Bleach 286- Tooth and Nail

Ichigo stabbed GJ above his hole and GJ fell from the mid-air but Ichigo managed to grab GJ’s arm and landed his body on the ground gently.

After that he went back to Orihime and asked if she didn’t get hurt. She replied yes and thanked him, while thinking ‘I’m glad, Kurosaki-kun is back’. But Nell interrupted them and cried feeling happy that Ichigo is not dead. Then Ichigo continued talking that he’s glad Orihime didn’t get injure before picked her up. He explained that because the stairs were destroyed this is the quickest way to go down (just jump off). Then he asked if she didn’t like it so Orihime replied because she’s heavy but he said “not really.” And that earned Ichigo an attack from Nell for being rude to a lady.

When they landed he putted them both down Ichigo said he will go and save Chad and Rukia. Nell protested thinking Ichigo will leave them here which he replied they definitely will come too because it’s too dangerous here.

Then they were interrupted by GJ who’s already returned from his release form. Said he will not lose to someone like Ichigo. He attacked Ichigo but his wrist was caught by Ichigo “that’s enough. You lose. You are the king but don’t you realize that destroying everything will make you a lonely king? If you hate me this much I will fight you again but this time just let it go.” That angered GJ and removed his wrist from Ichigo’s hold. “Don’t be stupid! You…” But he was cut by Noitora and fell. Ichigo looked at Noitora who was smiling “What a loser. Just die already, I’ll kill this shinigami myself.”

In fact, it's possible that KT intentionally extended this fight so that its conclusion would occur within the double issue. One can hope...

We are atleast getting a color page or two, though.

There's a spoiler someone posted over in the Next Chapter Predictions thread that basically talks about Grimmjow having another flashback, commenting on the type of person Ichigo is, collapsing, Inoue running to Ichigo, and then everyone's ambushed by the sexy squad.

But there's no ref as where it's from.

Someone might wanna look into it to see if it's of any worth.

I say this because if he shows up and stops grimm, the only one who can save ichigo from getting hacked apart would be Halibel (If she has rank over Noi) or Ulquiorra..(Although this could also mean Halibel is 2 and Noitora is 3)

Since Noitora's self-proclamation as the strongest espada months back, it makes me think he probably is among the top 3. It's something someone in the middle of the pack wouldn't say, IMO.

As you said, most likely candidates to stop noitora from killing ichigo is either halibel by herself (if she's among the top 2) or a combination of halibel and ulqui (if she's 5 or 7).

That would make an interesting twist! As interesting as these fights are I would appreciate them more if there are breaks in between them. I wonder if Renji and Ishida will appear next, we might get a free for all! :D

Personally I thimk twilight refers to the end of the rescue team or their failure or both. If KT wants to imply Orihime presence he could easily draws a outline of her (like he did in that chapter with Ichigo and Orihime running, where Rukia was visitng the Shibas), then we dont have to resort to obsure references :cool: 'Sides did she refers hersself as the 'rain'?

The twilight doesn't necessarily refer to anything; it's a choice of lighting for the cover. There was a black-and-white cover of Ichigo a year or so ago.

Well, in all fairness, it IS a shonen manga...which I'm going to assume means that there's alot more focus on fighting then anything else...but then again, I'm going to have to agree with many of you--Rukia and Chad are barely alive, and I'm personally sick of all this fighting, and Orihime's just standing there--not that I have anything against her as a character, it's just that...I'd like to see a character like Orihime do more. BUT! The possibility that Rukia and Chad have already been rescued seems cool...and extremely possible given the fact that they're been gone for like, ever! XD

Relax, it will be a very short fight. Ichigo is in no condition to fight someone even stronger than Ulquiorra right now. Either he loses almost instantly or else someone saves him.

I don't like the prospect of a rescueing the rescuees squad...but I think it has 'already' happened. Maybe thanks to the Vaizards or maybe Gin <---:rotflmaoto the rescue! Ofcourse he does not want his precious victim to die..atleast not yet.

Well, I am sort of happy about the end of the Grimjow/Ichigo fight, but to be taken out that way by Noitora just plain sucks. As for the inevitable Noitora/Ichigo fight that we are going to be put through, hopefully it will be short. I have a weird feeling that this is going to turn into a round robin type fight with the remaining Espadas waiting in line just to get a piece of Ichigo, with the secondary characters taking a backseat for the sake of the plot.

Death is irrelevant with Orihime around. I predict that Noitora kills Grimmjow AND Ichigo and leaves, letting Orihime bring them back.

I'm a little disappointed that it did turn out to be Ichigo's reiatsu that Noitora felt. I was really really hoping one of the Vaizards would show up or even Isshin or Urahara to help out (b.c let's face it, our little rescue team isn't doing so hot) and that's what he was feeling, which would have really changed things up IMO, but ah well. Hopefully Noitora will be interesting b/c I'm a little tired of all the fighting (heh yes I know this is Shounen and that's what they do, but I can't help it!)

I just... don't like Noitora, that's it. I just don't like him, for no apparent reason, and it bothers me. I didn't want him to be the one to kill Grimmjow. Scratch that, I didn't want him to appear at all. But he's there, so I'll live with it.

As for GJ, myself..I refuse to belive he DIED in that way :rolleyes: Even if he is THE bad guy, he deserves better. I guess we might know more later on or tomorrow. Kinda confusing for me at the moment. I don't think Noitora has to be higher number then GJ either. He sounds like the kinda of guy that would kill off anyone when they're weak just to climp one step up the ladder. Unless I missed something that said he was stronger.

That´s nice to hear; I really wondered, because that´d really be a
pathetic way to die for Grimmy, after he fought for several chapters

Gosh, it's sooooo nice to see the rescue squad all in nice little group, standing proud and unscathed. (I hardly count the pics of Chad/Rukia lying in their blood as memorable...)

The spoiler pics look promising. Since I'm started to get used to the idea that Noitora shows up (not like I have much choice anyway), the chapter doesn't seem to be so bad anymore. I don't think Ichigo's gonna seriously fight another Espada right now, so it's up in the air for me now as to who's going to rescue Ichigo! XD And poor Grimmjow. I think Orihime needs a break from healing too...but only after Grimmjow. XD

Grimm's been my fav character since "Night of Sledgehammer" so yeah sad to see him go, but i like the way. Having Ichi or Ulq do the work would feel to predictable.

So the spoiler I read were true, Noitorra shows up. I must say that I'm not very enthusiastic about it. I would have prefered if he didn't and we only saw him fight during Winter War as it seems that he is very powerful.
Moreover, I don't like the fact that he finishes GJ. Ichigo has defeat him so why should Noitorra win all the XP ? It's just unfair.

Okay, the overshoulder toss page is HILARIOUS and also makes sense--he's probably planning to use shunpo to get to their injured comrades as fast as possible, and Orihime wouldn't be able to keep up. So not the most sensitive mood, but it's understandable. But hee hee hee many giggles.

This looks to be a decisive victory for Ichigo. He's retained his bankai, and Grimmjow has lost his release--so it seems arrancar also go down a level when grievously injured.

I'm still hoping we don't get a month of one-on-one fighting from Ichigo, but I feel much more positively about this chapter now.

As for our guest Noitora. I dont see any action happening, there HAS to be some sort of interruption because just from watching this fight with Grimm, its obvious that Ichigo wouldnt be able to handle anyone higher than Grimmy's Level. I can see Tousen, Gin maybe even Ulqy making a comeback interrupting the pending fight and telling them to leave, stating that their fight is not with Ichigo, but with SS. yeah, I have a feeling Kubo has been planning this for sometime. From the looks of it, It seems that if Grimmy Survives this he might leave the espada. I mean its been hinted at for the longest now that Grimmy could care less about Aizens goal. He has a Loner personality, evident in those flashbacks and never really followed the rules to begin with. I dont think he'll be a good guy though. Itll be interesting to see what Grimmjows next actions will be ( if he doesnt die that is)

Ichigo stabbed GJ above his hole and GJ fell from the mid-air but Ichigo managed to grab GJ’s arm and landed his body on the ground gently.

After that he went back to Orihime and asked if she didn’t get hurt. She replied yes and thanked him, while thinking ‘I’m glad, Kurosaki-kun is back’. But Nell interrupted them and cried feeling happy that Ichigo is not dead. Then Ichigo continued talking that he’s glad Orihime didn’t get injure before picked her up. He explained that because the stairs were destroyed this is the quickest way to go down (just jump off). Then he asked if she didn’t like it so Orihime replied because she’s heavy but he said “not really.” And that earned Ichigo an attack from Nell for being rude to a lady.

When they landed he putted them both down Ichigo said he will go and save Chad and Rukia. Nell protested thinking Ichigo will leave them here which he replied they definitely will come too because it’s too dangerous here.

Then they were interrupted by GJ who’s already returned from his release form. Said he will not lose to someone like Ichigo. He attacked Ichigo but his wrist was caught by Ichigo “that’s enough. You lose. You are the king but don’t you realize that destroying everything will make you a lonely king? If you hate me this much I will fight you again but this time just let it go.” That angered GJ and removed his wrist from Ichigo’s hold. “Don’t be stupid! You…” But he was cut by Noitora and fell. Ichigo looked at Noitora who was smiling “What a loser. Just die already, I’ll kill this shinigami myself.”

He certainly did make good use of Noitora in that respect. But even if he was thrown in just to upset people, I think he'll have plenty of oppertunities to make up for any lack-of-badassery by having his own bloody battle with some other character. So Grimmjow isn't actually cut in half. I'm glad to hear that, it gives me more hope for his survival. But I think it was somewhat rude of Noitora to interrupt just when they were about to finish their fight. >_< I don't mind him appearing there that much, after all, but I didn't like what he did to Grimm. He's still a cool guy (even if he is a little son of a bitch for cutting Grimmjow! XD). Still, Grimm looked pretty miserable in the end of the fight, makin' me go all "Awww". ;_;

It's also nice to see Orihime in a good mood (or something like that) for once. As to how Ichigo will get out of that situation. . .Ulquiorra may come back, maybe even Aizen, Gin or Tousen. . .I don't think Halibel and co will interrupt though, I'd say they're there only to observe. I don't understand why Noitorra wants to face Ichigo.
There is only one unknown Espada who is ranked below GJ, the #7, and I think it's very unlikely for Noitorra to be ranked #7.
So why would he fight Ichigo who had difficulties defeating GJ and who is now very weak. Defeating Ichigo (who is more or less GJ's equal) right now won't prove anything, save for Noitorra being a coward (sorry if I offended all the Noitorra fans of the forum but no one hurt my favorite bad guy without facing the consequences).
Moreover, this arc is getting boring with almost only fighting and almost no revelations or real surprises (save for Chad's upgrages). So I hope it will end soon, perhaps thanks to some unexpected event (Vizards...).
This chapter will only make me dislike Noitorra even more, especially if we don't have a chapter next week.

I don't understand why Noitorra wants to face Ichigo.
There is only one unknown Espada who is ranked below GJ, the #7, and I think it's very unlikely for Noitorra to be ranked #7.
So why would he fight Ichigo who had difficulties defeating GJ and who is now very weak. Defeating Ichigo (who is more or less GJ's equal) right now won't prove anything, save for Noitorra being a coward (sorry if I offended all the Noitorra fans of the forum but no one hurt my favorite bad guy without facing the consequences).
Absolutely true. Especially about Ichigo being weakend. That's not a very ideal way to prove your strength, fighting someone who defeated another weaker than you (supposedly) and who is already exhausted.

Anyway, at least I'm happy about Grimmjow seeing another day. (Hopefully)

Either Grimmjow will get up and hold off Noitora long enough for Ichigo to escape (unlikely), or Orihime wiil heal both him and Ichigo after Noitora mutilates them and Grimmjow will hold off a returned Ulquiorra long enough for Ichigo to escape.

I know, I know, Orihime can revive Grimm but... how can she, and why would she? I know she has a heart of gold but her and Grimmjow are through. She healed him once, no need for Kubo to stretch their "I-paid-my-debts-now-do-me-another-favor" relationship.

So I'm not saying Orihime, the character, would refuse to revive him, but Orihime, the part of Bleach's plot (WOO! Oxymoron!), will have no choice in the matter.

On a different note... this 'fight' has to be interrupted. If Ichigo wins this, he's automatically downgraded in my eyes as another 'too-godly-for-life' main character. He rocks, but three fights in a row is just too much for anyone. -__-
