Mine is Rukia's. It's so beautiful and pure! I LOVE IT. When I first saw it the manga and heard about it when Pyon was talking about it, I was all, "oh my gosh, how beautiful!" Fit for Rukia. :) I love it.

And yeah, I forgot the name and am too lazy to go look it up. :P

Tie between Sode no Shirayuki and Senbonzakura. Shirayuki is just awesome looking, fits Rukia perfectly, and can kick ass without the need for Bankai. Senbonzakura has so many uses. Have to give credit to Byakuya, he really knows a lot of tricks with his sword.

For now, Sodeno Shirayuki is still my favourite, closely followed by Zangetsu (looks cool... yes I have a thing for black katanas so... XD and the way it was introduced with the coloured chapter is simply awesome), then SenbonZakura (prettiness FTW) and Hyourinmaru (because I have a thing for dragons XD).

I may like other zanpakutou, but my main problem is that we didn't see enough of them so I can't say that I like them as much as these ones.

Ability wise, I would have to got with Suzumebachi. To bad we never got to see the Bankai for it.

Overall, I would say Hyorinmaru. The first time I saw that in the anime, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. The bankai was kinda a let down, especially when the anime keeps making it look horrible.

But when Aizen ability was revealed, it kinda ruined the zanpakuto curve of strength. Everything fails in comparision to that broken pos. ha.

I just can't seem to get the picture of a Vampire Urahara out of my head. I think he must have to drain almost all or ALL of the blood from someone to use the attack. Maybe he drains 90% of his own blood and uses it as an inescapable wall of death against his enemy?

Ya it's surely related to blood :p, and it's not suited to help others train so that means it's dangerous against anyone that uses. I hope that we'll know more about it when winter wars starts.

My favorite zanpakutou is Zabimaru.

Not just because I'm a Renji fan, but because I like how versatile Zabimaru really is. In it's Shikai state, it can be used as a standard blade, or you can swing it in long arcs in its extended state. Bankai adds much more versatility as far as controlling the segments of Zabimaru, the huge increase in range, and the fact that the huge body of Zabimaru makes for the best defense.

As far as Zanpakuto's go... I think Kira (the vice captain of Gin, before Aizen, Gin and Tousen left Soul Society) have a very interesting one.
Doubling the weight of what it hits? For every hit? If he have the speed to parry incoming sword/melee hits, the longer the battle, the worse for the opponent.
No matter how strong someone is, there have to be a limit to what weigth they can freely run around with.

Then I have to agree that Rukia's and Byakuyas for not only looking nice, but being powerful and very effective all in one.

The 10th Squad captain's Hyōrinmaru goes for being powerful and useful. I can also see development oppertunities in it, as it is stated that its not complete yet.

Yeah,Suzumushi is a great Zanpaktou it's just ever since he lost to Kenpachi who doesn't even have bankai some people think that it's weak. But, on the contrair it's just as powerful. Tousen just got too carried and overconfident against Kenpachi that's why he lost. Anyways, Suzumushi is a great Zanpaktou.

Tousen's is really cool. I forgot about ikkaku's blade! I liked the design when I first saw it in shikai as well as in bankai. Soi fong's is really elegant. With that stinger it almost looks like a piece of jewelery as well as a weapon.

I like Kensei's dagger too. (white haired vaizard) He's another great close range fighter.

houzukimaru & hyourinmaru seem like dragons are so of course they're the best.

senbonzakura is the best though. it can be used in nearly all kinds of battles, and can attack, defend and trap ppl.

pantera & zangetsu are pretty amazing cos they're so basic. they look very cool and give super speed.

tenken & verruga are really cool. like brute force types. zabimaru seems similar i guess.

volcanica & ryuujinjakka are both fire tyes so of course they're cool.

I voted for Suzumebachi cause it's 2-hit KO is one of the best abilities and cause i'm a bit biased since I like Soi Fon a lot!

My vote also goes to Senbonzakura and Zabimaru I like their abilities and their bankai. I like Senbonzakura Kageyoshi's Senkei (Massacre Scene) and Shukei (Final Scene) abilites, and Hihio Zabimaru's Hikotsu Taiho(Baboon King Cannon)

I've voted for Rukias Sode no Shirayuki, because it's so pretty, being all white with it's belt at the very end. And her ice-powers are awesome. I was kind of surprised that Rukias Zanpaktou is an ice-type, but it suits her.
Then I voted for Benihime, because it's a bit mystherious. We don't know how it's Bankai looks like and from what Urahara had said, it seems to be different from other Bankai.
My last vote has gone to "other", because Houzukimaru is not a choice here. I really like it. It's Bankai is too huge, but I really like Ikkaku using it.

the question is which of those actually got more usses, for ichigo its simply straight forward, slash and bigger slash.
byakuya showed some intresting evolutions but the most versatile zanpakotuo is without a doubt Aizen-sama Kyoka Suigetsu, and can be used all the time for spying, misleading, social reasons and fighting.

Wabisuke, Kira's Zanpakuto is not only awesome looking, but one of the most unique yet useful shikais I can think of. Not to mention its release phrase is the perfect irony. Raise your head Wabisuke.

He's even proven just how useful it can be.
Not shown much in the manga though in the anime Kira took down Daruku (Koga's doll) which even Ichigo couldn't do with his Shikai.

Reasons:

Sode No Shirayuki: I'm loving whatever I've seen so far. Awesome shikai with three dances combined with the fact that this is just the shikai we've seen so far. I cant wait to see more of its abilities.

SenbonZakura: A zanpakutou whose bankai has several forms! That to me is made of awesome.

Benihime: Purely for aesthetic reasons. I cannot comment on Benihime's abilities as we haven't seen much, but it is a beautiful zanpakutou and I would love to see more.

My vote is for Benihime, Urahara's blade. We know that the shikai allows Urahara to create shields and throw blasts that mirror the effects of a hollow's Cero, but the only thing we know about the bankai is that it's "Not very useful to increase one's power through training." I find that intriguing... plus, ya gotta love that in it's unreleased form, the zanpacto hides itself as a wlking stick: it's a shinigami sword cane!

My favorite overall is Fuji Kujaku, Yumichika Ayasgawa's Khopesh-looking sword. The look is cool, plus the ability to drain one's opponent's spiritual power is a wicked attack.

To be honest, I don't like Zangetsu in its shikai form. Reminds me too much of final fantasy with the main character carrying around a huge buster blade on his back. It wasn't until Ichigo went bankai and Tensa Zangetsu was revealed that I liked his sword. The sleek black design with a great design on the hilt is very appealing.

For second I like Benhime the Crimson Princess. The fact that its the only female zanpakuto (I think) we've heard of is pretty cool status. Also, I like the fact that Kisuke uses it as an umbrella XD

I'm an ice person, I love that element, and SnS is just so beautiful, I love it. As for Zangetsu, I love it's bankai form. Tensa Zangetsu to me is the coolest looking zanpakuto in the series so far, and I love the uniqueness of it, and how different it is from the standard shinigami's zanpakuto.

I actually kind of like Santa Teresa (Nnoitra's Zanpakuto) if we can count the Arrancar's Zanpakuto. The look + release of his was pretty awesome.

My favorite is definitely Ashisogi Jizou. It's one of the most underrated zanpakuto. In bankai, it constantly releases deadly poison that spreads to a certain area and Mayuri always changes its formula so no antidote can be invented for it, except the ones Mayuri and Nemu have in possession. It can also self-destruct which means it is one of the only zanpakuto's that won't be used against their owner. Also, its surprise spikes seem useful enough and seriously, grotesque baby head on a caterpillar that breathes poison? Epic.
