Rate the Second Manga Season (arrancar arc)

I found the second season decent I had high expectation but the animation and pace let me down . The only silver lining is the BGM .

"Decent could have been better". I like the animation during some parts, but man... I just think that this fails by comparison to the manga. And I don't even like this section of the manga. Think about that.

On the one hand I like a lot of the new introduced characters
(Espada, like Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Vaizards like Shinji),
but I´m not too fond of the development of the story-line -.-

Animation: C+ Most were really good episodes and a few really bad ones. Most of the time they stayed right in that good area though. No complaints really.

Voice: A Same great cast, plus lots of new ones. The only time I can really remember cringing was at hollow Ichigo's bird squeaks. But I'm guessing that was on purpose for some reason.

Music: A+ All the new tracks were great. And the use of some old music, even some that we haven't heard in a lot time, were all well timed.

Overall B+ All in all, well done. The pacing and choppy animation at time were really the only let downs for me.

I think 2nd season is meant to be Arrancar arc-Hueco Mundo Arc...But I am not sure..

That's what I and I believe most were thinking. That second season meant the arrancar arc. True, it isn't very clear from the start.

That terminology was used in co relation with the manga. Fans do call Karakura Arc + SS Arc the First season. And yes technically second season is Bountu Arc but that cant be rated.

So I referred the Current Arrancar Arc as the Second Season

Pretty much summed up my opinion as well. Fantastic new music, great VA work, and when the animation was done well, it was done REALLY well <Looks at Ichigo vs GrimJoww animation>. When it was bad, it was bad, but the good definitely outnumbered the bad.

B+ overall.

i like it so far but the arc isnt over yet and i dont really like critiquing the story until its 100% over. i didnt find the beginning of the first arc to be terribly interesting/exciting and i bet this arc will have a similar pattern/style to the plot. im ok with that since im pretty confident itll end well and ill like it overall if theres a good ending to it.

i liked the music in the first arc better. animation... well, ive never been too picky about that >.< if it was too bad for me, though, i would have stopped watching it.

The animation for alot of it seemed really, REALLY crappy, compared to what we had just seen at the end of the Soul Society arc. Also, the story took a REALLY long time to develop. I mean, we took like, 10 episodes just to introduce the mod souls. Also, it got pretty convoluted and old after awhile. It did finally step up when they got to Soul Society though, although the whole deal with Ran Tao was sorta messed up. XD

Sooo the arrancar arc. It's progressing relatively slowly...animation hasn't been the best either. There was that one moment when there were awesome battle scenes, but that's gone, and there are random filler episodes about duplicating Arrancar. And then the plot's not progressing at all. They mention the Kingdom Key in one episode, and it's never been heard of since. >.<

I agree with you aznexocide, i was into this arc at first but it's been going downhill and now it's worse with the fillers.

I thought the arrancar arc was good but the fillers are kinda making it dull. I could mine some of them but ever since they put fillers during Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo's battle that did it for me.:mad: That's a battle that I really wanted to see but Kariya had to show his face and give a speech to Ichigo. Hopefully this arc ends better with no fillers interupting it.

I think it's a bit too early to rate the Arrancar Arc...it's not even finished. But, from what I've seen, I rated it 'Good I liked it'.

Voices, animation, music, the whole she-bang was fine, with the added new voices of Vaizards, Arrancars, etc.

Story plot? Hmm...considering the SS Arc was a pretty good one IMO, the second season will have to beat it. Although the first season did drag on just a tad, it was all in all, a very good season. The suspense had me literally raking through each episode until I finished the whole thing in two days. Can't say that was too good for my health, heh. Since the Arrancar season is the continuation of the SS Arc, I'm definately expecting much from KT and the animation team. High expectations. Also being a shipper of IchiRuki, and IshiHime, I hope to see any improvement that supports them. Kudos to them for making me, as well as other shippers, very very happy. :p It would also be nice to see improvement from the problems and complaints from the previous season, ie: too slow, dragging on, redundancy, etc.

To sum it all up, the Arrancar season so far has been pretty nice, but there is still room for improvement. Expecting great things; hope this season's as good if not better than the last one. I wish KT and the animation team all the luck in the world towards making their fans happy! ;)

Yeah, the fillers are doing wonders to this arc. The only thing to save this is when the new episodes start on the 29th of August. Hopefully the HM Arc surpasses this arc and be at least at Soul Society level.

It was OK(pretty good, if you ignore the fillers). Its really hard to top the Soul Society. But then again its not really the anime teams fault. they are being forced to go at a slow pace and add filler because the anime is so close to the manga.

I have high hopes for the next arc.
