Jushiro Ukitake is one of my favorite characters (sheesh, his first name is part of my name on here!!), and I didn't even know he had an FC, but I'm glad he does. Also, I'd like to modify my current avatar to include a picture of Ukitake in my avatar, but I want to keep the pic of Ichigo too. Any ideas on how I can do this???

I think that eventually Ichigo is going to be one of Jushiro Ukitake's proteges. Ukitake did help out Ichigo in his rescue of Rukia, and it was Ukitake who gave Ichigo his deputy soul reaper's badge. So, I have to think that Ukitake will become more involved with Ichigo at some point. I don't know what Ukitake thinks of Ichigo being a Vaizard though.

That is a good point, Jushiro. It does seem that Ukitake rates Ichigo rather highly. Probably after he tried so hard to save Rukia, his subordinate.

Also at Captain's meetings for fillers Ukitake is always sticking up for Ichigo :amuse I know it is fake coz of filler but still nice to see.

Ukitake I don't think would mind that Ichigo is a V. He was always so kind to Hirako Taicho and Rose Taicho and stuff so it should be cool. I think he will accept all the Vs seeing as it was Aizen's betrayel that led to their predicament in the first place.

Of course he'll understand. It's hard to resist Ukitake's personality.
I wonder how can such guy exist(he actually doesn't). He is always putting other's interests above his own, he does what he thinks is right and he is just extra kind and lovable.

Ichigo in Ukitake's division sounds very cute. They can eat candies along with Hitsugaya. I think that I'll melt when I see that.

Ukitake reminds me of Hime in some ways now that I think about it. Not in fighting or power aspects, but when it comes to not serious stuff. They are both happy-go-lucky, they both grin a lot and well, their love for food is veeery similar.

I think that Ukitake has to be in equal power, if not more powerful than Stark. I love Stark, simply cause he is hot, but for sure, Ukitake will pwn him. I can't imagine Uki fighting anyone else.....

You know LUV, I always had the impression that Ukitake alone can deal with Stark, but I think that he´s only used to fight in a team - with Shunshui, obviously. I dunno, I have this idea, probably because they fought against Yama-jii in SS arc, but I still think that a team against Stark would be a good match.

Just because both Ukitake-chan and Stark are old doesn't mean they are equal. If that was the case, Yoruichi and Komamura are equal but honestly they are cat and a dog xD and not equal But both old Shinigamis or whatever they are..
Ukitake is happy-go-lucky and I can't picture Stark like this.

Seems that I´ve hit the bullseye, when I said that Ukitake and Shunshui would make team against Stark :wha I was kinda expecting this, to be honest.

So, I bet that Ukitake´s opponent will be Lili and Kyoraku will fight against Stark. Or it will be Uki x Stark and Shunshui x Lili (because we all know how Shunshui loves women :fu ).

oh I forgot completely about the new issue thx for reminding me, i had to rush over and read it, finally it is really getting somewhere; they showed Capt. Ukitake and Shunshui together with Stark and his little fraccion, so naturally we can assume they are going to fight. Other fights might take precedence though, like soi fon's or toshiro's, so there might be some wait time or they might so 3 fight scenes all together. whatever the case its going to get better and better from now on, i can't wait it next issue comes out:nuts

I have no idea who will fight with Ukitake but I want him to fight on his own. I like Shunsui, but I want ALL the attention on our cute and lovable taichou since he deserves it-he doesn't have much screentime unfortunately.

I´ll be honest: a Shunshui x Ukitake team sounds awesome and I´m sure that they would put a hell of a fight against a opponent, but I´m expecting to see Ukitake fighting alone (and here it can be against Lili or Stark, doesn´t matter, to be honest), because he deserves a good fight. Come on, the man is from the old school, so he better have a good fight. Not a lame fight, where he can defeat a opponent with one move :hm

Ukitake was very attached to him, they seemed like good friends and knowing how they worked together and how lovable and social are both of this amazing guys, I assumed there was deep friendship there.
Kaien followed Ukitake's theory so he believe in him! Ukitake told Rukia not to interfere because he knows that his fight is personal therefore he understands him well enough.
I like the idea of these two! :noes I've never thought about it before.

Maybe BanKai isn't pig but...the true form of his Zanpaktou sure is. Maybe twins? Two piggies sounds even better.

Keep in mind, I'm serious. I adore pigs and rabits so it's like a dream coming true-one of my fav characters having piggy BanKai! :crazy

Hum.. Ukitake and Bankai! Awesome. One of the current predictions is that Hitsugaya will be defeated (not killed) and Ukitake will fight against Halibel! I do hope to see Ukitake fighting against a Espada. He is a captain from the old school, so I assume that he´s very powerful. If his opponent is Halibel, then I´m sure that he´ll put a hell of a fight.

About his bankai, I have no idea. I know that his power is water related, but a pig would be cool yes.

Sogyo no Kotowari actually means "Parable of the Twin Fish", so I hate to say it, but I seriously doubt it'd have anything to do with a pig :p His powers are likely flowing water related, so I'd guess his bankai has something to do with that.

In the Bleach Blade Battlers game (which I've seen but don't have :cry), doesn't Ukitake have Bankai? (Or maybe it's just cool Shikai moves) Anyway, in that game it's thunder-lightning related.

Honestly, and not to diss anybody, I really don't care the exact form of his Bankai... as long as it's (1) uber-cool and as long as (2) Kubo does a COLOR PANEL of it so we can see fully appreciate Ukitake's awesomeness and his gorgeous green eyes.
I will seriously squee out loud if Kubo indulges me with the color.... :inlove

Why not a pig anyways? :cry If it's related to water, then it can be some special superpig which can dive or something...I don't know! I just love fat animals, they are so lovable, Ukitake deserves one.
I hope Ukitake will fight. Kubo is weird, he's promised some Unohana I think but not Ukitake. I don't want him to be passive-he seems very kind-hearted but that doesn't mean he can't fight right?
Problem is, there are too much Bleach characters and not enough screentime for all of them. I fear Kubo may forget. xDD
I think he'll fight with a female. I'd love to see that <3

I don't normally watch anime-filler movies, but if Ukitake has purty shots like those in there, I just might watch it.

Ukitake does not have much to do in this movie. He has a conversation with nanao-chan :P and then he talks to captain koryaku and then he talks to my 'husband' aka byakuya and then he talks to koryaku again near the end of the movie.

Yes that movie has been subbed and out since september. it was released on dvd sept 3rd in japan.

Secondly, yeah, I have high hopes for all of my favorite characters too... I think we are nearing the END of the BLEACH series and we are all going to get what we want to see from our characters, their BANKAI:yay and of course, we will get a lot more emotion from all of them in this war.

As for Uki, I sure hope he don't sacrifice himself, that would suck, yet it would really fit his character too :scared

We are nearing Bleach end and that makes me sad. Kubo has so many characters that are interesting yet not enough screentime for all of them. That's biggest Bleach obstacle I think, he gives some characters too much time.

Likewise, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Ukitake in a combat situation. According to the manga, it alludes to some extent that he might engage in battle. But that remains to seen though.

However, based on recent episodes of the anime, I was under the assumption that Ukitake would have an opportunity to fight. It’s such a shame that he didn’t have that chance.

Your idea makes a lot of sense. Like you said, since Ukitake and Kyouraku are the only two with twin zanpakutou, it seems natural they were destined to have such a close friendship and work together. In addition, having swords which are identical, you can’t cement a partnership anymore perfectly than that. So I wouldn’t doubt it all, if the abilities had an equal effect.

All of this really makes their camaraderie, so much sweeter. :)

Combination attacks are very strong possibilities. Perhaps, Kyouraku initiates the first move and Ukitake follows through, supporting it in a second wave of attacks and vice-versa. Likewise, it’s possible their bankai is applied in a similar fashion. Basically, what one power does the other replicates it or it’s used as a single finishing move.

hmm, I think that they could do a combined ban kai then, perhaps similar to Komamura's ban kai, where they summon a huge god-like figure to destroy their enemy, though that does sound a little weird.

Part of me has a feeling that Ukitake will allow Kyouraku, to initiate the fight with Stark. If at any point Ukitake senses Kyouraku might be in need of assistance, he’ll step in and join the battle.

However, it could be the other way around as well. There’s a possibility of Ukitake facing Stark first. Should he become overwhelmed to an extent, Kyouraku would gladly lend a helping hand.

Ukitake will not agree to have someone pity him or tell him what to do. I don't think he's that type. Also, he just needs to try to push himself far whether Kyoraku wants it or not. It's Ukia's decision and he cares for pride much enough for me to know he'll try to fight without caring about his sickness.

I saw in a Databook that, altough Ukitake is a capitain, his resistence is only 40/100 because of his desease.

Maybe a fraccion is weak agains a capitain's force, but ukitake is "fragile" because of the desease.

But, as i saw there: Strenght is not what makes a fight. Sometimes, the situation changes the result of the fight, and KT believes in it.

Examples: The fight Nell x Nnoitra, when she still was the 3 espada. She was stronger, but, because of the circunstances, he won.

The fight Szayel x Ishida, Renji. Szayel addmited that he is not very strong, but, because of the circunstances, he beat renji and ishida, and even goes to a second round against mayuri and nemu (and loses i_i)

I don't want Ukitake to die. I bet he'll win, but i'm not 100% sure of it, because of what KT does. KT is a mistery sometimes. Never doubt of what a mangaka can do i_i.
