Its got the groove, the voice, the style, the song titles and it sounds truely like god shined upon earth at that point. Yes tell us your top 5 albums it doesn't matter if your still young and have no clue anything will do as i am sure every year peoples opinions change and such lark.

Yes i am young and havent seen the light yet but i guess i hold the top 5's light for the future xD. Here we go:

1. Green day - American Idiot: The first time i heared the album i though wow a band that can actually stand up and talk about politics like it didn't matter along with attitudes of the band members.

2. McFLY - Wonderland: Showing a more mature side of the band. Though they say the didn't really like the aftermath of the album as it caused a lot of sadness and a bit of depression and wasn't the sund they were going for this album is a musical masterpiece.

3. Ayumi Hamasaki - MY STORY: When i first got into Ayu this was the era of this albums anitcipated release. The whole album is amazing. Following a new ore rocker style Miss Hamasaki tried to pour into her album follwing her mini album Memorial address was a great treat. The emotion and energy poured into this album along with her amazing lyrical talent and vocals makes this album worth it.

4. Blink 182 - Blink 182: Again showing a more mature side to a band from a different light here. They tried something new sadly before parting way on musical difference. I love this album as it showed the blink 182 that would be arond today.

5. Paramore - All we know is falling - An album so underated but so amazing. Following the bands troubles and problems they pour out their heart and soul into this album of surefy catchy hits.

Only top 5? I could easily do top 20. :p
Master of Puppets by Metallica

Best Metallica album EVER. probably the only 1 I actually enjoyed.

Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything
Nightwish - Once
^^ Fierce gothic metal with awesome female vocalists, emotional lyrics and crazy mix of instrumentals. My favorites.

Linkin Park - Meteora
^^ This album ALWAYS gets me in good mood. Great nu metal.

Evanescence - Fallen
^^ Nothing to write home about from instrumental part, but Amy Lee writes such awesome songs that she can really sing well and convincing too.

HIM - Razorblade Romance
Gr8 finnish love metal album. I like the lyrics, they are very romantic and emotional, despite the genre. Join Me In death is one of my favorite songs ever.

@Sapphire Star: You own. ;)
Try Nightwish too. :)
Skillet FTW.
Love Breaking Benjamin. Diary of Jane is a great song.

@nez: Vanessa Mae! *gasp*
I ADORE her.

Some gr8 tastes in music here I see. :O

Funeral by The Arcade Fire
This debut album of indie band The Arcade Fire is a relatively short album at about ten tracks. Out of the ten, four of them are subtitled "Neighbourhood #1-4" They are poetic recreations of four 'neighbourhoods', surreal explorations of the themes of death and disillusionment. Their singing is passionate, and are usually accompanied by a myriad of instruments, from the medieval organ to the fiddle to the guitar to the cymbal. My personal favourite is "Rebellion (Lies)" which climaxes with the lines "Everytime you close your eyes, lies! Lies!" It's an outstanding song, and one of the reasons why I prefer Funeral over The Arcade Fire's later album, Neon Bible (even though that was a good album as well), and also why it's one of my favourite albums ever.

Employment by Kaiser Chiefs
If I had to use one word to describe this album, I'd say 'funky'. Because that's what it is, overwhelmingly so. Memorable lyrics like "putting the 'punk' back in 'punctured lung' " are commonplace, and, amazingly, it doesn't sound cheesy or contrived. Most albums, even very good ones, have a couple of songs that 'miss', but in my opinion every single track in Employment works, either as part of a playlist or listened as a whole. My personal favourites are "I Predict A Riot" and "Time Honoured Tradition".

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/4335/franzferdinandsx1.png (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Ferdinand_%28album%29)
Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
The the same kind of awesome as Employment.... not much to add here. I especially enjoyed "Jacqueline" and "Come On Home".

http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/8691/theeminemshowph0.jpg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eminem_Show)
The Eminem Show by Eminem
This album is one of those albums that work best when listened as a whole. I mean, some albums have good tracks that work well on the radio or in a playlist but not when listened back to back (such as, say, Moby's Hotel, or Craig David's The Story Goes...). Almost all of Eminem's albums have individual songs and skits that come together into a coherent overall theme, and this is evident in this album. At twenty tracks it is arguably slightly too long, but it's a good album nonetheless. It is powered by a succession of strong tracks, from "White America" to "Soldier". This album, together with Encore, is to me the best of Eminem.

Parachutes by Coldplay
This album is a different breed from albums like Funeral. Instead of being passionate, it's more melancholy and slow-moving. Nevertheless, it's an excellent album, quiet and comtemplative. My personal favourites are tracks that bookend the album, "Don't Panic" and "Everything's Not Lost".
