Part of his bangs falls between his eyes, and he has distinctively thick eyebrows. He has teal lines which descend from the lower part of his eyes. His facial expression rarely changes, though he is almost always frowning. He wears typical Arrancar clothes: a white jacket, black sash, and a white hakama. Interview/Facts:
Q: "...We do not know where Zommari's rank number is located. What about it?"
A: I didn't think of it (laugh). I only think of it when the character will show his/her rank number (laugh)

Q: "Like the part where Ulquiorra showed his rank number?"
A: "I was thinking of the best place to put (the rank number) according to the scene, and if that place is right for that character. I've imagined it according to the last part of volume 27's poem: "The 5th lies in where the heart is" <- this part, and the fact that Ulquiorra's number is in where his heart is. Though I have forgotten on which I decided on first.

- Ulquiorra was the first arrancar sensei created, he was created even before the concept of "Espada" was born.. this made Ulquiorra and Yammi as the first espada that been created.

Hello! Now, I get to admin what I do best: talk about Ulquiorra all day, every day! Hehe.


What do you like about Ulquiorra?
Literally everything. The way he puts his hands in his pockets (the same hands that had refused to hold a heart), his forest green eyes, his loose black hair, his posture, his lean muscles, even his height...!
Oh and his personality is very intriguing.
Did you like him at first appearance?
Nope. I actually didn't. I just thought of him like "Oh another bad guy shows up".

If you could ask Tite Kubo one question about him, what would it be?
I'd like him to answer just as he did for Ichimaru Gin's death confirmation. "Turned to ashes" isn't enough! And I know he knows that! Or else he'd say respond to the question about Gin's death something like "He got stabbed" or "Was left bleeding".

He gained a heart in the end! Do you think this altered his fate?
I honestly have no idea. I'm not going to keep my hopes up though so I won't be disappointed.
But if it DID alter his fate, I guess he would go... to Soul Society?

Well I don't think Plus souls have a "hiatus" period where their soul doesn't exist. So maybe he's stuck in the Precipice World (limbo) or already lost in Soul Society!

I'd ask him if Ulqui is really dead or if the ash was a symbolism that indicates that he might come back later (maybe he is unsure himself and "build himself a bridge" with the ashes?)

I wish to think so but looking back t what he did I think he is considered evil and not "fit" for SS...even though evil depends on the PoV. For me SS is more cruel than the Espada's but thats another story.

Ah, but Ulquiorra did say that he couldn't regenerate his internal organs...
Judging by the huge chunk of body that was missing, I'm going to assume he was missing a kidney, pancreas, stomach...

That makes me respect him more though. ;A;
Guy was missing half his body and he stood there, straight as a pole, and used his last bit of energy to understand Orihime. No signs of pain...

But I assume he turned to ashes not because he was in pain (?), but because he ran out of spiritual energy. It's never happened to anyone else before so... I don't know.

I have no doubt that Grimmjow will at least mention Ulquiorra! And/or Orihime is reminded of him...
It's just set up too perfectly with Orihime in HM and now Grimmjow being there~ I hope there will be a confirmation about Nnoitra too.

as for what i like about Uliquiorra, he is rather bold when it comes to is remarks as to why Ichigo does what he does, but he is still one with a mind to figure out reasoning, i like that about him!

also of the espada, i could relate to him the most, since we both require reasoning for most things

Depressing when you say it like that. XD
That he received the short end of the stick even though he had a chance of becoming nakama (or at least neutral) while Ichigo gets resurrected twice (yeah yeah main protagonist blah blah). Well at least with this ending, he was able to make an impact on all of us. The only people I can think of who weren't affected by his 'death' are those IchiHime shippers who think he was in the way...? Or those people who completely misunderstood the situation. -_- Heartless... (no pun intended)

Ulquiorra looks the coolest when he's fighting against Ichigo in the Fifth Tower zzz. So composed and lean and smart... His fighting style was so cool!

In comparison to like every other Bleach character who looks like they are constipated when they are fighting, it's a nice break. LOL.

I love just about everything about him. My favorite coloring is black hair/green eyes. :) I love his appearance, how he is so calm and cool when fighting... I love his release form and his Secunda Etapa (I adore his prehensile tail sooo much :o ). I love his logic and his personality and especially his loyalty to Aizen. I love his intelligence and intellect and the way Aizen trusts him with his most delicate operations.

And I especially love the way he interacts with Orihime... ;) although this isn't a pairing FC so I won't talk about that.

Personally, I hate his butt fluff, but his wings are gorgeous! And so awesome to see in battle! And dat tail. Kinky.

Apparently if Ulquiorra were still available, Kubo would have teased him/used him as comic relief just as he does with Toushiro. I would have loved to see that.

When Ulquiorra made 10th place for the Bleach Popularity Poll, Kubo drew a little comic of the character's reactions to their placement and though Ulquiorra's drawing was small, he looked "chibified" like how Orihime looks when she's having a cute moment. >w<

And that horn on his mask looks like an animal ear sometimes. At first I thought it was a weird design and I wasn't really attracted to it, but now I feel like it's totally a part of him and I wouldn't have it any different (except off. his hair would be gorgeous).

I tend to draw him without his tear marks too oops.
Fortunately, he still looks uniquely Ulquiorra without both of those things!
I'm so glad Kubo designed Ulquiorra so uniquely (at least with the hair and height). He was his first Espada anyway~
I wonder what gave Kubo the idea of making him "young" though. Maybe to contrast against Ichigo, but clearly that was what Grimmjow was for...

You mean like ugly in appearance? Well, there is a saying "you don't (shouldn't) discuss the likings". I think it just depends on personal liking. I of course love how he looks like.

What may be scaring people off is probably his lack of colors. I mean pale skin, tearmarks, black lips... Kinda like some metal bands :p

HAHA! This made me smile. Yes, I hear this a lot from the male fandom. It's intriguing; Ulquiorra being the one character most boys can relate to. Ulquiorra - not Ichigo. But I guess figures like Aizen and Ichigo are the characters people want to be.

Another interesting fact from me: Even though GIFs of him reaching out to Orihime on Tumblr got me into Bleach, I never once thought he was unattractive. Note that this was the first appearance of Ulquiorra that I kept seeing.
Now, that I know the story, I can see what people mean when they call him ugly or plain or "like a dead fish" (-cry-)
but those eyes!!!!!! I think it's his eyes that got me. So different and pure; full of sadness rather than emptiness.

Personally, I don't know how anyone couldn't like those eyes! >.<

Honestly, I think the fanbase will be in an uproar. It's been... 3 years since his death? I think that's plenty of time to get over the "Oh it will make his death scene meaningless" excuse.
Plus his strength/powers could be useful.... assuming he's still a Hollow lol.

But even if he became human or something else, he'd be living proof of what happens when a Hollow regains their heart which is a question Kubo has yet to answer.

Not necessarily. I mean, if Ichigo will see that Arrancars can be allies now (like almost confirmed Grimmjow with Urahara), he may see/ask what are his intentions first.
And another thing is, correct me if I'm wrong, Ichigo doesn't have any reason to attack him except the fact they were in different "teams". He didn't really hurt Orihime, he kidnapped her because he got such order and Kurosaki probably saw her reaction when Ulquiorra was dying. So I just don't see Ichigo jumping on him with all hate immediately 'cause he has no real reason to.

But honestly, I'm one of those fans who of course would enjoy his come back but don't believe in it and don't see any logic in it. I mean it was said that hollows turn to dust and he did. If he comes back, that means there's really no death in Bleach just Gin is so hated by Kubo :cry

Agreed. I think Ichigo is more likely to jump on Grimmjow than Ulquiorra since Grimmjow is a little more... aggressive? (he did pierce a hole through him AND Rukia whereas Ulquiorra only harmed him)

And lol poor Gin... Geez. And even more pity for Rangiku. But I still think it's a stupid reason to die for (he could've just STAYED with her omfg. She never asked for cold revenge).

Anyway, I've already accepted his death. In fact, a lot of us have. But it's always good fun to keep hoping.
I love how in Kubo's interview when he was asked if the ex-Espada would be comrades, that he immediately mentioned Ulquiorra lol. So that could/might mean that Kubo considered Ulquiorra to turn into a good guy if he were alive? It's the basic fanfiction. LOL.

In that case, I can see where you're getting at. Seems a little... cliche though. You can imagine how many people would be rolling their eyes lol. As much as I would love to see Ulquiorra back IMMEDIATELY, I also don't mind the suspense.... I guess. They are still in HM after all. He's got some time to show up it seems. If Kubo decides that.

That applies to Hollows who do or do not gain a heart. Ulquiorra (and maybe Starrk and Nnoitra?) were the ones who regained a sense of humanity.

But Ulquiorra was the only one killed by another Hollow. Indirectly I guess. He wasn't exactly purified. Unless you count when Hollow!Ichigo cut off his arm. But I think you have to be a Shinigami to go through the process anyway.
We have no idea what Kubo did with him and his ashes tbh. >.> Like did he just run out of spiritual power? So why did he die so dramatically that way and how?? LOL.

There IS a chance for him to end up in SS though.
