Rukia only got one cover in the entire manga, #2, and I don't want her to get another before we finally find out Teh Truth About Rukia. We just know Kubo's holding it till then, too. Because there weren't any volumes that centered around Rukia that didn't feature new characters, which by default have to get a new cover, for that is the way of the Kyubi... I mean Kubo.

So I don't get what you mean 'usual people' - so far, only Ichigo and Orihime have been featured twice, both times simply because no new people were introduced in those chapters.

I think it's referring to herself. The way I see this poem, how it starts out talking about how she fixes and washes her hair, it's almost as a woman who;s in the mirror doing that stuff. So when her "hair" gets chopped off, it will resemble her dead self because like she said, once she got rid of those wings, it was the same as dying for a Hollow. Thats why she says it frightens her.

I think that the "anata" part of the poem refers to either a lost loved one or to her opponent (most likely the former).

Apparently there is more to the poem than just that one picture (unless people just made these last lines up). Per a few different blogs:

That's what it looks like to me. That's partially why I initially thought it was Kaien, but then I remembered his speech was likely a line of BS Aaroniero fed Rukia to get her to trust him.
