, and my favourite pairing is Okita x Kagura, and I like Gintama because its randomness helps me take my mind of heavy, angsty things!

Actually I do have a question about Gintama though. I've been wanting to get into it for awhile now, but I've been wondering about one thing. How different are the anime and manga from each other? I haven't read any of the manga yet, but I watched the first episode of the anime (and then I found it out that it was anime-original). Does the anime cover a lot of the manga story, or does it mostly do its own thing?

I haven't watched the anime, on the other hand. But I think it starts off on the same track. I don't think there are that many fillers, if at all.

I've moved this thread since the general anime/manga section is only for "general" stuff about anime and manga. Here we can talk about Kintama, lol. As you can see from my ava and siggy i'm also a big Gintama fan. My fav char is Kagura, she's soo innocent and cute :D

@Peach: They are the same., though Ep1 was indeed Anime only to show the manga readers some innovation, but the following eps are featuring the manga content :)

Kagura says some pretty wrong things at times XD Arrghh I love all of the three mains. And Okita and Katsura. And...dammit, I love everyone in Gintama. They all have something lovable about them. This is pretty rare for a manga nowadays.

I love Gintama. It's so freaking hilarious I hurt my stomach because of laughing too hard. I especially find the hospital part, with the syringes funny to boot! :lmao

Maybe we should start watching the anime since we can't get a hold of the manga.. plus I've heard that the anime is hilarious (Not that I had a doubt or anything :nuts) XD!
