I didn't mind the flashback to the whole fight so much. Let's just pretend that on their way to meet Aizen, Ulquiorra sneezed and his eye popped out and broke when it hit the floor. Thus, Orihime got a birds eye view of Ichigo and Grimmjow's fight thanks to Ulquiorra's spy eye. Yeah, that's what happened. :nuts:

That was little bit of crap wordplay on Grimmy's part. After all, he DID rescue her, didn't he? The only distinction is that he rescued her from being tortured and mistreated, but not from Las Noches. And he knew darn well that he wouldn't be able to do that by himself, even if he wanted to. And he didn't want to, because he had to go "rescue" his punching bag other buddy. :p


That's my twisted logic. And I'm sticking to it.

Hear, hear! I also agree that Grimm saying he wasn't there to save Orihime was his way of saying "yes, but don't tell anyone or you'll ruin my badass rep". :D I totally love those chapters! What I want to see is Grimm be the one to free Orihime from Tesla by chopping off his arm and then Ceroing him out of existence. I like Tesla, but not as much as I love Grimm. Anyway, after that, Grimm can tell Orihime to heal him and then he can collapse in Orihime's arms. Both of them end up on the ground with Grimmjow on top of Orihime with his head resting comfortable on her boobs. Yeah THAT I want to see happen.

In other news, I volunteered to do the Grimmjow/Orihime manifesto over at the ship manifesto ship community, since there was one for the other big three Orihime pairings (IchiHime, IshiHime, UlquiHime), so I figured I'd do one for our ship, since I've been working on the manifesto between writing projects anyways. <3

If anyone wants their voice heard in the manifesto, I'll be putting a section in for fan testimonies too.

That's a good question, Riekie! What I want to see is Orihime healing Grimm on her own because in a way she does owe him for saving her from Loly/Menoly. Okay, so his purpose for doing that was to serve his interest and his interest happens to be beating Ichigo up. It's still a favor. Though if Orihime does heal Grimm and say, it's thanks for saving her, Grimm will feel indebted again. It will be like a whole quid pro quo type of relationship. I want them to do something for each other because they want to. But at the same time, my thoughts on Grimm saving Orihime wasn't just to return a favor, but really his way of saying thanks.

Well, the amount of real time that has gone by since Nnoitra whacked Grimm-sama has probably been 30 minutes or maybe even less. During that time, Ichigo's been knocked out of contention twice (once by accident, awwww-n!) and Orihime has been twice pwned by manly Tesla. :love I don't necessarily take Orihime to be ungrateful-- she's been very occupied!

And, as much as I love the interactions between Orihime and Grimmjow, I kind of hope that he will somehow get up on his own this time... and then she heals him, you know, after he's done something good-guyish. Maybe that's too much to hope for...

Yeah...I kinda don't see Grimmjow 'wanting' to be healed if you know what I mean. Well ofcourse he 'asked' her to remove the scar which covered his tattoo but that was only natural, he needed to show who's boss in town:D

Also when his arm got injured by Ulquiorra he was quite reluctant and didn't want to get pitied on by Ichigo..only having it returned to him later.

The most torn I've EVER felt in Bleach was when Nnoitra struck down Grimmjow. I love both of those guys, dammit! I don't want to cheer against either of them! T_T

It'll be interesting next chapter to see who takes on Nnoitra (as it has to be someone, right?), Ichigo or Grimmjow? Although Ichigo is conscious, at least, so probably him. I have a feeling that Grimmjow will have some sort of hand in Nnoitra's demise though (if it's to be in the current arc, that is).

Well..we never saw Grimmjow close his eyes, he was still awake and well not kicking in his final panel! So when we suddenly see a Cero or fist coming out of nowhere I stand with Flower that it could be Grimmjow's. Perhaps he rolled away and is doing some secretive training to get revenge, but then I think this: Nnoitra said he was disgusted with Grimmjow because he lost and the enemy protected him. Grimmjow looked as if he understood Nnoitra's action and probably would've done the same to him, thus there will be no arm-through-Nnoitra's-stomach-Cero-in-head attack by Grimmjow.

Atleast, that's the way I felt when seeing Grimmjow's expression.

I agree with everything you said here. Grimmy ends up being the sexiest male Bleach character, but only just edges out Renji for that title because of his sexy attitude, which Renji just does not have as much. He is a dork, but I love sexy dorks to death. And, I totally adore Ren-chan, but I get bored with him sometimes because he doesn't quite have the charisma that Grimmy has in spades! :D

And, you don't have to worry about me going yaoi. I'm not at all into that stuff and I just figured it'd be hilarious if these guys had a body-hotness contest instead of the actual reason for their fight. Especially if it were over Orihime. Y'know, I don't just like Grimm-sama's character for his hot bod. :p To me, one of the things that makes Grimmy stand out (and oh-so-smexy) is his intelligence-- particularly his ability to see right through people, and Espada, and Shinigami. He sees through Aizen. He sees through Ichigo, for the most part. I think he sees through Orihime's Aizen-loyalist act.

And he especially sees through Ulquiorra. He seems to know Ulquiorra better than Ulquiorra knows himself, so Grimmy could probably figure out that Orihime was being messed up mentally without even having to be there. Grimmy wasn't there when Ulquiorra defeated Ichigo either, but he still "knew" about it.

It's not like that he's interested in all of it, because I don't think he is, well certain things ofcourse but other he can care less about.

Everyone sees him as just some mindless brute wanting to kill everone and everything that crosses his path and ofcourse in one way that is true...only not that he's not as big a lunatic as he himself portrays. He's got the brains to match the brawns (sp?) one might say.

Ya know, I'd like to continue the conversation about how intelligent and observant Grimm-sama truly is, if that's alright with everyone. I'll try to tie it all in with Orihime just to keep on track with the "Grimmhime" theme of this thread...

Most Bleach fans see Grimm-sama as a mindless predator whose only impulse is to kill for the thrill of killing anything that moves. They think he's abusive, sadistic, and thuggish. Okay, these things are at least partially correct. But, WE know he's much more than what meets-the-eye.

Considering that he is originally a panther-hollow, he has the attributes of a living panther or jaguar. These are elegant creatures, very muscular and extremely athletic. They are also carnivores and amazingly sleathy at capturing and devouring prey. But, does anyone believe that this is all there is to a panther's life? No, we discover from grade-school age and the Discovery Channel that these creatures have intricate social networks with each other and family social units. Their hunting skills are passed down through generations and made super-refined.

Any good hunter has to be capable of sensing what is beneath the surface, or sniffing out a good scent. So, naturally, Grimm-sama will exhibit the ability to see through the other characters' exteriors to what lies at the heart of each one. A good hunter knows the weaknesses and strengths of every creature it encounters, if only to know how to deal with that creature (is it stronger or weaker than me?). Plus, they will see the pointlessness of taking on an opponent they cannot defeat alone, hence, Grimm-sama takes orders from the guy at the top-of-the-food-chain, aka, Aizen. Even if he must do it reluctantly.

In fact, it seems to me that he's the only Arrancar character who refuses to fully buy into this whole we-have-to-serve-our-natural-enemy-shinigami-even-though-it's-ridiculous bull-crap! Not only that, he doesn't even pretend to buy into it. Everyone knows he's not happy about serving Aizen and fulfilling his purposes. That makes him soooooooo awesome in my eyes!

Upon in-depth examination, Grimm-sama is a breath-of-fresh-air compared to the others who all seem to mindlessly follow Aizen, their natural enemy. His interest in Orihime is clearly real and personal because he doesn't have to care about her at all. Compare that to Ulquiorra's interest in her, which might only exist for him because of his charge to take care of her. Grimm is protective of Hime even when he doesn't HAVE to be, unlike Ulquiorra, who does have to be.

In conclusion, Grimmy knows what's up!! He's not a phony who prances around obsessing over Aizen's wishes. His priorities are in the right order and he's the most likely one of Aizen's bunch to turn on him because he's not weak-minded. Yea!!! Go Grimm-sama!!! :D:hug

I am still very firmly convinced that Grimmy is alive and that he will not die anytime soon, at least not until he does something dramatic. I think Kubo is simply saving his reappearance for a big moment... perhaps when Ulquiorra shows up.

My reasons:
1. Grimmy is one of Kubo's favorite characters/character designs, since he resurrected him from his former manga series. In my opinion, we have seen more varied expression from him than anyone except probably Ichigo himself.
2. Kubo went to a lot of trouble to show Grimmy interacting with Ichigo/releasing/getting pwned/NOT DYING. As soon as I saw Grimmy go back to his former state in the manga, I said "Yesssss!" because I really believe that was Kubo's way of telling us that Grimmy's going to be in it for the long haul. :)
3. Yes, backstory often means death, but I think it's different here. Grimm-sama's backstory was more like character development-- an explanation of GJ's inner workings and current state of mind rather than a sympathize-before-death thing. GJ spared his Arrancar companions, GJ lost his companions while trying to show off, now GJ chides Ichigo about Orihime's inner feelings and calls Ichigo "Kurosaki"... (See, I mentioned Grimm/Orihime, so I'm staying on topic :p)
4. Characters never hardly ever bleed to death in Bleach. How long have Rukia and Chad been lying there?
5. I think Grimmy is actually a slight distance away from where Nn and Ken are fighting. I know they are still in the same general area, but they've been moving around quite a bit.
6. Orihime is now free as a bird, no Tesla (Tesla...:cry) and Nn is totally occupied. Either Ichi or Grimm will be getting healed very soon, I suspect.

Well, the way I see it, Orihime is no longer being restrained by anyone and even Ichigo is just standing around watching Zaraki kill as many hollows as he's used to. Why can't Orihime just get on with her healing? Grimmy is still lying there, so why not heal him? I figure she has the opportunity to heal Ichigo and Nel, so why not the blue cat as well?

C'mon, Kubo-san! Did you think we'd all forget that Grimmy is still nearby and unable to move?! We know he's there SO MAKE ORIHIME HEAL HIM, ALREADY!!! :yell:yell:yell

I know most of it is true what you are saying but sometimes I'm just like: hmm...and what if he survives, we'll miss him from the manga for a loooooooong time and what will his purpose be then? kicked out by Aizen, not that I think Aizen will care because well, almost everyone disobeyed...but still. Don't want him being on the good side..it just doesn't suit him y'know.

4. Characters never hardly ever bleed to death in Bleach. How long have Rukia and Chad been lying there?

That is the main reason why I think Grimmjow will live :D

I know a lot of people don't want it to happen, but I hope that Grimmjow sides with Ichigo and co. for the time being; like Barbossa did with Jack in POTC3. I'd rather have him become a semi-decent guy who can get along with Ichigo and co. for Orihime's sake, than Orihime turning ruthless, evil, etc.

Can I join please, please??? This is such an awesome pairing! It's my favorite crack from Bleach:). Reasons: Orihime is one of my favorite characters in Bleach(she's great) and Grimmjow...well, it's obvious, he's hot and badass.

I am sure he's not dead. I am sure...or not. I feel so desperate, lol, he's one of my favorite characters. But I am pretty sure that kubo wouldn't kill him off that easily by the hands of that filthy Nnoitra(even though I like Nnoitra too, lol).

2 Renegaide Raine: I looooove your fics, I read all of them, they are so beautiful. And Worse than Death cracks me up, lol, very funny.
Oh and the pictures of kissing Grimmjow and Orihime, I think the 2nd, 3rd and 4th one had "Shuukan Shoujo Jyanpu" (週刊少女ジャンプ) written on them, it's so funny (if someone doesn't know, it means "Weekly Shoujo Jump" which does not exist of course), like what would happen if Bleach went shoujo. :) (I think I've seen someone had a sig about Bleach going shoujo).

@ A_F: we think Grimm has been lying there this whole time! Well, OK, he probably still is. :rolleyes: But this is the guy who was all but run through by Ichigo's zanpakuto and yet still managed to get up afterwards, gripe and attempt another half-hearted attack. He's a kitty, even after the scythe he's probably still got at least 5 or 6 lives left. ;)

I don't know where Kubo will take Grimmy, there are so many options. I don't ever see Grimmy turning "good," but I can see him eventually working with Ichigo to defeat their common enemy Aizen.

I have this crack theory that Orihime will refuse to return to the real world yet because she hasn't had her opportunity to destroy the Hougyoku (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and that Grimmy will reluctantly agree to help her accomplish this. In which case, Ichigo would probably stay too, unless someone insisted that he go back. Hmmmm... (still thinking)

Flower, that's exactly what I thought too!!! For some reason, I think Orihime will be willing to stay in HM. After all, even if she returns to Karakura - wouldn't Aizen attempt to kidnap her again, I figured her powers are very important to him, otherwise he wouldn't go through so much trouble just to get a "healer". So, what would be the point of saving Hime if she'll get kidnapped again. Ichigo is in no state to defeat Cuarto Espada, let alone Aizen, Tousen and Gin, so I wonder what's gonna happen to Hime? (Or will they take her back to Living realm, lock her up in a basement and watch her 24/7? I doubt it.)

It's undignified IMO. If Grimm dies, he'll die fighting with a smile on his face. That said, I don't think he's dead nor do I think he's going to die. Oh, no, it's not going to be in Japanese. I don't know that language! There's no reason Bleach doujinshi has to be in Japanese. It's going to be written in English and the panels will be read the same way any other American comic is read. The only reason manga is backwards is because of the way the Japanese language is read. Since English is read from left to right, it makes sense to keep my original English fan manga that way. ;)

Kara-lija did a commission for me with Grimmjow, Orihime, and Ichigo as The Phantom, Christine Daaé, and Raoul, le Vicomte de Chagny from "The Phantom of the Opera". The picture does lean more towards the IchixHime side, but Grimmjow just looks so friggin smexy, I hope you guys don't mind me posting it here!

Well, the girl in the first two pictures is a friend of mine who is currently playing Christine on Bway, so I was being biased there! LOL! But her pictures always display such sensuality, so I had to use them :love

And well, a lot of people do think that Christine was in love with the Phantom *shifty eyes* I mean, she did kiss him twice! What I especially loved about the movie production of the stage production was the ending where we see a rose and the ring on Christine's grave. Such an amazing ending.
