When did you start or what made you watch Haruhi?

My answer:

It was recommended to me by my classmate. I really got curious since there is an uproar in the internet world of anime about this series. I actually bought the whole series, coz I thought it's not that bad if everyone's into it. :)

The start of the first episode made me confused at first and then...:rotflmao later. And so my journey with the extraordinary humans, a bored introvert and a tolerant love interest who talks alot in his mind, begins.

Yea, I guess the way the light novels are put together an actual second season wouldn't make much sense. That is only what I've heard, so don't quote me on it. But that is the supposed reason the are just doing a retelling. More Yuki ftw.

I think that, in case the anime failed to cover the entirety of the plot of the light novel, which too happens quite often, it's very possible for it to be a sequel. :> But I'm kinda pleased that they've told the story as is in the light novel so now they just need to do an alternate retelling.

Even though I posted this awhile back, I'll post it again, since back then, it wasn't very active here.

Omni over at Random Curiosity (http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2007/12/18/random-musings-haruhi-higurashi-and-znt-sequels-edition/) and a combined news link (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-12-17/new-haruhi-suzumiya-anime-series-details-revealed) from ANN, pretty much proves that there will be another series in the next year now. It won't be an official second season though, as you can tell from the link from ANN. Since the way the series is told in the light novels, a retelling of the story would work better, so that is what they will do.
