Hey

Story:
2 weeks ago I gained a new trojan which was just add to the spyware anti viruses a few days later, but before that I had startet to see how I could remove it...
Tryed alot and got rid of some spyware, but the trojans would keep showing up... So i decided to see if i could do anything out in my admin..."I shouldn't had done that."
I either miss typed the password or forgot it= 3 wrongs= now limited options on some stuff at my users.
The only stuff i've noticed beeing restricted would be right clicking at my Computer entering propaties(sp?), right clicking my Bg and entering Propaties aswell as Ctrl+Alt+Del not opening the joblist.
I got rid of the trojans last week when the spyware programs learend about this trojan and the main problem was gone.

Now im just left with my own mess having restrictions on my computer, not sure if this is related to the trojans but i keep finding tracking cookies again and again.(is this normal?)
I can tell that Youtube and other similar pages load way slower then they used to.

Problem in short:
Seem to have forgotten my admin pass at my computer(sadly not just windows admin, it's the F10 when opening the computer that i can't enter)
THis has limited some areas of my computer.
Any sugestions to how to make this up or do you know if it'll just be a temp problem?
Or am i to try again and again to see if i made typos etc. tryed around 20 diffrent passes.

Hope someones able to help me out here, thanks in advance.

Lol, you'd be surprised how easy it is to fix that....

Restart your pc and just before your windows loads up, press F8 (i think :S) and load it into sadde mode without networking or command promt.

Once you've done that, log into Administrator using the password, this is normally just "password" because no one really needs it to be different and its easier to remember.

Once logged in, go to User Acounts in the Control Panel and change your password there.

If you cant log in to administrator with your old password or "password" then I'm sorry but you'll have to reinstall windows, recommending you back up everything u need before hand. I normally do this anyway when i get a virus because i can never be arsed to get rid of it so it becomes in bedded in my operating system and causes loads of hasle.

As for Spyware, thats not exactly a difficult either. Download Spybot Search and Destroy, its probably the ONLY FREE reliable software that actually works. You can download it almost anywhere, but heres the official website http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ I use it all the time when i get 100's of pop ups past my firewalls and my pc becomes slower, fixes it every time.

If u need anymore help, just add me on msn...

If its Windows XP you can, they have loads of security flaws like that. There is 2 admin accounts so problems like this can be fixed easily.

But if you have a operating sytem like Lynix, then u dont get virus' and spyware and its incredibly easy to get past small problems like passwords, for you anyway :D

Hmm... I can enter my windows admin but it won't open the Control Panel it's saying its turned off dur to restrictions and sugests i contact the system admin.(Even though im logged in as windows admin)

The place i made this admin password(Not windows admin) is the place where i made my power on password.
Where you have to type at a blue field on black bg with white letters

at this point, all i can say is you're royally F***ed jk :D

ok, do this step by step, and you should be able to rid the computer of all the malware you have

1 - run a virus scan and adware scan and locate all the viruses and malware. the the antivirus and spyware scanners to delete as many viruses and scripts as they can find. copy the locations and filenames of files that could not be deleted.

2 - download this program
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
it lets you delete non-deletable files by brute force

3 - clean up your registry using registry cleaner, just google it.

4- that limited access mode thing can be overcome by creating another admin account. so i'm not too worried about that.

if any step fails, format your computer., this method i've come up with solves most spyware probs in the system, but if nothing goes right, format.
