So if Aizen wanted to make a shinigami/hollow hybrid, did he use the hogyoku on himself and Tousen and Ichimaru? And if he did wouldnt that make them Vizard?

That's just one of the things he wants to do. He's going beyond that point and into the royal dimension to become God

So in the end, he will be unbeatable. It's not like he isn't already lol.

There's no proof in the manga that Aizen, Gin, and Tousen use the hougyoko on themselves. I think IF Aizen did use it on himself and/or his 2 buddies, it would make them vaizards instead of arrancars because they were shinigamis already BEFORE attaining hollow abilities/powers.

i really wonder if aizen didn't already use it on himself.. i mean, could a mere shinigami captain be strong enough to scare an arrancar of the espada with just his reiatsu? :X i have my doubts... >________________>;;;;;;;;;;;;

Yea same here... sure they say azien has reached the point where he cant become any stronger being a shinigami alone, but he can litrally wop the floor with everyone, espada, vaizard, everyone, and these are all people who have the mixed ability of hollow AND shinigami. He must of used it by now if he was wanting to get stronger.

I don't think he'd turn into a Vaizard if he used the power of the Hougyoku on himself 'cause appearently a Shinigami can became a Vaizard without it . Ichigo is technically a Vaizard and he became all on his own so to speak. Just like ezxx said, I think he's trying to go to a level beyond Vaizard and Arrancar .

Ichigo gained the power of hollow by rejecting himself from becoming one, instead of the hollow controlling him while getting his shinigami ability back, he controlled it, thus the horse and king story from Shorosaki and his hollow transformation as he fought shirosaki.

But no, he wouldn't become a Vaizard, because he forced it upon himself and probably wont need to fight it like ichigo and the rest had to fight theirs for ownership of the thrown. Ichigo didnt ask for a hollow side, its was basically a mistake... but Aizen craves the power from it, he's probably more Arracar than anything if he has used it. Besides, after seeing how much ichigo has grown by using his mask, he's bound to be wanting to use it for him self but cant because it needs to awaken.

Aizen can't be a arrancar, because by definition they are hollows who have shed their masks and sealed their true forms into a zanpaktou. He would be a vaizard though his method of getting there would be different than ichigo's since he would be a shinigami with a mask from using the hogyoku on himself, unless McDoogle, you are suggesting their is a third option since his method is different

Well a vaizard is someone who has unwilling gained the ability of a hollow aswell as shinigami and has defeated it in battle to gain control of it/ the mask. Aizen will be using Hougyoku on him self to gain the opposite power, just like he did with the arracar. And i said that he is closer to being a arracar than a vaizard, not that he IS one.

Really, there is no one who has done his methods before so there will be no name for it.

As pointed out above, there's nothing that says he hasn't used it on himself, Gin and or Tousen. But typically, evil overlords would not use any untested methods on himself before trying it on some disposable underling/captive. Also, Aizen is arrogant and he might think that he is already (much?) more powerful than captain-level, he doesn't need to modify his body to be stronger. Fighting power is not his goal, after all.

fighting power isn't his goal? im not sure if it said this in the manga but in the anime at least he said that he had achieved the limits of all 4 types of combat and that breaking the barrier between hollow and shinigami was the only way to surpass those limits with infinate potential for growth, which makes sense since ichigo seems to only get stronger and stronger exponentially

I'm betting he hasn't used it, only because once he does he'll be that much stronger (and power-ups are so important in shonen manga)

About his actual power, there's no need for him to be a vaizard to kneel Grimmjow. We already know that he have twice as much the reiatsu of a standard shinigami captain. Using that reiatsu directly against someone that doesn't want to fight back.. is damn heavy :D

So, I think he didn't use the Hogyoku on himself yet,
but just because it isn't fully awakened.

When that moment comes (maybe at the end of this HM arc.. maybe involving Orihime) he'll use it on himself, and most probably Gin and Tosen too.

Making them Vaizard.
An arrancar is a hollow that gains shinigami powers.
A vaizard is a shinigami that gains hollow powers.
There's no mistake, they will be vaizard.

Obviously, "Vaizard" as the hybrid race name,
nothing to do with "Vaizard" as the name of that group of people living in Karakura.

So, yeah.. we'll probably see Aizen mask someday ;)

Well, there really is no discussion here. Only mass amounts of speculation. :/ The opening post is pretty simple and can have simple answers that everyone can agree on. 1. We don't know if he used it on himself or his teammates and 2. Yes that would make him a Vizard. There we go.

Closed for lack of... anything. :nuts
