RP THREADS AND YOU!

RP threads are exactly what they sound like - threads in which you write for your character (or characters), and have their personal plots or whatever else develop without the cumbersome burdens of stats and having to fight over souls.

These threads are to have your character interact with other players or NPC characters, to brood about recent or past happenings, or even a generic shonen power-up. Really, they can have anything you feel like writing in them. Except you little jerks don't care about that, do you. All you want is the easy Soul Points >>

Points from RP threads for the week are determined by each realm's respective grader, and will be posted in this thread each week for your convenience.

THE SYSTEM

All threads will be graded evenly, as per this rubric. Final points awarded will be somewhat different. Plot thread grades will be multiplied by 2x your base score. Plot bonus and Length bonus to be added separately, and not multiplied.

RP/Backstory thread scores will be multiplied by base 1.5x your score, after multiplayer bonus is calculated. Location threads are not modified and capped at 50. This is to encourage you to explore backstory, and RP threads. Also because I hate them, since they result in days that last for years.

- Imagery (evocation, feeling, expression):
- Vocabulary (precision, variety, effectiveness):
- Word/Sentence Flow (word choice, structure, rhythm):
- Spelling/Grammar/Punctuation/Etc:
- Content (realism, events, character development):
- In-Character (personality, voice, perspective):

Length Bonuses: Length bonuses now apply to both plot threads, and RP/Backstory threads. In the case of plot threads, word count will not be taken on a per post basis, but how many words you have for the entirety of the thread. This counts only for your character. OOC messages and NPCs are not counted. Also in the case of plot threads the bonus will be incorporated into the plot bonus and be mainly left to the discretion of those grading based on what they believe was contributed to the plot and what was not.

Over 2500 words - 20
Over 3000 words - 30
Over 4000 words - 50
Over 5000 words - 75
Over 6000 words - 100
Over 7000 words - 125
Over 8500 words - 150
Over 10000 words - 175
Over 12000 words - 200

Multiplayer Multipliers: Because the point of RP is to collaborate in your writing and stories, we encourage RPers to rock out together by handing bonuses to those who do, and it works out since threads with many participants take more time than individual ones anyhow. These have been updated as of 08/15/09.

2 RPers - 1.1x
3 RPers - 1.2x
4 RPers - 1.3x
5 RPers - 1.4x
6+ RPers - 1.5x

Length and having multiple RPers in one thread will increase your maximum, same as usual, and how much out of the maximum you'll get is still dependent on writing quality and grammar and character development and whatever we had written in the other thread. I'm not going to impose a limit on how make you can make per week, but if you want timely grades, try spacing them out a bit yes.

I stand by my promise that if a post's completely terrible and lazy, I won't even bother with it.

NEW, AS OF 1/15/07
Each section now has its own RP rewarder - Mystic Serenade in the Living World, myself in Soul Society, and Kolbertt in Hueco Mundo. I am also the Head RP rewarder, who posts the final RP scores and can overrule any of the other RP staff‘s decisions like an evil totalitarian dictator.
Plot threads with RP rewarding will also have their rewards posted here, and they will likely have a set minimum for participation (ie: 25 points + RP scoring).
Bonuses can and will be given for outstanding writing, originality, quantity, character development, or anything else that the rewarder feels merits a bonus.
All rewarding is up to the rewarder’s discretion.
Any questions and complaints should be addressed to your character’s respective grader or myself in PM.

Stat Fight Grades:

Stat fights will be graded as follows. For each action, you'll be awarded some points. This will be more rewarding than RP fights, though not ridiculously so, so you're encouraged to learn the system. It is of course your choice. Points will be awarded as follows:

Successful hit: 10 points
Counterattack: 10 points
Successful Dodge: 5 points
Successful Block: 5 points
Use of Kidou, Medical Kidou, or Zanpakuto skills: 5 points

The main source of points from stat fights will come from Reiryoku usage. For each 1% of your total reiryoku you use in a turn, you will receive one point -5. If you use less than 5% in a turn, you will not receive negative points. This means if you use 100% of your reiryoku in a single turn, you will receive 95 points for it. If you use 5% or less, you will receive 0 points from it for that turn.

When releasing your zanpakuto, reiryoku is automatically drained to maintain it, after a certain number of turns. In this case, the -5 modifier is removed. The automatically drained reiryoku does NOT count towards your grade, but instead, each turn you will receive 1% of the drained amount. For shikai, that will be 5 points, and for bankai it will mean 10.

The winner will be awarded a bonus of 50 points, and the loser will receive a 15 point bonus for their effort.
Have fun, kiddies :>

PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD.

Most of this is still accurate. However, the only graders here are Seraphina and myself. Seraphina handles the majority of it, while I simply grade Seraphina's things for her, to ensure a sense of fairness. Also, if one of us is absent, the other fills in for them respectively. If you have questions, Seraphina is the person to ask.

Essentially, this is all the material from BEFORE Uni kick-started the reboot of Mission 1E. Since we no longer have those posts to do any grading with, I guess it was fortunate that I happened to have already graded Part 1 a long, long time ago. Everything that was posted AFTER the reboot will be graded upon completion of the mission itself, and as such, it has been kept in a seperate folder, so as not to get any mixed word counts. Also, since this was only part one, it was graded as a normal RP thread, instead of a mission thread. Part 2 will be graded as a Mission thread, with the X2 instead of 1.5, and Uni and BL will receive a special Plot Master bonus as well.
