My number one favorite is Grimmjow, I've always (ever since he appeared) loved his attitude and he is very very cool. In my opinion, he also has one of the best designs in Bleach. :p As for Bleach characters, I love him the most heh. <3

My second favorite is Ulquiorra. He's cool and well... I just like how calm he is, but I'd like to see him showing some emotions, like anger, for example. It'd be interesting to see him like that lol.

Noitora comes third. He has an interesting design and a cool-looking Zanpakutou. And something in his personality appeals to me.

I like Halibel and Stark equally for now, so they share the fifth place. Szayel Aporro comes after them, then...I guess that's it. :rolleyes:

My favorite is by far Grimmjow.
I disliked him at first. I quite like Ulquiorra and I usually dislike arrogant characters so I didn't like how he talked to Ulquiorra after he came back from his mission. However, I liked the way he looked.
Then he came to the real world, impaled Rukia and completely humiliated bankai Ichigo with his bare hands ! Okay, he was wounded by TZ's Getsuga Tensho but it was still cool.
I didn't like his release at first but I got used to it and now I think it's ok especially since I saw Zomari and Szayel. It's quite simple compared to these two's releases as it seems to simply boost his speed and strength but it fits his character.
I like the fact that despite enjoying needless killing, he still has some sense of honour.
And I think his VA in the anime does a great job.

I like that he's not just a random thug or an arrogant prick, which is how most of the lower Espada turned out. He's not one-dimensional. I also love his design (unreleased, that is), the way he carries himself, and his VA, Junichi Suwabe, does an awesome job with him.

I'd put Halibel second for many of the same reasons. Bt I can't put her first because she's too hentai-ready. :/

My favorite would be Nnoitra.

At first I didn't really like his attitude, his arrogance, pride, chauvinism. But later on when his past was revealed it shows that he hated to be looked down upon and longed to prove himself also his desire for strength led him to keep fighting and eventually die to an opponent much stronger, Kenpachi.

Another plus side is his released form, most badass yet, and something about his character appearance appeals to me. Whether it's his smile, eyepatch, hollow hole and mask fragment, his crazy weapon, or whatever he is just awesome.

Second favorite is Stark, so cooool. :D

Grimmjow is my choice, for sure.
He is awesome, hot, has beautiful blue eyes and blue hair.
He has great fighting skills and his released form is just incredible! I love how much he ressembles a feline - so agile and that huge amount of hair, like a mane.
He acts like a rebell (sometimes too much), but he is not too much arrogant like other Espada.
He just wants to be aknowledged for his power and strength.
He is a cute kitten anyone would love to cuddle. =P

Grimmjow is easily my favorite Espada. His whole character is well defined. He's a blood thirsty warrior out to prove himself and be the best (or in his case 'King'). He's like the hollow representation of Shirosaki (who's my favorite character) and his attitude is simply kick ass. The fact that he doesn't give a damn about anything other than being the strongest and has the skills to back it up proves his merit.

Even if he is the 6th Esapda he could care less as he always challenges Ulquiorra who he believes himself to be stronger than. He doesn't even show Aizen full respect as he challenges his authority (granted he is put down every time, but then again it is Aizen after all). The guy is reckless, powerful, and just pure killing instinct which makes him an admiral opponent.

His release is also my favorite and a panther suits him well. He's the definition of furious rage and power which is a great trademark for him. Even if he lost to Ichigo he's still top tier. He put up a great fight and lasted well. Overall not only my favorite Esapda, but easily one of my favorite characters.

1. Szayel Aporro Grantz, because he's a scientist, has pink hair -- which only adds to his awesomeness, and he's batshit insane. He gets a minus though because he did actually push Fornicares down his throat and explode into his release. The whole transformation-sequence could have been...slightly less ridiculous. Not saying that the butterfly form doesn't appeal to me, oh it certainly does. :love And he's not dead because I said so.

After all, this is Bleach, and no one fucking dies in Bleach.

2. I used to adore Ulquiorra to a point of hysteria, but that died a bit. Can't really put my finger on what it is but... I don't know. Maybe he just bores me at the moment. Oh well, I damn well hope Kubo will give him a good release.

Ulquiorra does have a personality, just because he's not comical or bloodthirsty (like 90% of all shonen characters) doesn't mean he doesn't. ^^ He's understated, commited to duty, and curious about human emotion. He has a very samurai-esque personality.

As to why he's lasted so long, I can offer a few reasons:

-no one dies in Bleach

-He's bishonen, and those guys always last a while

-He's the second most popular antagonist in Bleach.

-He's more popular than everyone in S.S. except Kira, Momo, Hitsugaya, and Byakuya.

-His interactions with Orihime are especially popular in Japan.

He stood out among the espada in the way he fight (using just only his hands to defeat Ichigo is so cool), the way he interact (taunting and calling his enemy trash but his interaction with Orihime was the best) and the way he lead people (avoiding unnecessary battle and completing his mission was top priority, he even protect Yammy when he was almost cut down by Urahara shikai attack)

By the way, although he`s emo but i really like him a lot, especially how he react after taking Orihime God Slap, i shudder to imagine what would be the consequences if it was the other Espada taking care of Orihime in HM

My opinion regarding Ulq still hasn't changed. :p I still find him, dull, plain repetitive and boring. But I respect your opinion ;)

yeah, i agree. there is also a high probability that Grimmjoww is still alive and healed by Unohaha or Isane.

i don't have any favorite espada :o yet i don't think the others (except for Ulq and Grimm) got enough screenpaneltime for me to choose a fav. Nel is an ex-espada so i don't think she should be on the list. I love Nel more than any other girl(except Rukia). She has some great qualities that can't be mistaken.
She has fighting spirit which is most important for me. I don't read Bleach to see whiny crybabies who shiver in a corner speaking in annoying kind of way. I read to see new powers, interesting Zanpaktous and someone who knows how to stand up for him/herself. Nel is exactly that.
I need a strong yet funny character and to say Nel isn't funny is like to say she is married with Hime. Besides being on the battlefield along with everyone no matter in what mood she is, what her powers are, etc., she is pure light of the darkness(i.e. Hueco Mundo)

- Because of his awesome attitude. Lazy, funny and nice (according to what we have seen so far). I also like his looks. That little goatee :love

- Really awesome design and I just like his calm and collected nature. Very impressive character.

Grimmjow
- Again... design and attitude. I like it how he doesn't really give a damn about anything and practically does what he likes.

- Such a lovely suave maniac. And he has pink hair XD. I usually hate pink but it looks totally awesome on him. His glasses are also a big plus.

I know I liked Aaroniero because of three reasons: first he was evil enough to play with Rukia's mind like that, secondly he looked like Kaien most of the time... and thirdly, my other top favorite seiyuu voiced him (I have two top-1 favorite seiyuu: Takeshi Kusao and Toshihiko Seki).

Stark is hilarious, but still really cool. ...He's like an evil Shunsui if you think about it. XD

And well, Szayel... aaaarghhhh at the voice, I LOVE it.
